This game has been out for 2 and a half days, and I've already put 37 hours of game time in. Stunning visuals, fast paced combat, a huge world to explore, various ways to play. Keep in mind, this isn't an open world RPG where everything is dependent on "skill shots"(like Skyrim or Fallout). If you've played the first Xenoblade Chronicles you already know what to expect, if you've played Final Fantasy 12, it's similar to that(but way better in my opinion). If you don't have a Wii U, and you like huge open worlds with lots to do, and mechs, get one and get this game.

the game is ok. a little slow starting off. i really just wish it supported multiple players. oh well.

Poor graphics and slow gameplay! Not what I expected from previous reviews

First I will get this out of the way. If you only like games with great graphics and sound this isnt for you. The scenic views in this can be great, but the rest of the graphics are pretty bad. Looks like PS2 graphics, only rendered a little better. The sound is average at best and the music is just awful. Some people speak others just have text bubbles to read. If youre an RPG fan that wont bother you. When speaking the words do not match up with the lip movement. Petty complaints. Now, if youve played Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii or 3DS you will be used to the gameplay right off the bat. Same battle controls and same way to find items where you just go pick up these little markers on screen. If you have not played XB on Wii or 3DS you should probably just go play that since it is a better game, IMO. As far as I am in the game I enjoy the story and the gameplay. A lot of reviews I have read say it gets boring later on but I have not hit that point. Fact is, this is the only real RPG on the Wii U that I can think of, so if you enjoy the genre you will want to buy this game.

This game is fantastic. The story is interesting, I enjoyed the music, the graphics, for a Wii U game, are very impressive and the game play was fun and kept me coming back for more. Definitely a must own for those who have a Wii U!

This is one finely crafted RPG. The world is huge, the graphics are beautiful, the combat is satisfying, the loot is plentiful, the soundtrack is diverse and incredible, etc. Buy this game.

A mesmerizing epic and a masterpiece in world building on the grandest of scales. I gave it a 10 because it does some things so spectacularly well (combat, world/environment, depth, fun), despite many smaller flaws (time text size, tedious submenus, lots of things not explained well, subpar close-up graphics, and a lot of reading). Despite any flaw, I played it happily for over 100 hours and enjoyed it immensely!

Are you an RPG fan on the fence about a Wii U purchase? Well this game is going to change your mind for sure! The size of the world, the sense of accomplishment & scale. Yes, it throws you in the deep end early with its perhaps needlessly complex systems, but they're there & you need to deal with it because mastering them just makes the game so satisfying. And then you get a giant robot.

This is a game that can take hundreds of hours of your time. It's a JRPG for the hardcore fan where you create your character and take him or her through an epic Science Fiction saga, leveling up your skills and abilities to be able to get to the next stage and the next upgrades. It has an interesting story as well, but be aware it takes a lot of grinding. The type of game that can take over all your free time if you let it.

Even if you haven't had the chance to play the wonderful Xenoblade Chronicles, no need to worry. You can still pick this game up without worrying about ruining the plot. With that said, this amazing entry to the series manages to improve on an already great system, making it a must-buy for jrpg fans.

This game is amazing. Truly an epic game that the Wii U was lacking. An easy 100 hour game. Pushes the system to its limits and is solid. Great graphics, voice acting, and can't recommend enough. If you own a Wii U get this game, and if you don't have a Wii U your missing out.

Ordered the Special Edition of this incredibly massive game, and I've already sunk over 30 hours into it! It's well worth it to buy this game if you have a Wii U, as there is so much to do in regards to exploring, completing missions and expanding the FrontierNav. It's amazing how much content is packed into the game, that it almost feels like a steal for the price. Most of the time spent has been solely in exploring and side quests, and it's no wonder that there is still so much to do in this game! Only completed chapter 7 of the story so far, but there is no reason to rush it as you can take the game at your own pace without much issue. Definitely loving it and would recommend anyone who has even the slightest itch to pick this game up to go ahead and buy it.

If every other Wii U game had disappointed me- this one game alone would have been reason enough for me to be happy with purchasing the Wii U. I am new to the Xenoblade series and purchased this on a whim- a little turned off initially from the cheesy anime characters and silly dialogue but as I played more the graphics, mechanics, and vast world had me playing until the wee hours of the night. Easily the best game I have played for Wii U, and in my opinion the best game of 2015.

I was new to Xenoblade and went into this game blind. This is the most immersive game I've played since Skyrim! This game has a lot to offer with it's beautiful, massive world.

This game is amazing. Cheesy metal soundtrack, wonderful combat system, and the largest game world Ive ever seen. Ive played for about 10 hours and have only seen 10% of 1/5 of the continents. If you dont enjoy grinding then this is not the game for you. I believe its a must have for any wiiU owner that enjoys action/RPGs. The leveling and skills upgrading can be confusing. Read the manual, it helps. Monolith Soft and nintendo made a gem of a game here. Its so good that it may even sway some people to join the dark side and purchase a wiiU. I now play my wiiU more than xbox one because i can play this game off-tv. simply amazing

It's fun but dang there's so much to keep track of. Very complicated game with lots of intricate, interrelated systems and things to keep track of. If that sounds like your cup of tea, you'll love it.

If you've play Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii and enjoyed it, then you'll love this one! So much content to keep you busy and a class/skill system to freshen things up if they start to feel dull. Also, 5 stars for Best Buy's customer service! The game got damaged during shipment. Thought it was just the box, but the disc would play (even though it didn't appear to have scratches). I took it in store to get it replaced. I was prepared to tell the whole story because, like I said, the disc had no physical damage. They replaced it! No questions asked! Thank you!

Wonderful experience with endless amount of things to do. The game is one of the best looking on the system and has fun yet deep gameplay mechanics

I am not even halfway through this game and it keeps me coming back for more. So much to do and a deep story to go along with it! The hype is real!

This game is amazing! Gigantic open world, great sci-fi story, and really cool combat. The planet Mira is tons of fun to run around and explore and there's always something new to find. The characters are also quite well done, even though there's some characters you think may be typical anime tropes it never takes them off the deep end. Highly recommend.
