Once you get past the setup, it's a great starter

One day, there will be a 3D printer that has good documentation and is truly easy to set up. This printer isn't that, mostly because of really poor documentation. If you buy it, just watch the videos before you do anything. But once you get it set up, it's pretty easy to use, and the software works well enough. The quality of printing can be quite good, especially on excellent setting, and for a first 3D printer, it's a good choice.

Wow! A 3D printer under $300 at Best Buy, the future is here. For a single print head filament 3D printer, with no heated bed, this is a wonderful device. My main issue is with the documentation that comes with it. Read online documents and watch the online videos before assembly.

Doesn't like to print some models. Just prints lines of filament in a pile.

1st off I'd like to say I'm just a beginner with 3D. My 1st impression was COOL. I got it home and it was a snap to set-up. My recommendation is for BIG print jobs please, use a USB port. When I made a project that lasted about 8 1/2 hours in 2 hours, over Wi-Fi it froze on me, when I plugged it in to my computer it worked flawlessly.

I have printed several models from XYZ and they all came out perfect. The .1 layer setting makes for very little sanding before printing. No failed prints yet.

A fantastic, basic starter 3D printer for an awesome price. Buy a glue stick, and cover the print bed before you print anything and each time for best results. If it's a complex design, print it at slow speed.

Im ok with being addicted to printing missing hardware and watching for hours...it does take hours... believe it or not it's worth it and it really is entertaining.

    Confusing instructions and poor support

The instruction booklet is two tone and poor quality, the support site has nothing about clogged extruders, and the extruder clogged on the second build with fresh PLA. After watching the repetitive setup videos and calibration (twice) the extruder stopped up on the second hour of a print. There is no pause and the software takes FOREVER to slice models. OVERALL it was a hard to set up, unsupported piece of garbage.

Terrible product even worse support.... get what you pay for with this Piece of (fill in the blank)! Software freezes on my MacBook pro. wifi doesn't work, wasted 20 mm of filament making a mess all over my counter. This can't be returned fast enough.
