This is in My Opinion the best in the Xenoblade series. They’ve refined everything the graphics are beautiful, the combat is so much more fluid the XC2, and the story is the best I’ve experienced since god of war(not that long but GoW was fantastic). If you have a switch and aren’t playing this you are doing yourself a disservice.

You can play Torna having never played any other Xenoblade game. Although it definitely enhances the experience, with 40 hours of gameplay and an improved battle system this is arguably the best the franchise has offered. Compelling characters and a decent amount of sidequests to keep you interested until the credits roll.

While I strongly disliked the main Xenoblade 2 game, Torna: The Golden Country fixes most of its problems to deliver a gripping story along with fantastic and streamlined gameplay elements. While it doesn't compare to the masterpiece of the first Xenoblade game, it's still a fun time for any JRPG lover.

I like collecting physical copies so i opted for this instead of digital. You get the season pass included with it for the main game. Its much shorter than the main game but just if not more sweet. Good story and combat feels even better.

Great game. It won't need Xenoblade 2 to play but make sure play Xenoblade 2 first because it will spoil the main game. It has great story and reasonable playing time (about 25~35 hours) but not as much as Xenoblade 2 (180 hours)

Great continuation of xenoblade chronicles 2, which was a great RPG though not without some flaws. I really enjoyed the game, and think it's the best in the xeno-series since at least the ps1 days, so I'm glad they added more content.

This game is amazing. It's a great RPG just like the original Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The story takes place before the events it Xenoblade Chronicles 2. And just like that game, the story, characters and combat are awesome.

XC2 was an amazing game. Not too far into this game but the combat is just as fun and enjoying the story that took place before the main game. It is a stand-alone game so having the XC2 is not necessary!

The gameplay has been fleshed out in comparison to previous enteries. It is a very memorable story with relateable characters, whose actions frequently flip between events ranging from hilarious to tear jerking.

The way Nintendo released this is a little confusing but it's well wroth the price. You essentially get the 5th expansion dlc as a standalone game on a cartridge. This is a prequel to the main story in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 which you don't need to have if you buy this version. You also get the first 4 expansion packs for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 so you really should have or plan to get the regular game as well if you plan on buying this. I love that Nintendo made a physical cartridge for this dlc pack since it only costs a few bucks more than a digital version if you have the GCU.

XBC2 is tons of fun. This is more of a stand alone than an expansion. Fun game. Mechanics can be difficult at first but gets easier as you play it. Great story line.

You get the $20 season pass included with all the extra content plus a 30+ hour prequel game that has the battle system streamlined. You dont need to own the original to play this either.

This is more than just extra DLC. This is practically a whole second game to add to the awesomeness that was Xenoblade Chronicles 2! Must own for anyone who enjoyed the main game.

Torna is a good value for base XC2 players both in terms of the packaged DLC pass code and the Torna expansion itself. Good gameplay, music, and characters round it out.

Torna ~ The Golden Country manages to offer both a similar and distinct experience to Xenoblade Chronicles 2 at the same time. The prequel builds superbly on the main game’s lore, providing a fantastic experience for fans just looking to see more of the world. Meanwhile, those looking for a more mature story and cast will absolutely get on board with Lora, Jin, Addam, and the rest of the crew. It’s almost a shame that the time we get to spend with them is so short in comparison. Monolith Soft has created another excellent experience for Switch owners to get stuck into.

Torna is a prequel story to XC2. This package includes the season pass and Torna as a standalone cart. Definitely worth playing for fans of Xenoblade.

Xenoblade Chroniclas 2 - Torna is a fantastic prequel, the main story takes about 15 or so hours to complete at a normal pace. And there's plenty of side content to 100% adding up to 50 or so hours. Aside from the story which is fantastic and better paced/written than the original, the combat system in this game is completely revamped with clever mechanics that makes combat the best in the series. Of course the polish is great but the game lacks the meat of the original. What is there might be little but is of exceptional quality.

I'm really enjoying this prequel chapter to Xenoblade 2. You don't need to own or play the first to enjoy it (though it does help add some context to some characters) which is great for those who can't or don't really want to invest 60 hours+ on the first title. For those who have played the first game, the battle system is similar but changed up to give a new feel and keep it interesting. Seeing the world 500 years before the events of the first game is also pretty neat as its not just a copy paste of the map but reworked/remixed for this game.
