First off, the art book is a great plus! The art that fans created and were selected to be included are just amazing! The game itself is incredible. If you’ve never played Yakuza before don’t worry. You might miss some references here and there but they won’t hurt your experience with this game in any way. The Yakuza games all have a great story and this one is no different. You might need to sit through some dialogue but it’s all top notch. The action is great. Crisp control and smooth martial arts fighting action. I can not recommend this or any other game in this series enough.

A solid game featuring the iconic Dragon of Dojima. A fitting end to the Yakuza series with an intriguing story and a smorgabord of side quests and mini-games that stay true to the Yakuza brand. The Essence of Art edition of Yakuza 6 features an impressive 24 page hardcover art book, showcasing key characters and locations in the game. All in all, the art book contains spoilers so wait until the game's completion before looking.

The Yakuza series is like no other. A gta clone set in Japan barely describes it. The games focus on hand to hand combat, story, and leisure activities in between. It has a weird style that can only be made in Japan. While it is not a true open world title, it makes up for it with many different activities you can do in the city such as visit an arcade and play full classic sega games. If you can't tolerate subtitles then that's you problem. The whole game is in Japanese. The only drawbacks for me are weapon degredation and inability to remove the glowing effects when you're fighting... as far as I know. Buy all the games in the series while you can. Prints tend to be limited.

Ok Here are is the deal. If you need a great story, fun hard butt kicking action, you're into martial arts, RPGs and love being in a virtual Town in Japan then this game is for you. The amount of content packed into this game is unbelievable. - You can fight in tournaments for money - You can build up your moves by leveling up through a skill tree - You can walk around anywhere, play mini games like. Pool, Darts, Bowling, Baseball, a Toy crane game, Pachinko, Gamble at Poker, Mahjong and so much more! - Play full versions of Virtua Fighter 2 and 5 IN GAME if you go to the Sega arcade in the game. - You can also go to a Karaoke bar and play that too with button prompt mini games - You can own real estate and work a hostess bar or even date one. This is just SOME of what you can do. It filled to the brim with content. Only issue if it has any is if you don't like reading subtitles then this might not be for you because the video game is fully voice acted with japanese actors. The voice acting however is AMAZING

The game looks flat out amazing. I didn't know it was possible to improve so much over Yakuza 0-5. I can get lost just switching to first person and exploring the world for hours. This may be the most impressive looking game I have ever played. I can't imagine games getting any better looking than this. I also LOVE the game's exp / abilities / stats system. You get EXP in 5 categories. I can't remember what they actually are offhand, but based on the icons I think they are Power, Speed, Stamina, Knowledge, and Luck maybe. You gain differnt types of EXP in these different categories for everything you do, and there are endless things to do. Fighting, weight lifting, eating/drinking, quirky side quests, Singing Karaoke, playing games, every little nook and crannie has something random to do and everything gives you some kind of EXP. You can then spend that EXP on a WIDE variety of different stat boosts, abilities, and upgrades. Anything from HP up, to new brutal moves to use in battle, to the ability to hold your alcohol and get drunk less easily, to increased luck finding money in encounters. Its incredibly immersive. Story wise, its as good as usual for a Yakuza game. There was one section where you had to constantly comfort a crying baby every few steps while you panic to find Milk at night when all stores are closed, which was as annoying as it sounds, but otherwise everything has been fun and interesting.

I have always heard of Yakuza games in past but I have always been Xbox guy so I never played them. I bought PS4 for Spider-Man game and decided to try the series finally. Downloaded remake of original (Yakuza Kiwami) and enjoyed it. It’s a nice story with great gameplay. I also got Kiwami 2 and plan to play all Yakuza games available on PS4 as well so I picked this one up when I saw it on sale. Reminds me of GTA with rich immersive world and big missions. Art book is great for collectors.

The best looking Yakuza game yet. Not only has the visuals have improved, the game play has improved as well. The fighting is not as fast but it is a bit more realistic than the past games. And as any other yakuza game, the story hooks you in right from the start.

This is the only Yakuza game I've beaten. I've started and failed to finish 1, 3, 4, and 5. The animations and just the weight and feel of the fighting engine are greatly improved. The sidestories are all voiced and there are fewer of the throwaway sidestories which littered the other games. There are fewer of them but none of them felt insignificant. The graphics are greatly improved over the other games. The story was great with only one or two deus ex machinas. The cast was top notch with so many likeable characters. The villains were great as well.

Great game, great story. Graphics and controls have improved massively from Yakuza 0. Especially the camera improvements are a massive QoL surge. However, the combat system feels a bit repetitive, as there is only one stance to play with (as opposed to three in Yakuza 0). This alone may cause some people to stop playing after a while. There is virtually no depth to the combat anymore. While you can use the environment to your advantage more than in previous installments, weapons and the like feel pretty toothless. It's just easier to grab and swing a human than a traffic cone... I personally like the updated level up system. In Yakuza 0 you were forced to grind hours on end for cash on both characters to max out your stats, but in Yakuza 6 you get points to level up for every single activity, including eating.

Yakuza 6 is another great addition to the Yakuza series, It's probably 2nd on my list of personal favorites of the series. I would rate my favorite below from, Yakuza Kiwami 2 #1, Yakuza 6 #2, Yakuza Kiwami, and then Yakuza 0 in that order. I enjoyed them all though in their own way. The game is a great Button smasher action game with an excellent story and some RPG elements. If you love the Yakuza series, then their is no doubt that part 6 is either already in your collection or it will be!

Awesome game! Been a fan since original Yakuza release on PS2. I love the game play and the story so far is epic (as always). This game is worth buying, especially for a true Yakuza game fan. So many twists and turns. And the sub missions, entertainment, and food/drink are very enjoyable. So much to do and see. Yakuza 6 (as well as all previous titles before it) is a game you should def take ur time playing... I'm going to miss not playing another Yakuza with Kiryu as the main.

This Yakuza game is very awesome and sadly hasn't had enough attention! If you haven't played any of the Yakuza games you should definitely pick them up. Game is heavily story driven but had a lot of side stories which can either be really emotional or hilarious. The combat is a nice 3D beat em up game which is easy to pick up and you can definitely get creative with combos.

Yakuza 6 has beautiful graphics, awesome fight combo system and great storyline, including sub stories and mini missions. The controls are easy to use and gameplay is in 3rd person but can toggle to 1st person view. This game is definitely one of the best ps4 titles and series out there. The art book is a nice bonus. I recommend giving this game a try as it is entertaining and immersive.

After Yakuza 7 was announced, they weren't lying about Yakuza 6 being the last we'll play as Kazuma Kiryu. Im nowhere near the end but you can expect everything you loved about the Yakuza series in this as well. Not much to say to be honest, just the same old Yakuza game just some improvements with the combat and amazing story as well.

I wasn't sure about this game when purchasing it, but I was delightfully surprised. It has a great story, challenging fighting, incredible graphics and interaction with lots. It was fun to stop at vending machines for a can of coffee when exhausted. =) It is my first Yakuza; since I purchase more to see the earlier stories play out. So glad i got this one!

Very deep story and an incredible achievement for RGG Studios' implementation of the Dragon Engine. Because it is a true test of the engine, it is a bit lighter on minigames compared to other games in the series, but there's still plenty to enjoy! The additional artbook was really cool too!

This is one of my favorite series and this was a fitting end to Kiryu’s story. Combat is really tight, it’s like Virtua Fighter never died. The side quest are always good for a laugh. The story is so over the top, but the characters are so well developed you can’t help but be invested. Great niche series more people should check out.
