Out of all the X-men movies I own in either Blu-ray or 4K, this one stands out over all the other in all areas. Movie is good which is a bonus as well. Colors are super vivid and bass is deep in a lot of the action scenes. Tell the neighbors before you play this one lol.

It’s so nice to find 3D movies. All the companies are going to 4K. I have a great tv with 4K and 3D. After buying a couple of movies in both formats I highly recommend the 3D versions. So much better. Please have more 3D. Better yet include them in a 4K pack

The X-men back in action. The newer generation have come around to stand their ground and show they have something to share with the world of X-men and its legacy. The visual effects and action sequences are on point.

My least favorite of the rebooted X-Men movies. Nonetheless it corrects the mistakes of X-Men The Last Stand and introduces the Phoenix Saga the way it deserves. Top-notch 3D presentation if you have a capable TV.

As a life-long X-Men fan, X-Men Apocalypse is the movie I've waited over 25 years for. And while it does some great things with some of the characters, most of the movie is a lost opportunity. Apocalypse himself doesn't look as bad as everyone says (in my opinion) but the problem with the character in this movie is that he doesn't do much. He just postures and pontificates a lot and rehashes his desire to rebuild the world in his image ad nauseam. Apocalypse has the abilities to wipe the floor with the X-Men but he never even tries in this movie. Casting for Jean, Cyclops, Storm and Nightcrawler is pretty much spot-on but they are never really given the chance to shine as the A-Listers they are. And Apocalypse empowering Storm? Give me a break. That's a disservice to the character of Ororo Munroe. Psylocke makes her cinematic debut in this movie but I don't think Singer knew what to do with her. She's not evil in the comics, but in this movie, who could tell? They should have waited to introduce her in an X-Force movie or Deadpool sequel. Dazzler should have filled her spot in this movie. I mean, it's set in the '80's. Archangel looked cool, but they "massacred" his origin story here. (Comics fans know what I mean.) Without a doubt the most frustrating thing about this movie is Mystique. Jennifer Lawrence is a fine actress but she is terrible at portraying Mystique. I don't think she cares about the character or this franchise so she needs to go and not come back. Mystique is NOT a hero. She is a selfish, manipulative killer who will do whatever it takes to accomplish her goals. So unless they take her back to her roots, NO MORE MYSTIQUE IN X-MEN MOVIES! (Exception being Rebecca Romijn of course. She was perfectly cast.) I'm also tired of Magneto. Michael Fassbender is an awesome Magneto and I would definitely watch a solo movie with him but the character needs to be removed from the movies in order to let ACTUAL X-Men have screen time. Quicksilver has a bit too much screen time as well, although his action sequence in this movie is pretty rad. All in all, X-Men Apocalypse is a fun movie but like every other X-Men movie it leaves something to be desired. Let's hope next time they focus on the X-Men as a team, not villains and side characters as they keep doing.

I collect Marvel so I had to get this in 4k. Its fun watching these old flicks with improved image quality and HDR, This is a no brainer if you like marvel, if your new to the XMen series they're great. If you like comics you'll enjoy this

While a step down from Days of Future Past, this movie is really enhanced by the 3D, and something is lost when watching in 2D. This is a great addition to the X-Men library!

If you like the movie, then you should get it. I have seen it a few times already. The picture quality is excellent on my 120 inch projector screen. I got it for a good price, so definitely worth it.

I'm a fan of (almost) all of the current crop of superhero films. The X-Men series in particular is an odd one. It's gone on arguably too long with intertwined and muddled continuity. While the past couple of films seemed to get things back on track, this one was a bit of a disappointment. The last two in the series, First Class and Days of Future Past, moved the overall story along nicely, cleaned up some of that messy continuity and provided strong standalone stories in the process. What we have here is something that seems to try more to introduce young versions of characters we know who will appear in future films than to actually tell a quality story. The premise is basic and all interesting characters are criminally underused. If this is Singer's final X-Men attempt, OK by me. What we do have is some truly gorgeous, though mindless, fun. While I was tempted to pick up the 4K, as it should be stunning, I went with 3D as this is one of the few films that has recently been shot natively in the format. The visuals are exceptional. Lot of depth, images popping and flame effects just kind of floating in front of you. If you don't care about using your brain and just want to escape and see something cool, this is it. Would make a wonderful demo disc to show off your 3D tv to friends.

It's basically a closing chapter to a feeble trilogy that started out pretty well and then ran out of gas, and now must serve as a prequel to shadowy X-related endeavors yet to come.

it’s a lot of fun, and new cast are likeable and take well to their iconic roles. But if you’re expecting a more direct continuation of First Class and Days of Future Past, like I was, you might be a touch disappointed. A decade has passed since we last saw Xavier, Magneto, and the rest. For some little has changed in that time. Xavier and Beast are taking in and teaching more gifted kids who can't find a place within society. Meanwhile, Magneto has begun a new life under an assumed identity. The Directors invested considerable time in establishing and elaborating a few key relationships. At the center of it all, of course, was the problematic friendship of Professor X and Magneto, but the pair barely share a scene together here. It’s a shame as both actors obviously still have plenty to offer in the roles. McAvoy has matured wonderfully into an inspirational teacher. There’s a great scene in which dozens of students, including Jubilee, hang on every word he says, while Fassbender enjoys one incredible scene early on which exposes the character’s, but it’s not long before he’s recruited by Apocalypse and transformed into little more than hired muscle. Taken as the next chapter in the series, Apocalypse is an undeniably fun and entertaining adventure and does a pretty good job of keeping everyone sitting on the edge of their seats.

Goofy End to a Terrific Trilogy

I am a fan of the X-Men series, both the original Patrick Stewart / Ian McKellen trilogy of films and the prequel/ reboots starring James Macavoy and Michael Fassbender. In my opinion, these are the gold standard of Marvel Comic book movies. So I was a built-in audience for the third film in the reboot series. That "Apocalypse" is not up to the level of accomplishment of "Days of the Future Passed," the previous installment, is both evident but not really evidence against this film. "Apocalypse" is so goofy in its story, so over-the-top in its effects, that it almost plays as a parody of the series without really undermining the codes and conventions that have made these films so memorable. Oscar Isaac comes aboard as one of those timeless villains that only exist in comic books--the ancient entity with mystical powers who is going to cleanse the world of corruption. Marvel specializes in this kind of antagonist, and I must admit that I am a sucker for such swill. What else would explain my affinity for "Blade Trinity"? The plot pits those mutants who are seduced by this End of Days deity and those that still harbor hope for mankind. Anyway, it's all pretty silly, but the special effects are first rate, the actors are committed, and all the requisite bases are touched in bringing this particular X-Men trilogy to a close. There's even a teaser in the credits setting up the next X-Men spin-off featuring Wolverine. What more could an X-Men fan ask for?
