I loved playing this on 3DS, but my battery stopped keeping a charge. So I've never finished it. Now that it's on the Switch I have another chance to finish it. The story is awesome, the landscapes are beautifully done, and it's just a fun yet challenging game. I usually play handheld mode. I find the graphics to be decently done. They may look better on a tv. You just have to keep in mind that you are playing on a tiny screen on a tiny machine that doesn't have a giant hardwired server hosting the game.

a lot of the graphical engine and style of the game has been drastically overhauled, and it's very welcome. Trying to play the original wii version on an hd tv was a muddy brown mess- there's cell shading and a much clearer fidelity to the game. It's of course still a classic, just plays much better with a traditional control scheme instead of the nunchuk setup. Absolutely worth it especially for newcomers!

Bought this as a birthday present. All my kids are playing it. Game graphics are fine and my kids really enjoy the rpg story.

I played Xenogears, Xenosaga etc. this over the years. This is one of the better games, great combat, and visuals.

Shulk and company are back on the Switch. Great gameplay, story, and memorable characters make this RPG a must own.

This is the best way to play Xenoblade Chronicles. The original on the Wii didn't do the best job when it came to managing the hundreds of side quests you had to do and this remake solves that, along with many other quality of life improvements. If you are looking for one of the best rpg's to play on your Switch, then Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is a must buy!

Looks like it could be really good, but I kind of lost interest after the opening fighting. I'll still give it a chance and play through it. Looks beautiful and the music is nice, the characters faces are punchable and forgettable though.

Xenoblade chronicles is one of the best games out. An immense world to play in and a great storyline.

Xenoblade Chronicles is one of the best JRPG's of the last decade, and the definitive edition really improves the originals weakest point, its graphics. I tried playing the original Wii version on my Wii U and just could never get past the ugly character models. With the remastered edition I had no such issue and I'm so glad I finally got to play through the game and enjoy it to its fullest. If you are a fan of huge open worlds or JRPG's, I highly recommend this game

Played the game on wii many years ago. This remaster isn't perfect but is a vast improvement over the original.

Looks great and includes extra content! Plus, it's probably cheaper than the original Wii version.

I never played this when it was on the Wii so I decided to pick it up for the Switch. While some of the monster models have less details vs. a more recent game such as Xenoblade 2 the graphics are still quite good. The scale of the game is massive and the gameplay despite being 10 yrs old fits right in with the games today. Finally got around to playing it and 30 hrs in it has me hooked. I would recommend this to anyone who loves RPGs.
