Great card brought some life back to my old system when I couldnt afford to upgrade more things. It has run everything ive thrown at it quite decently. Don’t expect an incredible graphical performance or to run the latest AAA titles at 4k. Keep your expectations metered and this card is great for the price!

The RX 580 8GB is a fantastic graphics card that offers excellent performance and value for gamers and content creators. With its 8GB of GDDR5 memory, it provides ample video memory for gaming at 1080p and even handles 1440p gaming quite well. The card's performance in modern games is impressive, delivering smooth and immersive experiences.

Great video card the first one I got flickered even when trying different drivers, the second one I received came in a cruddy package it was all crushed and beat up but the card was ok and worked fine once I installed drivers, on timespy the 3dmark benchmark test it goes up to 60ish frames per second. Great card but if you want that little extra performance I would get the black edition . In my case I'm not worried about seeing the enemy around the corner a hundredth of a millisecond before them.

What you see is what you get with this card, and what I saw was an affordable replacement and upgrade for a Nvidia 1060. Card works perfectly, although I do typically prefer nvidia, AMD has continued to provide updates and driver support for their cards years down the line.

I needed something to drive a monitor on a Linux machine with no integrated CPU graphics. I don't want anything fancy, and this card did great. It puts pixels on the screen quietly. I like the variety of output types. I only want one monitor, but having flexibility on what interface it uses is helpful. It supports my full 2560x1440 monitor over HDMI. During my normal usage (including full-screen opengl with lots of triangles, and full-screen video) the fans stay at their baseline speed, and are virtually silent. I've only heard the fans spin up a few times during boot. They're not too loud at full speed, but definitely noticeable. At their baseline speed, I can't hear the fans (or any other fans in my computer, I've put effort into making it quiet). Linux support is great. All I had to do was install the firmware package (under Debian) and change XFCE's vblank mode to glx to fix some rendering artifacts with this command: "xfconf-query -c xfwm4 -p /general/vblank_mode -s glx". It switches resolutions early in boot (before LUKS password entry), which is nice. It also reports temperature, fan speed, and current power usage via the standard interfaces.
