Overall the Series X is a proven and well vetted console that has been extremely reliable and held the performance crown for most of this generation. The value is the reason I chose it over the PS5 Pro. For parents on a budget, hopefully this will help you decide which machine to buy this Christmas. This is the highest end console Microsoft offers and it is currently 43% cheaper than the PS 5 Pro. This means you can play all of the game pass games for about 3 years before you match the price of the PS 5 Pro console alone. PS5 and Xbox both have gaming services with plans that include a library of games to play. You can get the xbox yearly service for about $100 every holiday season, PS 5's gaming version is about 20% more expensive than that. The PS 5 version will never include 1st party titles on the same day that they launch, so you will end up paying $60 per title that you want to play. Also, most of the older library of PS Plus games are streaming only, so they have serious playability limitations. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will see every 1st party title included, in the service, the day the game launches. Even more, all of these games will run right on the console, so there won't be any latency problems with the games. Another area where the Xbox has added value over the PS5 is in racing simulation hardware. Purchasing a Racing wheel and pedals is more expensive as it requires a chip and licensing fee from the manufacturers, or it will not work with the console. This adds as much as $200 to cost of the hardware, so that's another thing to factor in.

I was debating saving for and purchasing the newest Xbox - but after doing some research, I learned that the only true difference was the capacity and one other minor thing. I decided to save the money and purchase a second 1TB Xbox Series X to replace my Xbox One X I kept in the bedroom (I already had a Series X in the living room). This was an amazing deal (Xmas deal - and I am a Best Buy Total Member) for the white and I was able to receive another $80 for my old system. $300 for a brand new Series X? Sold! Works as well as my system downstairs (my wifi router is located on the other side of the house on the 1st floor). Depending on the day of the week, I can play games at different times - now there is no disturbing my husband when he is watching sports. If you are looking to purchase an Xbox, go with the series X - you can always buy a external hard drive on sale if you feel you will need additional space down the road - Best Buy always has great sales.

I can finally play games again with the newer console. The White looks great and happy they had it without a useless disc drive. The only negative is it should be a crime to not include at least 10 terabytes of storage. Most games can be 100 gigabytes and many updates are 60 plus gigabytes. We shouldnt have to store 1 game at a time. I added 11 terabytes for a total of 12. It seems though that some games can not run from external drives so you will have to transfer it to the onboard drive or extension drive.

Love my xbox series X. It works perfectly fine and faster than my old xbox. The staff helped me choose this one out within my budget and were friendly!

The cd-less version of this Xbox Series X is fantastic. Works very well, fast & efficient. The white color blends in very well with the room, feels stealth... love it.

I believe in digital, this guy is my main console. I know a lot of people prefer PlayStation but I rather enjoy Xbox since growing up. This Xbox is a great choice if you enjoy buying your games digitally, which I do, having the ability access your games right from the ui and not having to store a ton of discs is my ideal choice. It might not be for everyone and physical games do still have ton of upside. I just prefer this option and the console seems to be quieter and runs not as hot as a Xbox with a drive.

I used to have the original Xbox series x that I got during covid and i feel like the graphics in my games look better on this new series x. I may be mistaken tho, not sure. I like that i saved $50 since i dont use the disc. This xbox works great, and i actually got rid of my ps5 for this and no regrets. I just like the interface, the way the settings are, better than on ps5. I play alot of warzone battle royale and it plays alot better on this xbox than it did on the ps5 i had. It pairs well with my samsung tv and i love it.

This xbox works great, no lag so far, fast loading times, handles games well at 4k 120fps, as long as its well venitilated is does well on not overheating. It's a great buy if you don't want or need to buy physical media to play your games, just get a expansion card or portable hard drive and play away

Backward compatibility with previous Xbox games is a huge bonus. The only downside is the limited internal storage, but an expansion card solves that. Highly recommend it for serious gamers!
