    Great system, but...

First, let me say that this is a VERY good system. The fact that you can resume the last game you are playing without having to watch the initial load stuff is amazing, and the graphics are amazing of course. Even adding another controller was easy. That being said, there are a few very minor things. You apparently (at least I couldn't find out how to) can't set up the system without having internet access for it. That threw out my idea of using it offline for awhile. Also, the games seem to all download a lot onto the system, which means the space goes a lot faster. That being said, it's still a very nice system.

I loved this system. I play it almost everyday and have no troubles with it. Its quiet and runs every game/app with no lag. Best 500 dollars spent in a very long time, thanks Microsoft

I had an Xbox 360 since pretty much when it came out, and the Xbox One is an obvious improvement in every way. The graphics are better, the interface is better and the controller is nicer, as well. I haven't taken advantage of all the multimedia and entertainment options, but I love knowing they're there for whenever I do want to peruse them.

    1080p say what?

Out of the box, the xbone was beefy and solid. Setup was a breeze except for the one guide and cable connection. What M$ didn't mention in their commercials and adverts for the cheaper model was that without the kinect, you have no way to setup the one guide. Essentially, the cable is simply passed through and you still have to use your cable remote because there is no ir device to capture and command. Boo. Gameplay is a strikingly vibrant, smooth and seamless. Those who "pwn CoD" on lesser platforms will have to adjust to the upgraded graphics and smoother play before regaining their "golden god" attitude. The whole 1080p argument is simply a fanboy defense. The beautiful graphics that both consoles are capable of only mean that you are immersed like never before, and you cannot tell the difference unless lying motionless watching the simulated trees swaying in the simulated breeze, but you're not. You're trying to outrun zombies or catch racers or fight for your planet. At the $399 price point, the xbone and ps4 are a toss up, but if your leaning toward M$, pay $499 and get the kinect. Save yourself the frustration of looking online for a used one later. It really is worth it.

Do not sell your X Box 360!

Do not sell your xbox 360. There is no backwards compatibility for xbox 360 games. I bought it because I was excited about playing Destiny with my friend who has an xbox one. I could not play Destiny with him from my xbox 360! I traded in my xbox 360 and games thinking that I'd never miss them with the new xbox. That was a premature decision. I was looking forward to playing the new Borderland PreSequel but found out later that it is is not made for xbox one. Super disappointing because Borderlands is by far my favorite game ever! I ended up buying back a used xbox 360. The texture and graphics details are amazing, even close up. Your last game is always loaded and ready to play instantly. The menu is upgraded and quit intuitive. I mostly use xbox for games and the occasional movie, so the other functions are of little importance to me. If the xbox one was backwards compatible I would have given it an easy score of 5!

I was excited to get this, and rightfully so. I have two complaints: 1) It is an absolute pain to get your gamertag activated if you forgot even one small detail of your account info, and Microsoft's 30 day waiting period is absurd. Also, navigation is a pain, especially if you "snap" something. Also, the ESPN app is atrocious, and one of my favorite things about the 360. Now to the good: The graphics are beautiful, Forza 5 is brilliantly done, as is Watchdogs. I can't wait for The Master Chief Collection, Destiny, AC: Unity, and Halo 5 (with Halo4's graphics being so extraordinary Halo 5's should be even more intense).

    XB1 Does What I Expected

Overall it’s a very solid console. Lots of media features that you would expect like Netflix, Hulu, etc… The addition of a Blu-Ray player is well accepted. Loading times seem slow for games. Even full version downloaded games seem a little slow. Your HDD will fill up quickly. You can add a USB 3.0 external to add on existing storage for games, music, or whatever you desire. However only USB 3.0 can be used for games, USB 2.0 externally will not work. The Kinect is a nice feature, voice commands work well and for games like Zoo Tycoon it really gives you an immersive experience. The new XB1 controller is feels fluid and even more responsive than that of the 360. I do recommend the rechargeable battery kit. You will fly threw AA’s very quickly. Also, I would look around at headsets if you’re into gaming online with titles such as CoD or Titanfall. Overall I’m very happy with our purchase and I hope it lasts years to come.

I got this system based on being able to play online with friends. My 360 is fine and there are times i regret the purchase of the xbox one because it seems a waste. Really wish the xbox one played 360 games. The dashboard is okay and the control is nice. I got the system cheaper by not getting the kinect, which only has a few uses at this point. If you don't need a new system, I'd stick with what you've got.

Good system with multiple uses..easy to use interface with lots of customization options and downloadable apps. Fast processing speeds. Great controller. Great graphics. Gave it a 4 because it's still new and I have only played UFC. Need to play some more games to see if it's 5 worthy.

The xbox one is a great console. It works really well without the kinect. The graphics are amazing and the controller is even better then before. I'm really excited for this console and what's in store for it. Also looking forward to the 3D blu ray update next month!

I'm a multi-console fan, I had everything in the past 25 years. I bought this Xbox One for mostly the platform-exclusives, including the Sunset Overdrive, the Halo: The Master Chief Collection pack, and for many others. The One really took over the place in the living room, co-operating with the TV setup-box, You're gonna get (if you download the apps from the Store) Youtube, Twitch, ReddX, Media Player, sport channels, I almost always watch Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime on it, and I got even a 3D Blu-ray player under the hood. It has the best controller ever made by manufactures, with the best rumbling triggers, accurate analogs, make gaming process really, really comfy and fun! For $399, it is now a great deal!

A year ago, this system was dead in the water. The horrible policies still haunt Microsoft to this day. Fast forward to this year, and thanks to the removal of said policies, the Xbox One is a decent gaming system. It has some features that I do not use, such as TV and Kinect, but it has exclusives that I love, and my friends are on Xbox Live. Also, the controller is not that different from the 360, and that is my favorite controller. The interface isn't the greatest, buyer beware if you can't stand a Windows 8 style format, but over time it gets easier to use. Only time will tell if the Xbox One will live up to the Xbox 360. The PS4 is the better choice right now if all you want is the gaming experience, but the Xbox One is finally closing the distance.

The Xbox One performs better than anything we have tried. Ease of use is key. Going to the web is faster than using the Smart TV, and of course playing is amazing.

Great next gen console that has been cutting down the price the last year to bump up in sales with Sony. Be sure to check up on the exclusives and controller scheme to see if this is the system for you
