Aside from the resolution issues and age of the combat itself compared to xenoblade 2, the game is still the best in the series and has more than enough content and is the best version. If you cant experience it on switch, please dont play it on 3DS, play it on Wii/Wii U.

This remastered version of Xenoblade Chronicles is a great game for any RPG enthusiast looking for a game that will yield over 100 hours of gameplay. The extra story added in the Definitive Edition is just that little extra step they took to make this game even greater!

Never played the series and immediately fell in love. Hours of gameplay and sucks you in!

I came to this series late. XC2 was my first taste of the Xeno games, and I loved it. Since I never played it on Wii or 3DS, I was excited to play it on the Switch wherever I am. The attack system is not unlike XC2, in that your character auto-attacks to build up the gauges to be able to unleash weapon Arts. A simplified version of the driver combo (break > topple > daze) also is here, allowing for higher critical damage during fights. The environments in this game are absolutely breathtaking. Shooting stars at night on the Eryth Sea, and the rainbow over the Great Makna Falls are some of the most beautiful scenes I've come across in video games. The story has plenty of twists and turns, and has been entertaining, though without much of the humor that I loved in XC2. While 2 may be my favorite of the 2 games I've played in this series, I'm really glad I picked this up to see the evolution of the series.

Great remake of a classic Wii game. Easy to spend hundreds of hours on this one.

So far so good. Looks great (for a switch game). Good story, good voice acting. Combat is fun and challenging.

This game is what revived the Xeno series on modern consoles. The story, the music, the battle system, everything here just works. You will be hooked within the first 2 hours of this game and enjoy the sprawling epic adventure upon the Bionis.

This is by far my favorite game that has come out this year! The graphics, storyline, and gameplay are out of this world. You also definitely get your money's worth as well for this game is jam packed with content that will keep you busy for days or weeks.

I put over 70hrs in the original and never finished the game. This edition makes so many of the quests and battle mechanics even better. I like the new improved visuals as well as the same great music. I would definitely suggest this to any fan of rpgs.

Good ole Xenoblade, remastered in HD textures and out, good game buy it

I just finished this game with 60 hours of gameplay and I RUSHED through it (backlogs crazy) anyway, you can easily get 100 hours out of this. The story is fantastic and gameplay is great once you get get the hang of it.

Not only does it deliver engaging gameplay, but the story it tells is one of the best I've seen. Plus, the updates they made from the original make the experience all the more streamlined. A must-play for sure!

Monolith made a lot of really great quality of life updates to this game for the definitive edition that are really great. Particularly with the fetch quests and other side quests (of which there are a lot!), the game is way easier to play over the original. Also the HD graphics are a real improvement over the Wii version.

Great game, Surprisingly very easy to get into and easy to follow. It’s everything one could ask for in a remaster. Beautiful music and visuals and side quests will keep you busy. There’s about 100+ hours of content here

This is an amazing remaster of one of the most epic JRPGs ever! Definitely the best soundtrack ever in a game is even better now with the new recordings! There is so much to do in this game. Hundreds of hours of fun!

Truly the best way to play Xenoblade Chronicles, visually and mechanically. While the game's core structure is exactly as it was on the Wii and New 3DS, the updated graphics present the world and character designs all the better on the Switch. There's also an easier difficulty option to lessen the grind of battles so casual players/newcomers can enjoy the story mostly stress-free. Along with a totally new epilogue story, there's not much else I can ask for in this amazing remake of an RPG.

I am as so excited to know that this game and as going to be coming to the switch. It's such a beautifully made game. From the storyline to the different enemies and beautiful landscapes, everything about this game is amazing!

Good place to start if you want to experience the xenoblade series from the start.

This was probably my favorite game over the last decade. The gameplay may not be to everyone's taste, but the story is amazing! Glad they did this game justice and upgraded the graphics as well. Don't miss out on this gem.
