    Wyze has always been leading with price and tech. This gets the job done and 2x better than v1 door bell, it integrates very nice with the existing door bell chime. My new construction home did need a new door bell transformer(higher power) to be added, simple basic high electrical work at the breaker box. This is almost easier to add this doorbell than adding a true camera with power. If your cost conscious like me the sd card option is great for playback, always recommend sandisk max endurance with continuous recording.

    Piece of crap. Only does video on doorbell press. I got an SD card and it still won't allow video like my garage camera will to SD. It isn't a setup thing either, but the app. Unless it was already crapping or, because now it won't connect to Wi-Fi and won't factory reset.

      1. Troubleshooting the Video Recording Issue
      If your Wyze Video Doorbell v2 is only recording video when the doorbell is pressed, here are some steps to ensure proper functionality:

      Check Motion Detection Settings:
      Open the Wyze app and navigate to the doorbell’s settings.
      Go to Event Recording and ensure Motion Detection is enabled.
      If motion detection is working, you can also enable Smart Detections for specific AI-based recordings.

      Verify Event Recording Schedule:
      In the doorbell’s settings, go to Event Recording > Schedule.
      Ensure All Day is toggled on.

      Adjust Detection Sensitivity:
      Navigate to Detection Zone in the doorbell’s settings.
      Set the sensitivity to 100. If you receive too many notifications, you can lower it gradually.

      Check for Automations:
      Go to the Home tab in the Wyze app and tap Automations.
      Delete any Automations that might interfere and re-add them one by one while testing.

    Install was simple and works great. My WYZE doorbell stays online and has a solid connect. The picture clarity is very good and i like the onboard 24/7 recording via sdcard so the doorbell requires no monthly subscription and works better than my Ring doorbell.

    Added the doorbell camera when I had $20 in Best buy credit that was gonna expire soon. Wanted to add it to my existing Wyze setup. Though getting the camera set up was a little shaky getting the camera to read the QR code, once it scanned it the setup was easy and has been working since.

    Does not stay connected to the network

    The video quality is better than the original Wyze doorbell camera. The field of view is better. That's the good. Now the bad... the camera will not stay connected to the network. You cannot restart it in the app. The only way to reconnect it is to turn it off at the breaker box. I reported it and they sent me a new camera, same problem. Until this is fixed, its worthless. I switched back to the old one.
