Customers are overwhelmingly positive about Yakuza 0's gameplay, story, and the sheer amount of content, including side quests and mini-games. Many appreciate the unique fighting styles and the immersive Japanese-inspired open world. However, some players expressed minor concerns regarding the subtitles and controls, while others found the frequency of cutscenes to be excessive. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay loop significantly outweighs the negative comments.

My friend bought this and told me to say it was “really freakin good”. I also have a digital copy of this game that I love. The combat is fun, the story is engaging even for newcomers to the series like me. But more than that the side content and shenanigans you can get into while avoiding the main quest line is where it shines for me. I have sunk an obscene amount of hours into Majima’s cabaret club, gone gambling maybe too many times, and done as many side quests as I could get my hands on.
And I definitely haven’t seen everything!
So there’s a lot of well done content to enjoy here.

Yakuza 0 is a terrific game, packed with a simple structure but extremely rich in content. The campaign tells a long, deep, violent story, with two charismatic characters and a whole lot of enemies to fight.

This game has it all insane over the top action, crazy beat em up fighting, karaoke, batting cages, bowling, retro arcades with games like the claw machine, and to top it off it still manages to have a great heartfelt story

Sega has done an incredible job with this game and I recommend it to anyone looking for an engaging story-driven adventure that never takes itself too seriously. Plus it's jam-packed with Minigames and sidequests!

If your interested in this series this is a great place to start as it is a prequel to the first game. It's a very absurd complex story but it's gameplay is close to a brawler with some mini games thrown in.

This was my first Yakuza game and I’m so glad I picked it up and was able to experience the perfect storm of dramatic action-packed moments and quirky humor that I’ve heard so much about. The story is compelling, the gameplay is addictive, and even after you’ve finished the main story, dozens of hours of content await you and keep you wanting more. After having played this, I definitely consider myself a fan of the series and I can’t wait to play its other games as well as Judgement which should be releasing soon! If you’re a fan of high-quality gaming experiences, I highly recommend getting your hands on Yakuza 0—for $20, you’d be foolish not to.

Plays a lot like the rest of the series except the graphics are obviously much better and running at 60fps. Great story, fun mini games, new fighting styles. Everything you'd expect from this series.

Being a huge fan of the series, I had this game preordered for a long time. When it arrived in the mail on launch day, I can say I logged in several hours on that first day alone. Very engrossing action RPG. I enjoyed seeing my favorite characters in their earlier years (this is a prequel) and enjoyed all the new additions and series staples in terms of gameplay types and minigames. I can say I've sunk several hours into the new disco minigame alone. That being said, this game's story is very friendly to beginners, and the mechanics are explained well. All in all, it's what Yakuza fans want and its also a game that can make new fans of the series as well! Highest recommendation!

Incredible game, incredible amount of content. You could easily spend 300+ hours doing side missions, karioke, dancing, etc. And then, there's the game itself... definitely worth the trip!

Amazing game with a great story. Not quite a full open world game but there are so many full fledged mini games and side quests that puts most other open world games to shame.

I didn't do a lot of research when I purchased the game. When I first started playing it, I thought it was a cool yakuza story with a lot of actions. After finishing the game for the first time, I realize I have spent more than 107 hours on it. It actually has more content than any other games I have played so far. Besides the main story, the game has a lot of side quests and mini games. I also like the combat system, and its in-game tutorial to learn and upgrade the characters' skills.

like I said in the subject, it’s great for a reason. the gameplay is a lot of fun, a mix of serous japanese mafia story intertwined with the little day to day details like stopping by the corner store or hanging out at the arcade. the battles are a lot of fun because you can customize your character via a skill tree and you have fighting styles you can switch between. and don’t get me started on the graphics! you can actually see their pores. amazing. what’s also great is that you don’t have to have any previous knowledge of the series, you can just jump right in.

The animations and graphics are not the top of the line, but concerning the game-play and story, this is a very involved and interesting game. I recommend picking this one up only if you are prepared to invest time and effort into learning about the world and back-story so that it all makes more sense. Not exactly a pick up and play kinda game.
