Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a deep, immersive experience worth the time. The colorful cast of memorable characters, scenery, soundtrack, and game mechanics make this an enjoyable, fun game to play! The game is not entirely flawless, but what it excels at more than makes up for its shortcomings, many of which have already been resolved via updates. There are some mixed views on the slow start the game has, but I personally enjoy the slow paced beginnings to games such as these. However, regardless of your stance on the start, things pick up rather quickly. This adventure is not your typical Mario or Zelda adventure from Nintendo. However, Monolithsoft knows how to make a fantastic game worth your time!

If you want an RPG on Switch, you need this game! Buy it!

Great game and awesome engine but gets a bit too grindy towards the end if you didn’t manage your blades correctly.

This game is great. Having never played neither of the recent Xeno games on the DS, I was worried about whether I'd be able to understand the story. Those worries were unfounded. At about 60 hours in, this game has completely absorbed me - and so far, the story seems standalone. Standouts for me are character designs, the music (so good!), and the fighting system. It can be very simple, but it reveals a depth and complexity the more you get into it. One big warning: if you do not like Japanese anime or its tropes, this game is more than likely not for you. This game not only shows its anime influences, it revels in them. If that's is something you dislike, you might want to look at some additional reviews before you buy.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is an amzing JRPG. It has excellent story and gameplay. The game provides enough variety to keep players interested for a long time. I definitely recommend this to all fans of RPG games.

Starts kinda slow and there is a learning curve but the story is interesting and a great way to blow some time

This is another Switch hit. Maybe not a must have like BOTW or Odyssey, but a whole lot of fun. The fighting is based on chaining combos and timing attacks, and it’s a lot more real time than some other JRPGs. You still auto attack, but timing your attacks is fun and challenging to completely master. There’s a lot of walking around which can be frustrating at times but the world is visually interesting and each area unique enough that I haven’t gotten bored so far (30 hours into the game right now). It’s pretty much like playing an action anime, with fighting, jokes, and of course a public bath house/hot spring scene. The characters are likable enough to keep me interested. I’m excited to see where the story goes.
