Xenoblade 2 really has only one truly modern cutting-edge element that I've seen so far, though this one's a game-changer: its portability. No, this isn't the first sandbox game to show up on Switch, and honestly it's nowhere near as thoughtful a work as Breath of the Wild or Skyrim.

If Persona 5 is my RPG of the year for PS4, then Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is mine for the Switch! Tons of hours of gameplay with an immersive story and strategic gameplay. Do check out the combat as it might not be for everyone. It's very static (turn-like) in nature versus the active combat style some may prefer.

Pretty different from the original Xenoblade but still a great game. Cool setting and battle mechanics. Check it out.

Jist another amazing game for the Nintendo Switch. It's a massive scale JRPG with hundreds of hours worth of content.

I have only played Xenoblade Chronicles on the 3DS prior to purchasing this game for the Switch. The game starts slow and has a big learning curve. Once your character starts to develop the fun really starts. Leveling up is the key to making this game easier to understand. If you like big RPGs, this game is for you.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is the sequel to the original for the Wii. This franchise is for Nintendo what Final Fantasy is for the Playstation in my opinion. It is better on the tv than in handheld mode but I played the game both ways. Some may believe in handheld mode that it can be a little off graphically. This is a large game so for it to have the capability to play in handheld mode, quite remarkable in the first place.

This game is heavily influenced by Anime, and has a extremely deep game mechanics system. It takes a little while to get use to playing the game and I advise watching youtube tutorials.

Very reminiscent of the original Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii. Brand new story and brand new characters though. You can easily sink a few hundred hours into this game if you choose to follow all the side quests. Graphics are not Breath of the Wild quality, but still a very nice. Great soundtrack too.

Very traditional jrpg with tons of cutscenes, character development, a bit of grinding and deep mechanics. There's some issues with dialogue but I expect the first patch will fix them.

This is the first Xenoblade title I’ve played. I’m definitely not a big fan of games that have a lot of Japanese styling and gameplay, but this one is different and I like it overall.

This game may end up being a sleeper hit! Honestly one of my personal greatest of all time games. 200 hours in and I'm still playing and discovering. Great for fans of anime and JRPG's but enough philosophical depth to be extremely rewarding for any willing to sink their time into it's hefty size.

This is one of my first JRPG games, and I most say it is very enjoyable. It is very different than western RPGs e.g. Skyrim, Fallout, but with some time it really grows on you. Story-driven, with lots of cut scenes and very quirky characters. Also lots of button mashing and timing is involved.

If you have played Xenoblade Chronicles you know what you are getting into. That being said, the play in handheld mode is downright ugly at times. Best to play this docked.

If you have played any of the Xeno- games this is a great addition to it. As well as if you are a new player to the world. It's got all the classic elements of RPG with some interesting bits and the story is pretty nice. Great addition to your library of RPGs to go alongside games like Zelda.

My son absolutely loved the first game in the series and it was extremely hard to find. I ended up getting it on eBay used. I waited a while to buy this one for him but figured I'd better do it before this one sold out. He is very pleased with it. Says it might be better than the first.

I went into this game with low expectations so i would not be disappointed. Oh boy was I wrong. This game was amazing. It has a lengthy story that is full of emotion and meaning. You won't want to put this game down. New Game+ is right around the corner and I cannot wait to play it again.
