Fanciful, challenging, and fun to play; although the map is not as useful as in other games and finding a solution sometimes takes a lot longer than my tolerance wants to give.

Pretty standard JRPG. Very time consuming but fun all around if you like JRPG’s. Story is good but nothing crazy special. A lot of super long cutscenes though, and I’m talking like hours upon hours of cutscenes through out the whole main story. Still enjoyed it.

When it comes to the Xenoblade franchise you mostly know what you’re getting yourself into. This game’s story is rock solid, better than 1 and X in my opinion. Game playand combat is fun, exploring is a treat. I highly recommend!

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is becoming one of my favorite RPGs of the year, an easily one of the best games on the Switch. While the combat system is complex, its mechanics are delivered to you over the first couple of chapters, thereby easing you into their nuances. I never felt overwhelmed by it, so don't let gameplay videos or screenshots intimidate you. The artstyle is gorgeous, the world is an absolute joy to explore, and trying to obtain all of the rare blades is addictive. Certainly a must have for Switch owners and JRPG fans.

So, after roughly 50-60 hours of the game I just started entered chapter 6 (I’ve been told there are ten chapters). The combat can be a bit tedious on fighting regular monsters but the depth and complexity are perfect for a game of this magnitude. The story is great and offers some surprisingly amount of contemplation about humanity and our nature, or just a fun story if you decide to just go with it and not put any thought into it beyond itself. Overall a great addition to the Switch and highly recommended.

Love the game so far, the graphics and voice actors are definitely a plus. Prepare in advance as you will be investing many hours into this game! **A quick warning for parents purchasing Switch games for their children this holiday season. The play style of this game is a little advance and I probably wouldn't recommend it for kids under 10, Not to mention there is foul language from time to time. If those don't come off as a problem, then I can definitely recommend this game to anyone's Switch collection!

I have only played it a short time but so far I am enjoying it. The graphics are good, battle system is good, and all a good game the only problem is the English voice overs are not really good.

Bought this game about 2 weeks ago... It's my first time with this series. I've poured about 10 hours into it. I wish I could play more, but my girlfriend has poured about 30 into it in the same time frame. We both adore the game. It has its anime moments, so be prepared for that. It's done in a lighthearted manner that doesn't detract from the gameplay. The gameplay itself starts off just okay; there's a lot of depth to be found overall, and a lot of beautiful environments that I didn't think the Switch could handle. Occasional dips in frame rate, but mostly in handheld mode and in very busy environments. Do not let the lack of familiarity scare you, it takes time to get acquainted, but honestly, I like this game as much as Splatoon 2/Zelda/Mario, and I love all those games. Also, a final note: I love the voice acting. It's not perfect, but it just caught me off guard. It's not a perfect game, but it's excellent in what it offers. If you're looking for a game to play after the well-known games- this one at the LEAST will hold you over until the next major release.

This game has it all. Great story, great graphics and amazing Battle system! Don't miss this amazing experience!

Decebt graphics, large scale of worlds, if you cab overcome the anime styling then the story os a joy to follow

I must admit that I played the original and was not wowed by it. A big part of that was that I was not crazy about the Wii controls. Play for about 10 hours and then just lost interest. Purchase of the sequel when I got a switch light and I have to say and grabbed me from the start and didn’t let go till the end. Great story, and great voice acting, great music end graphically very nice. Was not a fan of the first games combat system and while I would’ve liked this one to have a more traditional system I do have the changes that they’ve made Since the first game are a great improvement. I quickly purchased physical copy of the expansion and really enjoyed that as well. I put this game up there with the likes of breath of the wild, the Witcher three and Final Fantasy 12 as the best switch RPG ‘s.

See the title. This is one of the best RPG available for Nintendo system. After Zelda, this surely takes the second place in RPG. This game has some performance issues in handheld mode but nothing major. Now the negative is out of the door, positives kicks in: This game looks above average. Great soundtrack. For newcomers, combat takes time to adjust but once it is done, it's fun. Story is very good. A must buy for XC lovers as well as RPG gamer.

I felt that the game held an enjoyable story line. The game goes very in-depth about the characters and their backstories, giving the player a more personal experience. The graphics are unlike others I've seen, it's easy to be compared to a television show, or animated film because of the great quality. I feel that it's incredibly creative that the player and the cities live on a monstrous beast called a titan, it adds a special element to the game.

If there is even a doubt about how good the Switch has been year one, just pick up Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Nintendo's final BIG game of 2017. It compliments the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild's more Western influenced open world with one that fans of Japanese designed open worlds will love equally as much. The art style is gorgeous, combat is satisfying, there's a ton of content (get ready for more than 100 hours) and it's impeccably designed.

So I had no idea what this game was, other than a JRPG. I'd compare this to like early Final Fantasy games. You won't be impressed by the graphics, but this ends up working out as the world is SUPER vast and load screens/fast travels are super fast. It's like it's own little movie, so be prepared to watch numerous short and long cutscenes (there are PLENTY). There is a lot to learn about gameplay, and a lot of learning at the beginning, but it all plays a part in success. I'm easily 50 hours into this game and am probably halfway (not focusing mainly on storyline). Great game if you appreciate these kind of games.

Although Zelda and Mario was a big reason as to why I bought a Nintendo Switch, the release of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 sealed the deal for me. I was waiting until a solid RPG would be out for the system so I have something to sink my time into after the inevitable completion of Zelda and Mario. It’s been great so far. Story is keeping my attention, as well as the combat mechanics and there is much to do. Btw Nier: Automata is GOTY

This game has awesome cutscenes and a great world, the fight seems to be a little simplistic so far but I am immersed!

This is now the 3rd game in this excellent JRPG series. The plot and such are all new so playing the previous games is not required to know whats going on here. The combat system is greatly improved and simplified. The story is strong and the game eases you into the many systems so its not overwhelming. All in all a great entry and it took till year 3 to get Xeno on WiiU so awesome we get it on Switch in year one..

It's like... a good game bruh. It gets a lil asian in between there but that's okay, that's culture. The game plays great, feels great, runs great, it's just great If you are like... man.. I don't like like good games that are rpgs and have asians in them, this isn't for you. But if you are like, yes, I wanna be a dude that plays good games that are rpgs and have asians in them... then this is it my friend.

My cousin told me he loved this game. I didn’t believe him and brought it. Now I have no life besides playing this game. Seriously this series is the best and the English and Japanese voices are both amazing. I switch between audios because they are done so well! The story is engaging and compelling. Must have for any Switch owner.
