I love technology and gadgets and cinema and unique travel/family-friend products so I thought this would be a perfect little projector for on-the-go movies, for the kids to knock around with at slumber parties, or even for a PowerPoint presentation in a pinch. Sadly, my experience suggests that you should stay FAR away from this unit as it was almost completely unsuitable to meet the intended purposes for which it was designed. However, like I said--I love technology and gadgets and I usually try to find at least something positive to say for any new, neat-looking product like this one. So...let's see; it's small and VERY easily transportable, it's light enough to handle with one hand so you really don't have to worry about being too weak to place/mount it, it comes with a lens protector, tripod, some connection cables and a remote control, and the handy carrying case neatly fits everything inside. Um...yeah, I'm afraid that pretty much does it, because once I tried to put all that stuff into action, everything just fell apart. On paper, it really looked like this could be a winner...there are several inputs for various source files/signals including VGA (who uses that anymore?), HDMI, USB, SD reader, WiFi for screen mirroring, an AV input supported by the included audio/composite breakout cable (not sure how many people use those anymore, either), and even a headphone jack and built-in speaker. BUT, turn on the power and my projector threw a fuzzy mess on the wall that simply NEVER got better. The first problem I found right off the bat was that this projector has no horizontal keystone correction (making a slightly trapezoidal side-firing/off-angle image square again) so you cannot set or mount the projector anywhere except EXACTLY in the middle of the projector's throw. There is a mild vertical keystone correction ring right behind the focus adjuster, but I found that even the slightest physical adjustment for vertical keystone correction distorted the focus to the point where the image was virtually unwatchable. The ONLY way I was able to achieve anything that even resembled decent focus was to place the projector on a table (or in my hands) boosted up to the exact same height from the floor as the center of the screen--but it is not really a feasible solution to stand there holding a projector in the middle of a room at waist level for a 2-hour movie. Then there was the problem of viewing distance. At 8 feet, I could not get a focused image at all no matter where the projector was situated. At 4 feet, I managed to get some fair fish-eye focus dialed in so that the center of the image was clear--clear enough to read Internet text--but the sides and outer edges were still a blurry mess, enough so that it was virtually impossible to read the on-screen instructions for setting up WiFi or AirPlay on my iPhone (those instructions were on the left side of the screen). And again, once I tried adjusting for vertical keystone after placing the projector on a small end table, *everything* went blurry anyway. Then there was the brightness factor. I get it--this is a budget projector so I shouldn't expect spotlight-level brightness, but the image was so dim (and blurry due to the focus issues above) that the only way to see much of anything was in a totally darkened room; if there's even a bit of ambient light (like for a small home-office conference room or something), don't even bother. And despite trying 3 different HDMI cables (and the one in the box) on 2 different laptops, I could not get any sound from the built-in speaker. Not that I would likely have been able to hear anything from the little fellow anyway--the fan noise was high-pitched and loud enough to be intrusive out to our couch about 4-5 feet away. Unless you're huddled around the back of the unit itself, I can't imagine anyone is going to hear much of anything with any sort of fidelity once it's running. Finally, there were some truly strange design choices and other oddball issues with my unit. First, there was no SCT projector screen in the box. The kit did come with some optical cleaning swabs and a lens cloth to help with maintenance--which sounds great at first. The instructions tell you to use a screwdriver to open the cleaning port at the bottom of the machine and then swab out any dirt or debris. But there's no removable port cover anywhere to be found (unless it's hidden under the safety/manufacturer's sticker?). There are two screws at the bottom of the unit, but removing them (with a screwdriver :-) doesn't do anything like loosen the bottom of the shell or release some catch or lid to get anything open...or at least if it does, I couldn't find any evidence of such even after several minutes of close inspection. Mind you, this our third portable LCD projector so it's not like we haven't worked with something like this before, but this one had me totally stumped. Finally, the included tripod is a nice thought but is of such cheap design and construction that it would not hold our projector level even after tightening the lock nuts down as far as they would go. Worse still, the tripod mounting point is at the FRONT of the projector so all the weight of the unit is hanging out the back--the projector was constantly flopping backwards over the tripod's ball-and-socket joint after just a few minutes of use. Sure, I could use my own tripod, but at this point, why bother trying to patch a sinking ship with some paper clips and scotch tape? The tripod mount also overlaps the rubber foot on the bottom of the vertical adjusting rod so you have to completely remove the rod and store it elsewhere in order to install and use the tripod. But again, the vertical adjusting rod is rendered pretty much useless anyway by the awful focus problems that cropped up the instant any vertical lift/drop is added to the throw. Honestly, if you've got a toddler you just want to distract with some moving pictures on the wall, MAYBE this projector makes sense; but for anyone even remotely interested in--I don't know--watching something, I wish I could tell you that you'll likely be happy with your purchase...but I can't. Maybe I got me a dud off the assembly line, but there were just too many issues with this projector to ignore; steer clear!

    The Little Projector That Could

This Yaber projector surprised me. In a good way. I already have a different brand's larger size projector, so had an idea of what I might expect from this one, as they are similar. Although this doesn't have anything to do with how the projector performed, I will say that Yaber certainly packages their product well, and makes unboxing actually fun. The outer box itself even has a smiley face on it. The projector, along with the included accessories, are all encased in a zipper carrying case, made of a 'canvas like' material. How cool is that?! The power cord, remote control, tripod, AV cable, HDMI cable, cleaning kit, and user manual, are all tucked away neat and tidy. All you need is in there (except batteries for the remote). I will say that getting this Yaber projector setup, was a bit of a chore. Not that the user manual wasn't detailed enough, it was. But if I had one main criticism it would be that the projector's 'on screen' menu seems lacking and "dated", and was not all that intuitive or seamless to navigate. Improvement could definitely be made there. Unfortunately, I was not able to get my Android phone to work with this Yaber projector. And I tried everything I could think of, and followed the user manual's instructions, but with no success. It does state in the booklet that not all Android devices are supported. I guess that must be the case with mine. However, I was able to connect my secondary phone (an iPhone) to the projector with very little trouble at all. On the plus side though, I was able to connect this Yaber U5 Entertainment Projector to my PS4 via the HDMI cable. I was able to do this with my other projector, as well. I will say that it's super awesome to see your video games displayed upon a wall, instead of contained within the frame of a TV screen. It's a whole 'nother experience entirely. The sound coming out from the speaker wasn't that bad either. For the size and capabilities inherent in this particular model projector; not too shabby at all. Of course, if you're wanting more full-bodied, richer, deeper "stereo" type sound, perhaps adding a sound bar or speakers might be an option. But I was satisfied with the audio quality 'as is.' The Foot Tilt Base knob, while basic, worked as intended. Adjusting the lens was simple enough, and provided adequate clarity which you might expect from 720p. I streamed some videos from my iPhone, and really did very much enjoy watching them displayed on the wall in my living room. The projector does run a little warm, but is nothing at all like the heat put out by my other full-sized projector. Just make sure to follow the instructions and give the projector plenty of air flow all around the machine. All-in-all, this Yaber U5 Entertainment Projector is a compact, portable, fun and versatile little machine. For the cost, it's very much worth it.

    Pretty decent projector, lengthy set-up

So I only gave this projector 4 stars because there are def some improvements that can be made so that there is not so much work that is put into to starting this up. The set-up was not bad, but it was a little lengthy trying to figure out the sound, connections and wifi set-up. I had to watch a few videos online to figure out why the sound would not work when I connected it my computer and my fire stick. You have to make sure you go on your computer and connect to output speaker and on the fire stick you have to make sure you are connected to basic sound and not the high definition or whatever we had it on when it is connected to our television. When you figure that part out, it is okay. Adjusting the screen is a cinch because there is a knob you turn and that's it. Don't try to connect to your phone and stream anything because the only thing you can do is mirror your phone and it mirrors it to the exact same size and you can only view photos. It does not expand it (or at least I have not figured out how to do it if you can). I did not like that most of the information I needed it was found by youtube or googling what other people did. Even when I connected my laptop, it would freeze or glitch and it took a minute before it worked properly. I had to use it several times before it finally started up with minimal delays. This is a great 1st timers, somewhat simple projector for a somewhat easy set-up once you figure everything out. Once we figured out the glitches, it is a pretty easy set-up now as long as it does not give you connection problems. It came with the outlet cord, HDMI wire, audio cords and a tripod stand. The tripod stand is actually pretty decent, but you have to make sure it is steady and attached properly or it will tip over. The picture quality is not bad. Some angles were a little blurry when I had the it on a big screen setting, but once I changed that size it looked a lot better. I also like that you can attach it to the ceiling (but you have to buy the attachments separately to do that) so you can have it all set-up for movies and watching television. For the most part, this is a 3 to 4 star product, but I gave it 4 stars because I'm a little generous.

This LCD Projector is great for the cost. It sets up easily and has decent resolution. I have had a few different projectors, some for work and others for entertainment, but all were pretty big in size compared to this little gem. Due to its size it is very easy to travel with or move around your home to where you want. I have enjoyed the mobility of the Buffalo U2 Native. I really like the ease of setup and use. I also enjoy how easily the projector connects to media. Since owning I have watched a few different movies on it, although its not a 1080p projector it still produces a really good picture with plenty of brightness. My kids love watching their favorite singers from an online source. Using this projector they set it up to make their very own at home concert setting, making the singers look life size. I have also used the Yaber Buffalo to play my favorite racing game and I have to say, using the projector to produce a large screen sure makes a difference as my eyes aren't what they once were. All in all I have to say that this is a good projector at a great price point.

The Yaber U2 is an entry-level portable projector with 720p capability. It is able to support a single HDMI connection, has two USB-A ports for power, an AV line in and mic out. Keystone and Focus adjustments are done by moving two rings at the top of the projector, and there is a main control panel for power, settings and source selection. It also comes with a remote control that utilizes 2xAAA batteries (not included). Weighing at 2.2lbs, it’s easy enough to carry around, although it’s not the smallest of the portable projectors. It also comes with a nice protective carrying case and a mini tripod for mounting purposes. When I first turned it on, I immediately noticed the noise level of the cooling fan, which is a bit above average for me. Connecting an HDMI device like my laptop was a breeze, and sound was well received when watching streaming content. Since there are two USB-A ports on the unit, you can connect your Roku, Android TV or similar dongles much like how you would on a TV. The other USB-A port can be used to keep power flowing to an external speaker connected to the 3.5mm audio jack or Bluetooth. I didn’t try, but I think you can playback video from a USB thumb drive as well. As far as table mounting, it has rubber feet with a single adjustable front foot for elevation adjustment. That same foot can be recessed completely to attach the included tripod to further aid in pointing your projector. Picture quality is at 720p, which is fine, and it’s pretty bright. You’ll have most success with this projector when the lights are dim or completely off. When stretched to about an 80” projection, I noticed that image brightness reduces considerably, so expect diminishing returns when you go larger and larger. I felt that the projector did fairly well overall for a budget model, but you’re going to have to give it a little help. At smaller projections like 45”-85”, the projector did fine, and I was able to easily adjust the focus and keystone with the manual adjustment rings, which I do appreciate over push button adjustments. One of the defining features of this projector is its ability to stream over WiFi, but there is a HUGE caveat to it. The unit requires you to connect to its WiFi SSID in order to establish a connection. Using iOS, you must do this before attempting to AirPlay as this is the only way for AirPlay to recognize the Yaber. The main problem I see with this from a streaming content standpoint is the inability to access the internet while connected to the Yaber's WiFi. So you’re going to have to rely on content already saved on your iOS device, like a movie or your favorite playlist. So essentially, you’ll need offline media. BUT! On specific Android devices, namely a Samsung with Smart View, you’ll be able to easily connect to the Yaber AND have internet access. So that means access to streaming content while using the projector. For us Samsung users, swiping down from the top exposes buttons for various settings, and you’ll find the “Smart View” button there. The phone immediately recognized the Yaber with no problems, and I was able to stream YouTube content as a test. Latency was surprisingly good, and I had no stutters or hiccups streaming a video with sound. Sound quality is decent as well and did not sound tinny. So a couple of things; if you’re set on using this projector with a streaming dongle only, I think it does the job well, especially with its brightness levels as one of its strengths. If you intend to use it as an Apple Airplay device, I think you’ll be at a huge disadvantage due to the inability to access the internet. It’s the Android Samsung Smart View that makes this projector worthwhile, and I would give it a slight edge of a recommendation from that standpoint.

This is probably the best , most afforable way to game big, do a make-shift presentation and do a pretty decent movie night on the fly. No. The Yaber isn't hitting full HD, but a lovely 720p image is great for a caasual night outside in the backyard or just getting a great big game of COD or Mario Kart with a 100" image. The sound quality is great for such a small unit. Plus you can add an aux connection for big sound. It easily connects to whatever with the included HDMI cable. You can even connect using an AV cable (classic). Inside the box, you'll be greeted with the projecor, power cord, remote(lacking two AAA batteres), an HDMI cable, an AV cable and a freaking tripod. All that fit comfortably inside the included carrying bag{ see images} This thing has eveything you need to get the party started. I don't see why any gamer wouldn't get one of these. You can use a sheet, white or gray wall (gray is preferred, IMO), or even a projector screen. Shot! You can even aim this thing at the cieling. Ever played Mario Kart on your back? It's a thing. The Yaber is very wel built and feels very premium. It's actually amazing that this all comes in such an affordable package. I am very impressed. i think this the first projector that I can openly and freely recommend to everyone. Connect your TV, PC, Game console or phone. This Yaber will get the job done. I love this thing. There's no reasn not to have two of these.

    Perfect Portable Projector

I don’t use projectors very often and when I do it’s very casually. We will do an outside movie night against the garage door, or maybe set it up in the basement while watching basketball or football so that we can get a larger viewing area going and maybe the occasional presentation at work. For the price, quality, and ease of use of this projector, it makes it easy for me to feel like I’ll be using it more often. Right out of the box it was neatly packed in its own cushioned carrying case and wrapped up nicely with a couple of velcro straps holding in place. Also inside, besides the instructions, were a remote (2 AAA batteries not included), a tripod that you can use to prop it up nicely on a table or other surface, the power cord, an HDMI cable (nice addition) and an AV cable to hook up to a an external source such as a DVD player or camcorder. There is also a cleaning cloth for the lens and two long cue tips for when you need to clean dust off the inside parts of the machine. There is a height adjustment screw built into the bottom but, in case that isn’t tall enough or doesn’t provide enough flexibility, it can be removed in order to install the tripod. I like this feature but make sure you tighten the screw sufficiently so the device doesn’t to tilt. For video input, there is an HDMI port along with a connection for VGA devices. That probably won’t get much use but still provides flexibility in a pinch. Keep in mind you cannot hear sound if only using VGA, you will need an external sound source such as a Bluetooth speaker or, if using the HDMI cable you can then use the built in speaker. In either scenario, I prefer to use a separate speaker for higher sound quality. There are two USB ports but one is for media input and the other one is dedicated to hardwiring a connection for mirroring. Lastly there is an SD card reader and a headphone / auxiliary jack for the quiet times. I was impressed with the 720p video quality out of this projector. It’s not full HD but it has a really good picture quality. I started at about 30 inches and moved out from there. I went out to about 100 inches and it began to get grainy to the point where focus wasn’t really helping. I feel that the sweet spot for the picture is at about 60 to 70 inches. It was crisp at this point and I was able to get the focus just right. There second dial on top just behind focus is to help correct the trapezoidal shape that may happen depending on placement. That helps you put it back into its correct rectangular shape. The construction of this device is of good quality and it's small enough to make traveling with really easy. You can use it for pleasure or work. I would recommend giving this projector a shot, I feel it is worth it at this price.

    Clunky and Disappointing

I love projectors. They open up an entire new world of possibilities in entertainment and activities. I use a projector for my every day media consumption, I have a projector in my shop that I use for entertainment and displaying technical information while working on a project, and I have a very inexpensive projector that I picked up online just for outdoor fun. So when I was given the opportunity to add another projector at this price point to my lineup, I was very excited. When you first receive your projector, you will notice that it is a very portable size, comes in a carrying case, and includes everything you will need to get started, including a small tripod, carry bag, HDMI cable, AV Cables, and remote. This gave me a very good first impression. Unfortunately this is where my good impressions end. My first use of this projector was outdoors at night for a family game night where we connected a Nintendo Switch via the HDMI cable. In order to even start getting the equipment it needs to be DARK. Sunset was scheduled for 8:50pm locally, and we couldn't even begin to see the projection until almost an hour later. Later start then we had hoped, but no big deal. At first we just projected onto a clean grey garage door, but we really struggled with clarity. Playing Mario Party, you could see that there were words displayed, but they were very fuzzy. I put up some extra screen material I had laying around and it helped, but not enough to where it was worth the effort putting up the screen. There are some adjustments that can be made with the projector to adjust the keystone and focus, but nowhere near enough that is needed. I physically had to move the projector per the instructions to get the best possible display, which even at is best, was subpar. Speaking of the directions, if you look at the remote button labels, you will the the directions state that a specific button was added by mistake and should not be used. I also found out that you can not add the included tripod without moving the front adjustment leg completely, which is just begging to get this small foot lost. Quality control is not looking good. After about an hour of adjustments and achieving the clearest image I was able, the corners of the display were still incredibly blurry. While playing MarioKart with 4 players, it was a guessing game whether you were going to collect a coin or spin out on a banana peel as you could not tell the difference. Since this projector was obviously not meant for outdoor entertainment, I attempted to repurpose the projector for minor projects in which you can connect and mirror your phone, but the directions are...well again...subpar. The Android instructions include Apple specific apps and information not relevant to Android users. Lastly, to my surprise, I found that this was a "detuned" and relabeled model of the Amazon Prime Days projector I bought for 1/3rd the price that works 3 times better. The body of the projector itself is the same, the accessories are the same, the remote is the same, but the lens and firmware are different, and superior. No I would not buy this projector as it is extremely overpriced for the lack of quality and performance included with this product. Spend your money elsewhere.

This is an inexpensive video projector, but you get what you pay for. It’s reasonably compact at 8” x 6” x 3” and comes with a soft carrying case, remote, HDMI and AV cables, power cord, and small plastic tripod. To use the tripod, you need to remove the adjustment screw because it conflicts with the tripod even when fully screwed in. There is mention of a screen in the description, but nothing of that sort was included. The instructions are in semi-English (reminding me of the early days of imported electronics), and as such, they are semi-useful at best. The connections are numerous but somewhat old school. Included are VGA, AV, headphones, 2-USB A (one is power out only, the other is USB 2 which will read older flash drives), HDMI, and an SD card reader. Focus and keystone adjustments are manual. The bottom has a front height adjustment screw as well as tripod and VESA connections. I’ve seen the light output listed with varying numbers, but from experience, I can attest that the output is 1000 lumens at most, so it needs a very dark room. The audio uses a single small speaker with no low end. It’s suitable for a small space but only if music isn’t an important part of the content. The noise of the cooling fan will be very noticeable in quiet scenes, so you don’t want to be sitting next to the projector. The resolution is 720P (1280 x 720) which is very much on the low end these days. Most phones, computer screens, and broadcast TV are now at least FHD (1920 x 1080 or 1080P), and your TV is most likely 4K or 3840 x 2160. Although it supports Miracast, I was never able to get my Android phone to cast to it. Some but not all my computers were able to find it and wirelessly connect. My suggestion is that it is best to connect through the HDMI port using a cable or a streaming stick of some sort. Plan on an external speaker connected to the headphones jack for decent sound quality or volume. In conclusion, this is old technology with minimal resolution in a decent-looking package. If that suits your needs, then you’ll be happy with the low price. If you want a bright, good resolution picture and decent sound, this won’t meet your needs.

    Pretty Good Budget Model

This projector is my first and it is pretty good. The entire projector and components come in a zippered bag which is very convenient. The projector can be mounted on a supplied tripod. Or it can be put on a table or set-up a permanent mount. The unit has a remote, an hdmi cable, an AV cable. You should know that connecting through an android phone is limited. They clearly indicate that it cannot connect with all android phones. More on that later. Once connected we watched a movie outside. It really must be dark in order to get projection on the wall. We did it on the side of the garage and had to wait for the night to grow in order for a sharper more visible picture. At 780p the picture is quite good. We did have to fine tune it, but we were "satisfied" with the picture quality. Inside the house the quality in projection should be even better. You can connect to your tv, game player, view on a screen, or wall. The hdmi cable makes that type of connection smooth. The same cannot be said for the that wifi connection. It can be a bit maddening to say the least. I finally got that to work, but not easily so. The sound quality is pretty average, but that isnt to say it is bad. It is ok. There is a USB port and an sd card port as well. The AV port can connect to an outside source. This is an entry projector that comes with a good amount of accessories and is pretty good in terms of what you get for your purchase. It is plenty good enough if you are looking for a budget projector and you don't want the expense of a more advanced model.

Finding a cheap projector right now is an exercise in frustration. Pretty much all of them are drop-shipped products originating in Chinese factories with poor parts selection and dubious quality control. After experimenting with a few of them over the years and inevitably coming away disappointed, the Yaber U2 was a pleasant surprise. It's bright, colorful, and genuinely worth the money you pay for it. I think most would find it to be a great bargain, so long as they go into it with their eyes open. Let's start with the good. The projector's overall build quality is good enough for home use and some light travelling. The primary lens is protected via a plastic lens cap, the case is decently sealed along the seams, and most things are laid out in a logical fashion. You can adjust focus and do some (very limited) keystone correction via the dials at the front of the projector and it features options for a tripod mount, a permanent shelf-mount, and tabletop operation. There are remote receivers placed at both the front and rear of the unit so that it'll work in pretty much any configuration (a very common mistake made on other budget projectors, which often only work from a single facing.) They even throw in an 80" projection surface, though I imagine most will get better results with a white wall. Seeing as it's using a small LED light source it's not the brightest image ever, but it can work in a lit room and if you can bring the lights down further everything looks very good. The 720p resolution is a bit out of date at this point, but it's a lot better than what you can usually get in this price point and good enough for most movies to be enjoyable. Where the projector starts to fall down a bit is in its attempts to add features more commonly associated with actual home theater equipment. For example, one feature that they trot out a LOT in their marketing material is its wireless connectivity. It's true, it does minimally support WiFi streaming and when it works it's pretty good. But in good conscience I really can't recommend buying it based on that. It flat out won't work for some of the newer Android phones because Android functionality only works via Miracast, which isn't universally supported but is easier and cheaper to implement than a proper Chromecast. But if it's anything like the Apple wireless performance, you're not missing much. In testing out casting from an iPhone it quickly became clear that they haven't implemented anything but the most basic requirements for streaming, and copy protection didn't make the list. I tried with every streaming service I could think of, and almost all of them immediately blacked out the screen when content started playing. The one exception I could find was the streaming app for PBS, which let me watch the first few minutes of Broadchurch with significant syncing issues. Likewise, the included screen is something of a dubious value proposition. It does do what it's supposed to do and improve contrast between light and dark areas of the image in areas with less than ideal lighting. But it's not quite as reflective as it really should be, so this has the side effect of dulling down the bright spots to a point that it looked significantly worse with it up. It also doesn't help that all it comes with to stretch the material are a few stick-on velcro pads which frankly don't even adhere to the screen surface that well. With enough time to dial things in and a proper frame to stretch it out and remove the creases in the fabric it's probably salvageable... but at that point you're committed to a much larger project. I'm also a little concerned that it's not the best pick for a stationary mount, as the optics aren't really isolated from dust infiltration at all. It did come with a few q-tip like things for you to reach in and swab things down via a cleaning vent... but visibility is not good in there and I'm not at all sure how many can be counted on to do it without accidentally breaking something or smearing goop all over a mirror. So it's probably best to keep it broken down and stored in a bag or carrying case. Despite all this, I do actually like this thing. It's the perfect base for projects, or the centerpiece to the occasional outdoor movie night where no one's going to care if the screen occasionally falls off the wall or has a few weird wrinkles. Even if it can't live up to its loftier performance claims its definitely out-punching most everything else in its weight class. If you go in expecting that, as opposed to hoping for the performance and features you'd get from something costing twenty times as much, I think you might be very pleased.

This is a simple, easy to use projector. Connect the power cable, connect a source to the HDMI, composite video, or VGA port, select the appropriate input form the Source menu, and you’re off to the races. Keystoning and focus are handled by two large, knurled knobs right behind the lens. The remote requires two AAA batteries, which you will need to supply, and everything can be handled with this control. Along with the remote and expected power cable, included in the box is an HDMI cable, composite video cable, a small tripod, two long q-tip swabs for cleaning the lens from the inside if needed down the road, and a nice cloth carrying case into which everything fits. Picture quality is fine. The picture was sufficiently bright in my living room even though it was the middle of the day and the window shades were only partly keeping the daylight out. As noted above, included is a nifty little tripod on which the projector can be mounted to raise it in height above the desk or table or whatever it is sitting on. This is a nice extra as my experience with projectors often has me looking for a book or something to set them on. There is a single adjustable leg in the front center of the bottom to raise the front, but sometimes you want to raise the entire projector. The tripod mount features a standard camera-mount threaded shaft, so the projector could be mounted on any standard tripod as well. Kudos to the manufacturer for adding this feature. Of course, the big claim-to-fame with this projector is that it can be connected to your wireless network, and you can “mirror” a video from your phone to the projector. I have an Android (Samsung) phone, and after several minutes to figure out how to turn in its “Smart View” feature (I had never used it before), I was up and looking at youtube videos in a few moments. The phone had no trouble connecting to the projector. I can find nothing to fault with this projector. It’s low cost, versatile, and has a decent picture. Recommended.

I currently own, and have previously owned, many projectors of varying price ranges and quality. While targeted as an entry-level projector, the Yaber Buffalo U2 is easily the most underwhelming projector I have ever used. The only reason for not giving this a one star review is due to the few positive aspects of this projector. It is lightweight, has multiple inputs, and sports WiFi which is uncommon at this price point. All of this sounds great, however other than the HDMI and USB-A connections working as expected, the pitfalls were plenty. The HDMI immediately connected to my laptop and Fire TV Stick 4K. However, the WiFi connection never actually connected despite multiple attempts and even resetting my router even though all other devices were connected without issue. With 720p one should not expect an amazing picture quality, and with this projector just know you should expect even less. It doesn't matter how many connectivity ports you have, or that the device offers WiFi streaming, if the picture quality is terrible. First, you absolutely must use this projector in very low light, nearly dark conditions. External light sources will easily washout the projections. Second, the throw distance degrades exponentially the further you try to view. I found anything beyond about 8 feet rendered the projection nearly non-viewable. The images become washed out and "thin", colors are lighter, and overall the picture is grainy and out of focus. Which brings me to the third point, the very minimal focus adjustment ability. Up close, the adjustment levels are fair, but from any distance at all the ability to focus is so limited it renders the projector useless. If you are going to use this in a very small space, up close to throw a small image, in very low light conditions then MAYBE this could work for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and do some research. You will find there are many other options near the same pricing with far better quality.

Yaber Buffalo U2 Native 720 entertainment LCD projector with projector screen is a suitable device. Out of the box, I wanted to like this one. I had a pretty fluid design that showed pretty clearly on the included screen. But over the Wi-Fi functions just weren't up to par. I tried loading Netflix on my iPad as well as my Galaxy phone. Although the video played from my phone and Ipad, it never played on the projector. I tried other apps like peacock and Tubi and got the same result, which wasn't a total deal breaker because I was able to plug in a fire stick and get movie night rolling. I also used my Blu-ray player connected, and it played just fine. I think this one was later updates or upgrades might be great, but right now, it's just okay. If you lose the remote, oh my gosh, you can't control this thing without the remote control. It comes with a projection screen, HDMI cable, and a composite cable adapter to hook up other devices. You can also use a USB drive with a video or music loaded to it, so not too bad for the kiddos. You can always hook up their gaming system store but remember it is 720p.

We had a similar projector at our Church and I had used it on several occasions w/ a class that I teach, and I had been in the market and looked at several other projectors when I saw this one. It is roughly the same size as the one at our Church, but that is were the difference stops. This Yaber - Buffalo U2 Native 720 Entertainment LCD Projector is a HIT! When it arrived we were leaving that afternoon to go on a weekend camping trip, and as we were about to pull out w/ our camper the package arrived, so we just threw it in the truck and kept going. I am so glad we did (along w/ the other couples around our camper as well). We had been there for two nights and I thought about the projector in the truck. I opened it, grabbed a folding table, hung a white sheet onto the side of the camper, set it up, which is seamless, and hooked it up to our laptop and we were literally watching a movie w/ in minutes. Granted, the white sheet was not the best to project a picture onto, but it was pretty good. Several of the other campers commented on how small it was but how clear the picture was. I think Yaber will have a couple sold in the near future. It comes packaged in a very secure box, w/ a handle and its very sturdy. I use it to store the projector after we are finished. When we arrived back at home my son/grandson and I watched a Disney movie that we projected on our wall, it was so clear and the process of sitting this up and hooking to our laptop is so easy. I like the fact that you can adjust the height and use the lens control to “clear up the picture’’. Everything that you need to get started Yaber has provided in the box. This is a great projector and I’m most certain we will use for many, many years on our camping trips. It is so good that our Church has agreed to purchase on as well. I HIGHLY recommend this product

This is a pretty bare-bones entry level projector. The big selling point is the wifi connectivity, but I had issues from the start setting up the connection with my Samsung S21 Ultra. The SmartView never found the projector, and I had to download a third party app in order to connect. It was a little disappointing that it didn't seem to be compatible with a relatively recent flagship phone. Once I got the connection issues worked out, connection was fine. The resolution is 720P, which is fine at this price. The picture is washed out in a dimly lit room but looked good with the lights off. My biggest issue with this is the sound. The fan is loud and competes with the integrated speaker. It can be overcome with external speakers, but if you want an external sound system, it has to have a 3.5 mm plug. I don't even own a speaker with a plug at this point. I have a hard time with a device that touts being wifi friendly not having Bluetooth capability. I know this is a budget unit, but Bluetooth is standard in many cheaper devices. While the picture is fine and the price is decent, between the Android connectivity issues and the lack of Bluetooth spear support, I just can't recommend this.

I am an avid Halloween decorator that use projectors for a lot of my decorations and this was a great addition to the mix! This unit comes with it's own self contained zipped bag which is nice and sturdy to protect from minor bumps and can store all of its accessories in it. Speaking of which, there is a small tripod and remote for the projector along with some cleaning supplies for the lens which is much appreciated! One word, it's wireless! You have to establish a wifi connection first before using it on your device. However, I think I may be using a usb dongle to play movies on it. Or I may use a chromecast to utilize the HDMI input. The focus and keystone is located on the top as well as the on board controls. The setup is pretty much like every budget projector software that I have. Pretty basic and pretty simple to navigate to the setting you need to get to. The picture is ok, but you need the room or place you are projecting to to be pretty darn dark. But the image is 720p, which is pretty good for a budget device. This also has decent bluetooth on board. The speaker I tried to pair it with paired up pretty quickly. It has usb ports and HDMI to connect to various devices if you prefer to connect in that way. The negatives other than not being too bright and the resolution to be only 720p, is the lens cover. If they could have attached a tether to it. I will lose it! But for a small room, this is a cool portable device to take with you and it won't break the bank.
