Customers are saying
Customers are satisfied with the SPEEDSTER MERC319 AMD Radeon RX 7800XT 16GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Graphics Card's performance, especially its high frame rates at 1440p resolution and good value for the price. Many appreciate its relatively quiet operation and easy installation. However, some users note that the card's large size may require a spacious computer case, and its ray tracing capabilities are not as strong as competing products.

Awesome 1440p card!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first AMD card, replacing a 1080 which is an awesome card, but was showing its age. I play at 1440p and have a high refresh rate/freesync monitor. Paired with a 13500k, this card allows me to play at mostly maxed settings in all games I like to play. Day tracing is neat and way better than I was lead to believe based on comparisons to nvidia cards. I play cyberpunk at epic settings with ray tracing and get 66-90 fps, easy. Without, game runs native at buttery smooth 140-165fps. No coil whine so far, looks nice, and the card seems stable and cool and everything I wanted to replace my 1080. Card installed smoothly with zero driver issues. Something to be aware of is how heavy the card is — I’d recommend some sort of gpu support bracket so you don’t sag over time. Overall, I have no regrets and have already had a better experience with ease of use and driver updates than I ever have with my nvidia cards.

Proper GPU, Proper Vram.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I came to this from an RTX 3070, while as a GPU it suited my needs alright, I was coming very close to my VRAM limitation, as I game on 4k 60fps, that was my call for upgrading. This solved my VRAM problems and gave me a nice boost, beware...this is one long GPU, make sure it can fit your case, also not having to use Nvidia's...special power connector is a plus, lower risk of meltdowns! I do not use RTX or stream, which makes the features that Nvidia gives not applicable to me.

Best bang for your buck atm
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is a beast. i changed the stock fan curve just a little bit, and this card doesn't get above 75 degrees at 100 percent usage id highly recommend this card to anyone along with a stand or brace to go with it as it is quite large.

Freaking Monster
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This card is a freaking monster and has been able to handle any game ive thrown at it in 1440p ultra without ever getting anywhere close to dropping below 60fps. This card also handles 4k gaming with ultra settings without hardly ever dropping below 60fps. If you want ray tracing you should get a higher end card as this 7800xt can do it, but only okay. The only game ive ever seen a noticable difference in with raytracing is that new Wukong game. I dont regret a single dollar spent on this card, this gpu is absolutely incredible.

1440p at its finest
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Flawless 1440p gaming. Massive jump in performance, coming off of a GeFore EVGA 1089ti. Can’t keep up with ray tracing heavy games, but I don’t need that. Highly recommend for a “budget” 1440p gaming machine.

Why Spend More?
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The 7800xt delivers competitive fps at 1440p without sacrificing graphics. With 16 gb of ram you can expect this card to last several generations and remain relevant. At sub $500 pricing its an easy purchase to make. I have been running mine for several months to be able to post a fair and honest review. I am happy to report ZERO crashes in both gaming and system use. If you are switching from team green, make sure to completely wipe your computer of any current graphics drivers, there is freeware available that will do this for you.

Powerful GPU w/ energy saving when not in use
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AMD has come a long way. This card easily pushes 160fps on games like COD, NBA2k, CSGO etc... The main selling point of AMD is its super resolution, which is an upscaler that boosts performance. It doesn't match NVIDIAs raytracing but, I don't really play many games with raytracing on so, AMD was the logical choice. Just keep in mind this card is really big so you need a full ATX case to install this.

Pretty Great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.GPU runs cool and quiet while pushing out pretty decent performance for the price! Raytracing is pretty bad for the card but i was expecting that since Nvidia is far ahead on that. The GPU is pretty big so I'd recommend checking your case dimensions before picking up (it just misses my front fans in the 4000d airflow), id also recommend a gpu sag bracket/stand to keep the thing from sagging and possibly cracking at some point in the future (this is common on more expensive cards as they're usually big and only held on one side).

Handily beats NVIDIA in price-to-performance
|Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent graphics card. Demanding titles (e.g. Cyberpunk 2077) will need the help of FSR to play at acceptable frame rates (I got about 55 avg. and 47 1% lows in that game) at 4K ultra settings, but it is absolutely capable. Doesn't break a sweat playing anything at FHD. Sadly, I don't own a QHD monitor to test, but my guess is that is the sweet spot for pure hardware rasterization performance. Beats NVIDIA cards, even (based on the reviews I've seen and the MSRPs) the upcoming 4000-series super cards in price to performance. Don't expect to do much ray tracing on AMD, however.

AMD has better value and frame rates.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing performance upgrade from my Nvidia 3060 12 GB. AMD products may not have as good Ray Tracing, but really, that isn't as important as the frame rate and rasterization.

AMD 7800 XT XFX
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Paired this with a AMD 7800X3D and a AsRock B650M PG Riptide and noticed the difference in every game! Frames are high on 1440p on almost every game! First time with a AMD card. I would recommend measuring your case size as this graphic card is HUGE so had to adjust a fan from the front chassis to the top so graphic card can fit.

Great card! Read whole post 4 context
|Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This probably isn't exactly the type of 5 star review you expect to see on a product but actually mine didn't ever work for me. Neither did I should say. I bought one when it went on sale and got home and tried to pop it into my pc which formerly had a 7700xt. Had the vga debug light on my motherboard and couldn't ever get it to boot. Used my 7700xt, my friend's 6650xt, and my younger brother's 6600 to test and all three worked just fine. Return exchanged for the only other one my local best buy had in stock and had the same issue. Ended up returning that one too after ordering one from amazon and confirming that it worked just fine. After using it for 2ish months I can say the 7800xt is a great card and it is in no way best buy's fault that they happened to have two duds. If you're considering this card know that it's pretty unlikely to happen across a dead one in the wild, but don't be afraid to return exchange if it doesn't work.

Great Card
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Rus excellent, not top-tier but high level card, runs pretty cool w/ Corsair Airflow setup, never crashes, very quiet, I had one replaced for RMA and XFX replaced without issue I(ultimately it was PSU, not GPU issue). Great card, very fast. Godo value.
