When I set it to a specific position though, it automatically moves back to where it was previously positioned. That is annoying, especially if I'm trying to view something on my screen at that moment.

Posted .Hi there! Thank you for sharing your experience with the Wyze Cam Pan v3. We understand how frustrating it can be when the camera doesn't stay in the position you set. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:
Check Detection Zone: If a Detection Zone is enabled, the camera will automatically return to its original position after 15 seconds of being idle. You can turn this off in the camera’s settings:
Go to Detection Settings > Detection Zone and toggle it off.
Turn Off Track Motion: If Track Motion is enabled, the camera will follow movement and may not stay in your set position.
In the Live stream toolbar, slide to Track Motion and tap to turn it off (the icon will be grey when off).
Turn Off Pan Scan: If Pan Scan is enabled, the camera will move between set waypoints.
In the Live stream toolbar, slide to Pan Scan and tap to turn it off (the icon will be grey when off).
Update App and Firmware: Make sure your Wyze app and camera firmware are up to date for the best performance.
Power Cycle or Reset: If the issue persists, try power cycling the camera or performing a factory reset.

Not good for cold weather or seeing details

The camera does stop working when it gets cold. It still streams video but the ability to move the camera around stops. I don’t recommend this camera if it will be in cold weather. Also, this camera does not provide the ability to see things in detail like faces or license plates.
