This is a beautiful game with a massive world and a ton of depth to the gameplay.

As far as open world sci-fi games go, this has to be amongst the greatest. I have played and enjoyed games like Skyrim and Fallout 3, but this has them both beat. You get to explore an alien planet, run with or fight its gargantuan wildlife, and you eventually get to pilot an insanely cool mech. What's NOT to like?

This is my first time playing a Xenoblades game, so there has been a learning curve with the fighting system, but it is very well done. I have played a lot of RPG games, but like this active combat system over a turn based system. This game also allows off-tv screen playing, so which is a great addition for me.

My son enjoys playing the game. Hasn't stopped since he got it for Christmas.

Wii U doesn't really have rpg games, so nice to see it finally get a good one

Gigantic world map with plenty of side missions and great main storyline. Well over 100+ hours in this game. The online portion also adds a twist to the game that adds to the gameplay. I recommend this game to anyone who love a long, compelling RPG with a online mode that adds to the overall experience.

If you are a fan of the Xeneblade series, this entry doesn't disappoint!

Wow I can't believe the size of this game! It's huge! You can play for 200 hours and still have things to do! This is the BEST RPG period for Wii U! But for best experience you must have a external storage as you need to download the rest of the game from the eShop(it's extra graphic data so you won't miss nothing without it but have slower load times and stuff will take longer to appear on the screen without it). It runs fine without the extra data but with it speeds up the game a lot and also makes the game look a lot better. I didn't know about this at first so make sure to get the 5 downloads that are Free from the Nintendo eshop for this game.

The open world concept for this game works very well. Exploration is a blast and there are plenty of hidden areas to find. The scenery is also gorgeous. Characters in the game seem quite wooden, and there is a plot based reason for this that you discover later in the game, but voice acting and lack of expression can be a bit unnerving up until then. The plot twists are great and really remind you that you are playing a Xenoblade game, but most of the story until you reach them is quite shallow hammering in the idea that humanity is just trying to survive on a new and seemingly dangerous planet. Stick with this game, it is satisfying in the end and has a lot to explore. The only real downsides are the personalities of the cast, and lack of deep plot in the first three quarters of the game.
