I must admit that I haven't made it far enough into this game to give a complete review. Combat is a real time/turn based hybrid similar to more recent final fantasy games, so don't come expecting an action shooter. The graphics are above average (for Wii U), but, like most RPG's, it takes many hours to get into. If you like RPG's and Final Fantasy, you will probably like this. If not, it probably won't change your mind.

It saddens me that in 2015 we can't create a game that even compares to the original Xenogears. This game suffers from horrible controls, boring combat mechanics, and MMO like quest depth. It's gorgeous, but utterly boring.

This game is amazing. Massive world and addictive game play.

If you're not in this one for the long haul, stay away. Xenoblade Chronicles X moves slowly and methodically, asking players to accquaint themselves with the various regions in the world of Mira, an arduous task considering the massive size of the game. That being said, it's been losing myself in this world and its seemingly unending landscapes that have made the 40+ hours I've spent playing the game a true joy.

Wii u has very little to offer but this one stands out if you are an RPG fan. The game is massive and beautiful. It can't compete graphically with the other systems but it's still looks great. It is a shame it wasn't on the PS4 though. If you are a fan of JRPG and mecha, then this is the game for you. It has all the typical traits.

It's a great game. Pretty easy to pick up. It has a unique story line and fun gameplay.

I never played Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii so I did a lot of research to find that you didn't need to in order to play this game. Once I knew that I knew I had to buy this game due to all of the rave reviews I've read on it. The game has great graphics and I regularly just stare in awe at the vast and beautiful world they made for the game. It's been a while since I've played a JRPG and this one very much meets and exceeds my expectations. The story seems great so far and the gameplay is very fun. My only gripe is that it does a poor job of explaining combat and other functions to you but instead there is a game manual built in that you have to read in order to fully understand the complicated mechanics.

Awesome graphics for Wii U. A big world to explore

I loved playing Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii and I was wondering how they were going to make a second game better than the first; this game has surpassed all of my expectations. It's such a magnificent game and it is played so well. And I haven't even gotten the skells yet! I can't wait to get to the mechs!

A must have for RPG fans and Wii U owners. Much like the previous game in the series, this game sets a standard that many current jrpgs fail to meet. Great gameplay and customization. The mech building alone is a great system, and to that all the other wonderful gameplay elements and you have a winner.

Another xenoblade game and it leaves me satisfied for story and gameplay.

Great game and great series this game does not disappoint! If you have played the series since PsOne then you must pick this up! Even if your a regular Wii U owner you should try it! I had fun still playing it and it is a long game! If you have time and love rpg with mechs then this is worth your $$$$!

I love RPG's this game delvers on every front of the word, from a vast open world to huge engaged fights with impossible odds this has it. From the time you leave your ship you are greeted with a lush fully detailed living world of colors and a if you see it you can climb it sense of freedom.

I have never played a Xenoblade game before Xenoblade Chronicles X. This game has exceeded all of my expectations. The gameplay, story, and expansive world have been keeping my attention with ease. I've already put 20 hours into this game and I feel like I have only scratched the surface!

While it does a poor job of explaining the game mechanics (Google is your friend with this game early on), I can't help but be amazed at what the WiiU is capable of. The combat is fun, addicting, and deep, with a great class system. This is for my money, GotY for Nintendo, a must Buy.

This game was packed with so much content that I still haven't finished it yet! It looks great and although it takes time to get used to everything, it pays off. Make sure you adjust your screen aspect large enough to read the font or you'll have a hard time understanding things.

There are a lot of things to do. Many quests of different types are available. Not quite as strong in the story line as the previous Xenoblade Chronicles, however the over all premise is good. Deep battle system that evolves the farther you get into the game. Pilot your own giant Skell mech if you have the patience to get one, its worth it.

Great story, fun gameplay. Lots of value for your money.

This game is not a direct sequel to xenoblade chronicles, but it is a spiritual successor. This game does an amazing job immersing you into an enormous world, and really makes you feel like one soldier out of a huge workforce comprised of every other player.

I was on the fence about purchasing this game for the Wii U. I didn't think an open world game would be that great on a system so lacking compared to other next gen consoles. I was sorely mistaken. This game is loads of fun and can be enjoyed by all ages.
