Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the deep gameplay, touching story, and immersive world of Xenoblade Chronicles 2, often praising the game's music as well. However, some find the voice acting and battle system to be challenging, while others point to occasional performance and resolution issues, particularly in handheld mode. The map's usability is also a source of some frustration for players.

Niche with Bad Game Mechanics but a Solid Story
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game isn't for everyone. The story while interesting is a slower paced game, and takes around 75 hours to compete minimum. The larger problems is the maddening game design and simple problems with Quality of Life. Battle system is extremely boring, with you pressing a button once ever 20 seconds, and even the weakest enemies take 2-3 minutes to beat. This grinding really adds up. The map compass is entirely pointless, because it only points you in the direction of the objective rather than the actual route to take. This would be fine, but the map itself is clunky and requires an entire overlay to read. I would not recommend this game.

Story is Engaging!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was not sure about this purchase but once i started, the characters have stories and build up which was unexpected. Gameplay does have a learning curve and the animation sometimes gets slightly muddy but these are things you can overlook as the story and gameplay make up for it!

Get ready to let time fly while playing this game!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, the combination of the story and the gameplay really pulls you in the first time around. It’s a little tricky at first but after a couple of fights you’ll get the hang of it. There after it’s all about leveling up while following the story path. Unlike other games this one has several side quests that can be done which help improve the community in each respective zone, by buying and trading with vendors that rank increases further unlocking more side quests and developing what can and can’t be sold. There’s so much to do you’ll want to go out of your way to gather and hunt, overall you will get lost in this game, and you will have fun.

Great RPG for the Switch
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been really enjoying this game, love the story / lore in the game. The combat in the game is very MMO like, you auto attack to build up charge for you special attacks. My biggest annoyance with the game is the fan service / waifu styled blades. Other than that really fun

Haven't finished yet but it's great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After chapter 3. If the battle system seems slow, it is. I'd say stick with it if you think you can get through 15 hours of tutorials. You'll have 85-200 hours ahead of really good game.

Xenoblade 2 is great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some of the females and their outfits do pander to the male audience, but you really have to expect that most times in a jrpg. Saying that, the game is great. The combat is really really confusingly deep, but once you get it, it becomes second nature. As with all Xeno games from gears through saga, to blade and blade x, there are systems upon systems upon systems for you to learn. This isn't your toddler's rpg. While Xenogears is my fav game of all time, this is probably right up there with Xenosaga III as my second favorite Xenogame ever. I am getting close to the end, at 120 hours in, but still have sidequest and post game stuff to do once I beat it.

Really Enjoying This Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you enjoyed the first Xenoblade Chronicles or like JRPGs then you'll definitely enjoy this one. If you haven't played the first one, no worries because the game is enjoyable standalone. I may even consider picking up some the DLC schedule for release this fall.

Great JRPG so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve only played for about 5 hours, but so far it’s a compelling story, great looking characters, esp Pyra, and fun gameplay. Enjoy it more than chronicles X or one at this point.

Inconsistent, but amazing game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game has some of the greatest and most idiotic things of any game I've played. Overall, I really recommend it. The scale of the world and story and depth of combat mechanics are groundbreaking. These are only hampered by very inconsistent systems and pacing.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a good J-RPG. The game is very cinematic with tons of cut scenes and decent voice-over work to bring the story to life. Xenoblade 2 shines in its complex but fun battle system. A system that allows the player to chain combos and blade powers. Monolithsoft the developers have done an incredible job of fleshing out these worlds that exist on the backs of Titans. If you haven't played Xenoblade before you don't have to worry. This is a fresh new story with characters so no past knowledge is necessary. There are 100's of hours of gameplay here with the core experiance not including the expansion DLC season pass.

Surprised!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't intend on getting this game, but if you are a JRPG fan it's a must have for the switch. Easily a hundred hours of gameplay with a great cast and narrative. It has a slow start and an extremely complex combat system but once you get into it's well worth it.
