Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the Speedster MERC310's performance and the large amount of VRAM, finding it offers great value for the price. While some users note the card's large size may be incompatible with smaller PC cases, and that ray tracing performance is not as strong as competing products, many appreciate its generally cool and quiet operation. The build quality is also frequently praised.

A solid upgrade for anybody that wants raw FPS per dollar over ray tracing. Not great for content creation but it’ll get the job done.

Great value so far. Had some issues swapping from Nvidia to amd, just had to run a program to remove Nvidia drivers. Some unexpected stutters while shooting in tarkov, but no issues with any other game so far.

Powerful card, even with the 20gb vRAM, in hindsight would recommend a 4070 ti over this due to Nvidia’s software being better. AMD is pretty good if you don’t mind tinkering a bit in Bios and their software though.

I recently picked up the XFX Speedster MERC310 RX 7900XT and it has absolutely exceeded my expectations. This card is a monster in terms of performance, design, and value, especially when compared to some of the higher-priced competition. Performance: The RX 7900XT absolutely crushes modern titles at 1440p ultra settings and handles 4K very well in most AAA games. Whether I'm playing Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Duty: MWIII, or Baldur’s Gate 3, the frame rates are buttery smooth with ray tracing enabled and FSR 2.0/3.0 support. The 20GB of VRAM makes it future-proof for demanding textures and upcoming titles. It’s also a fantastic card for creators who need strong GPU acceleration. Cooling & Noise: XFX nailed the cooling on the MERC310. The triple-fan design keeps the temps low and the noise levels even lower. Even under extended load, the fans are barely audible, and the card maintains excellent thermal performance without throttling. It’s one of the coolest and quietest cards I’ve used. Build Quality & Design: The all-black aesthetic looks sleek and premium. It’s a large card, so make sure your case has room, but the build feels rock-solid. The metal backplate and subtle branding give it a clean, professional look that fits in well with both RGB-heavy and minimalist builds. Value: For the price, the RX 7900XT offers a fantastic balance of performance and future readiness. It’s a strong alternative to higher-priced NVIDIA cards, especially for those who don’t need DLSS but want incredible raster performance and generous VRAM. Pros: Excellent 1440p and capable 4K performance 20GB VRAM is perfect for modern and future games Silent and efficient cooling system Clean and premium design Great price-to-performance ratio Cons: Large size may not fit in smaller cases Ray tracing performance is good, but still behind NVIDIA's best Final Verdict: The XFX Speedster MERC310 RX 7900XT is a high-end GPU that delivers outstanding performance, superior cooling, and premium aesthetics. If you're building or upgrading a gaming rig for high-res gaming without breaking the bank, this is a top-tier choice. Solid 5/5. Would definitely buy again.

Powerful, but HUGE card. Perfect for 1440p gaming.

Was debating between this or a 4070ti, this one was about $100 cheaper and has better specs in nearly all areas except ray-tracing. At 1440p, games like Dead Space (remaster) and MW3 are running at about 110 - 130 FPS at max quality settings. Using AMD's FSR or other fancy features can boost those numbers, but I usually game at native resolution. Does not get too hot under load. At the full 340-watt power draw, it maxes out at 68 degrees Celsius, which is pretty good. Fans may drone a little bit. One note, it is BIG. With the recommended support brace, I barely had enough room in my large case. Not for small builds.

Between this card or a 4070 Super. I am buying this card 100% of the time. A number of my games consistently go past 16 GB of VRAM which causes noticeable frame stutters on a 4070 Super. With my now 20 GB of VRAM this is no longer an issue. There are no games I currently run at 4K (without Ray Tracing) when my GPU is the bottle neck. The AMD Radeon Recording also works amazing well with the new AV1 encoder, and frankly in my opinion looks better than Shadow Play captures at the same bitrate. Though I can't seem to get the same quality at the same bitrate in OBS. So I win and a loss. AMD adding Ray Tracing is a nice touch. Played a bit of SpiderMan Miles Morales in 4K with Ray Tracing Maxed out and the card did struggle quite a bit in out door areas, specifically areas with complex geometry, such as the naked winter trees. Swinging by a park would tank my FPS with setup. In indoor scenes I had a solid 30 fps. Which I found to be playable. Ray Tracing medium is a smooth 60 FPS at 4K but frankly having it Ray Tracing Off would be a better experience. While Ray Tracing isn't great, it is nice to toggle on every now and then and see a "realistic" lighting scenario in games. It is really cool to see realistic refections in water and window glass. Especially in Christmas scenes in the Spiderman Game. My jaw dropped at how beautiful the scene was with all settings on and maxed out. FSR works... it definitely smooths out the frame rate, coming from my 2070 Super, I would say current FSR is equivalent to DLSS 2. Which is quite impressive they are matching the newer Nvidia Hardware so closely, just a generation or two behind. ROCM exists. It is a pain to setup on Windows 11, but I was able to do some Machine Vision and Machine Learning on the GPU. I was also able to get DeepSeek R1 running via Ollama, natively on my personal computer. So this card over all is extremely viable. I think in one or maybe two more serious GPU generations AMD will have fully caught up in terms of consumer hardware.

Hands down the best 1440p card on the market

I would like to preface this review with one thing. I was originally the recipient of this card from Best buy. somebody returned the card and I bought it not knowing it was returned at first and it didn't work. Best buy immediately corrected the problem and I'm happy with the purchase. also XFX is my favorite card manufacturer I've been using them since they still made Nvidia cards. ... so where do I begin, I have a second system that was originally rocking a 3050 that sometimes my grandkids would play on. they took an interest in Microsoft flight simulator so I needed a better GPU as that computer had a 7950 X3D already. I purchased this card knowing that it would be pretty good because my main system has a 7900 XTX. but man am I impressed. it actually beats my daughter's system with a 3090 standard. in Microsoft flight simulator I'm getting a cool 80 FPS with Ray tracing enabled on 2024 and about 60 FPS ultra on 2020. I was deciding between this car and the 4070 16 GB version but when this popped up for under $700 I decided to run with this card. seeing as the heaviest and most intense game that this computer plays is various flight simulators I didn't necessarily need the other features available from Nvida. if you want something that can run 4K gaming at a respectable 60 plus FPS or a beast of a 1440p card I would advise anybody to buy this. this card also has 20 GB of video memory so I'm able to run the settings on the games through the roof. anybody who knows flight simulator also knows that you can get away with really any modern GPU but what kills performance is the lack of video memory on many of the cards on the market today. Even 16 GB can be overcome with the flight simulator. I've even managed to get it to 22 GB with this card obviously there was a performance penalty going over the buffer but I wanted to push it to its limits. please consider this card if you're on the market for a good mid-ranged system with future potential

I love it. It runs every game I play on max graphics in 1440p and I have no complaints :) a lot of people said they could hear the graphics card, but it’s pretty quiet and I have good cooling so it doesn’t get concerningly hot. Highly recommend!

Awsome GPU, I went AMD over NVidia for my new PC build. I am getting great FPS and have had no issues playing games on Ultra with a 2k monitor. It can run 4k on current games just fine, but I wanted a cheaper monitor. Definitely a good affordable option. This equates to about a 4800 Nvidia card. If you can swing it the 7900 XTX is even better, but it was not in stock when I purchased it.

I switched from NVIDIA to AMD after noticing I needed something more than a 4060 w/only 8GB of VRAM at 1080p. So, the choice was clear. The 7900 XT is dynamic, as it offers solid performance with little to no frame drops in competitive games and single-player. The 20GB of VRAM allows for so much flexibility when you tinker w/the game settings. If you have the option to purchase this card, it would do you no wrong, especially if you want to stay at 1080p or 1440p gaming.

This card is amazing! If you want a top of the line graphics card for 1440p and 4K this is the card you want. It’s a bit pricey but you’re basically future proofing yourself for years to come. It’s a big card though so make sure you have space.
