Great movie, Great price, love the xmen movies, would recommend.

As with most trilogies, by the time you get to the 3rd installment the producers, writers and directors are trying to put too much into the movie. Trying to introduce/reintroduce too many characters along with a storyline and villain that deserved more time to develop as well as trying to continue already established storylines make what could have been the pinacle of this second Xmen trilogy a fan favorite, fall short. It felt rushed and was unsatisfying. But the effects as always are well done and the McAvoy and Fassbenders time as Prof X and Magneto have been the highlight of the series and fit well with their counterparts McKellen and Stewarts portrayals in the original series.

The movie has great sound and picture quality on blu ray. There are lots of good mutants and bad mutants and of course Professor Xavier and Magneto. There is even a brief appearance by Wolverine. We get to see The early Phoenix, Cyclops, Havoc, The Beast, Nightcrawler, Storm and the Angel. If you like mutants this movie is for you. The story starts in Cairo, Egypt in 3600 B.C.E. where we see Apocalypse, a god-like ruler who we later learn is the first Mutant on this planet. When Apocalypse escapes from his tomb in the modern era he wants to rule the world. He goes looking for some mutants to be his bodyguard and help him in his quest to rule. This runs counter to Professor X and the mutants in his school for gifted children. The action during the entire movie is fast and furious and the movie is very entertaining. If you like Marvel Comics and The X-Men this movie is for you.

After seeing the theatrical trailer for this movie I was not at all interested in seeing it. I thought by the appearance of Apocalypse, plus the history of X-Men movies not being that great, I thought it looked like it was going to be terrible. Plus I'm no fan of Brian Singer film or Jennifer Lawrence. Singer is blowing the Mystique character way of of proportion as usual. After seeing it on DVD, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a good story, even though the Magneto story ran its course long ago. Apocalypse's physical presence aside, he was a good character. Plus I think those of use who know the X-Men history are tired of seeing the same characters rehashed over and over.

X-men apocalypse is one of the best action movies of the year.

Great movie for any x-men fans out there. Must watch.

I had heard this movie was so-so but when I watched it I found it to be one of the better super hero movies I had seen in a long time. I loved the back drop of the 1980's and the way we get to see these characters change from the 60's to the 80's over the course of the new trilogy. Some highlights include a crazy cameo by an old favorite, a lot of easter eggs/references to previous X-men films, and an over the top action sequence that I had to watch several times because of how well it was put together (you will know it when you see it!). The movie was a lot of fun! Blu-ray quality was excellent but these days with digital shot films that is a given. Love the Blu-ray/DVD/online code packages because I can keep the online code and sell off the physical discs to make my purchase essentially free (provided it was bought on sale of course)
