Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the AMD Radeon RX 590 Fatboy OC+ 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card's performance and its affordability, citing excellent graphics capabilities for the price. However, some users noted that the card can run warm and be somewhat loud during intensive use, and it may require a more powerful power supply. The card's large size was also mentioned as a potential drawback. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and price seems to outweigh the concerns regarding temperature, noise, and size for many buyers.

Constant crashes with a "display not detected" and "direct x 11000002". Will be buying Nvidia. This has been an ongoing issue for AMD cards for sometime with no fix. This happens on virtually and 3d program. May just reinstall my old nvidia 750ti. I have always been a HUGE AMD fan which is why I was soooooo let down when the TWO video cards I purchased had manufacture issues. I run 7 fans in my rig and these video cards would not stop shutting down due to the internal fans within the video card not functioning properly. Here's the kicker, I bought them from two different best buy locations so not sure if it being a bad batch is applicable here.

Prone to overheating. Better options at same price point. Took me forever to find a solution to constant crashes, turns out it has a DIP switch to change BIOS into performance mode which ramps up the fan performance. Even with that, I have to scale back some of my game settings. This card should play everything on Ultra at 1080p with decent framerates, but falls well short.

I got this rx590 and i knew i might be disappointed since I already have the RX480 in one of my rigs. I thought a 20% bump from the rx480 would improved. I'll return this card and wait 60 days for the release of navi.

Runs hot and performance is lackluster. Would likely be better off just getting a 580.

Bought it roughly 4 months ago and it won't work anymore. every time I try and run game screen goes black and says no signal tried a different graphics card and it had no problem starting up games which makes me certain it is in fact the graphics card.

    Found the sweet spot

I went into this purchase thinking I'd be playing every game at 1080p, but of course I had to fiddle around a bit. I found that at least in the games I play, if I disable or lower the bells and whistles, it will hold a playable frame rate at 4k (3840 x 2160) between 50-60 FPS with some dips below that during very heavy action, but nothing unsettling. To do this I had to make sure those games were set to Fullscreen mode. When windowed, performance dropped substantially. Now, granted my experience is not going to hold true for every game or every PC setup, but it's worked for me. As with everything PC related, you have to find what works best for your situation. Anyway, if you want a highly capable mid-range GPU then this is a great one to look at, and I'm more than pleased with it. You get a lot more bang for your buck here than with those cards that are $1,000 more, and I sadly speak from first hand experience. Those extra effects are not worth $1,000. After this, I'll never go top end again.

    Good upgrade

I have been upgrading my PC bit by bit to make it better for 4K video editing and this card made a tremendous difference! I had a R9 270 before this and even with 32 gig of ram and an 8 core 4.2mhz processor, video was struggling. Not only did this card smooth that out but the actual quality (color/image quality) on the monitor improved. I should've tried this card before all the other upgrades! One word of caution, this card NEEDS a 550 watt or better power supply and an 8-pin power connector. The fan on this is silent until it gets really working in a game or other graphics intensive program but setting up a "manual" fan speed slope makes a difference.
