Got it on a good sale, and it was worth it. It is a remaster basically, with a little more and it looks way better than the original did. Glad i got this instead of trying to buy an old copy of the now overpriced vanilla version that only scalpers on ebay will have i'm sure. Buy this, it's called definitive edition for a reason. there's new content, better visuals, etc.

An EXCELLENT remaster of the original Xenoblade Chronicles that was on Nintendo Wii. Great soundtrack, great environments, great story. If you do not already know, the brilliant mind of XB Chronicles on Wii/Switch was largely responsible for Xenogears on PlayStation in 1998 (and the subsequent Xenosaga titles on PS2). I see Best Buy has it on sale right. GET IT!

After seeing the main character in smash bros I wanted to see what the game he came from is like. it’s not bad but it definitely feels like an old style game, the UI is a bit clunky during combat and not being able to use items in battles is a bit odd for a jrpg. Other then that though the models are a huge improvement from the N3ds and the voice acting is great as always I’ve played about 5 hours of it on the first day I got it home and didn’t realize how fast that flew Can’t wait to play the second one and possibly third

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition is the best version of one of the best JRPGs of all time. The game is remade from the ground up with newer models along with its soundtrack. A lovable cast of characters part of a grand story with numerous twists that make you dying to play. With over hundreds of hours of gameplay, the game is more than worth your $60.

I put hundreds of hours into the original Xenoblade Chronicles, it's one of my favorite games of all time, if not my favorite overall. The story is amazing, the gameplay and party system offer good replay-ability, the environments are deeply engaging and beautiful to explore. This game is an epic journey that I would highly recommend you see for yourself.

Xenoblade is one of the finest JRPGs ever made. Well written likeable characters compliment a finely crafted story that subverts expectations. Deep RPG systems and character progression make you feel like you're always accomplishing something. The combat is engaging and challenging, and every character brings something unique to the table.

I’ve never had the chance to play Xenoblade on the Wii or 3DS. So I was super happy to find out it was getting a remaster for the Switch. The gameplay, story and characters are all engaging and satisfying. I highly recommend this game. If I had to pick a downside it would be the side quest. Other than that it’s such a great game.

This is probably my favorite switch game that I currently own. Its a fun adventure and a typical JRPG. easily 100+ game for your $60. the visuals are amazing and the mystery is the story is compelling. Would buy this again since I own the 3DS version of the game.

A massive game, vast in both the size of the world and depth of characters. The graphics are gorgeous, the dialog is smooth. There is a steep learning curve early in the same and the controls take a little time to learn, but this is a fantastic and beautiful game, akin to Breath of the Wild.

Awesome RPG game for the switch. Great value as well

This is one of the best JRPG there is to date. The Xenoblade series is worth getting into as a RPG fan in general. Lots to explorer with awesome locals to visits and a gripping story makes this one a must have.

I want to start out and say if you are a jrpg fan, you owe it to yourself to play and finish this game even if it takes 100+hrs. You will not regret this 10/10 masterpiece! By the way, this version of the game has a new face to the world and extras that arent in the older 3ds or Wii versions.

This is a great and fun JRPG! Plenty of hours spent

The story is engrossing, although the cut scenes drag on way too long at times and interrupt the flow of the gameplay. There are an overwhelming number of options for character control, armor, weapons, and upgrades that makes it hard to recommend for causal gamers like I am. The side quests are fun, but there are hundreds and hundreds of them, which must be completed to level up. I play it on a switch lite and the graphics, scenery, and music are up to par. I’d recommend only to serious fans of JRPGs who have endless hours to fully enjoy all the game has to offer.

I've owned Xenoblade Chronicles in its original Wii release, 3DS release, and now Switch release and all I can really say is that this is a fantastic JRPG and is at its greatest in this Definitive Edition with great new graphics, quality of life changes, and remastered soundtrack.

I never played the original but so far love this remake! The graphics and details are beautiful. The story is enticing! The fighting mechanics might seem overwhelming at first but is fairly easy to understand once you get the hang of it. So far don’t have any complaints with the game.

I played this on the "New" 3DS years ago upon release and it quickly climbed the ranks in my Top 10 games ever played by me. If you're into JRPG, but with a fresh take on turn based combat, this game is for you. Additionally, if you're just into good stories, BUY THIS GAME.

Are you feeling it? It's one of the best RPG's ever! Packed with lush graphics, fun gameplay and one of the best stories ever told - Xenoblade is a classic through and through. It also has one of the best soundtracks. This is not a game to be missed.
