I love the entire Yakuza Series! Yakuza Kiwami 2 is probably one of my favorite of the entire series though. You can really connect with the characters and the Intriguing story as you play through. Since their remastered releases I plan on putting some hours into the series!

Game and story are sooo much better than future games. I never played the last game, but definitely you need to play this game in order as there is a lot of backstories. Can def spend about 20+ hours in the story and its great characters Awesome action

Played through the series, and this remake is the best yet. Tweaks to the gameplay and leveling systems make it easy to get into. Story has new content to make it unique to the original Yakuza 2. Even has full arcade version of Virtua fighter 2. Worth every penny.

Storyline is pretty good! Not sure where to start? There are so many in the series best to start with Yakuza 0 then just play kiwami 1 and 2. This one is a must have features great story to is successor and the action is great and immersive fun.

this game does everything from the original ps2 classic. it adds some new cutscenes and new gameplay to the mix. combat and everything is great. and the side missions are whacky. highly recommend you play this game if you want to witness such a classic.

Tons of fun, the story was incredible, the combat was fun, and the sub stories were super funny. Usually side activities in games are bad, but in Yakuza Kiwami 2 they are a must. They are fun things to do to distract from the serious tone of the main story.

I can't praise the Yakuza series enough. It combines fantastic visuals with enthralling gameplay. The story telling is outstanding; serious where needed but pleanty of goofiness in between, especially with sidequests. It deserves more than 5 stars.

I didnt really like the remake of part 1... it basically just looked like a ps3 game ported to the ps4. This game however (part 2) looks like an actual remake. Very impressed! Lots of side stuff to do... fun gameplay and a pretty deep story

This series is amazing. I recommend that you start with Yakuza 0 which is only 20 bucks if you want to get a feel for the backstory of the hero. Otherwise this is a great pick up and play button mash action game with alot of content.

Yakuza Kiwami 2 is a remake of Yakuza 2 with their new graphics engine. Combat and graphics are great, but the story is where this game truly shines. Highly recommend, easily one of the best games I've played that came out in 2017

Much improved game from Yakuza 6, RGG have gotten used to the Dragon Engine and it shows here. Battles feel smoother and less laggy, Karaoke has been fixed. Story is decent, great villain.

I recommend everyone new to Yakuza start with Kiwami and then move to Kiwami 2. To start here would rob you of some great enjoyment in the previous game, and 1 is harder to go back to after playing 2. These games have tons of content and can take up a lot of time if you get too invested in them. Binging on Yakuza will probably wear you out, so be sure to give each one enough time to enjoy optional content and get more invested in the world. Yakuza 2 amps up the fun insanity of the previous game and Kiwami 2 is built with a more modern engine than Kiwami 1. The Kiwami games are great remakes and you should at least try both of them before deciding if Yakuza is a series for you.

This is a remake from the ground up and uses the new engine used in Yakuza 6. It's visually striking, has a great story, and tons and tons to do. Lots of hours of gameplay here.

Having never had the opportunity to play the original Yakuza 2 for PS2 I don’t have a basis for comparison. But, what I lack in experience with the original I can provide a fresh perspective from a newcomer to the series. Everything that made Kiwami so good is amplified and made even better with Kiwami 2. The Dragon Engine constantly flexes it’s gorgeous muscles while walking through realistic representations of Sotenbori, Kamorucho and other places. The cities are bursting with life and activities for you to participate in. The story is incredible and the gameplay is addicting. The Yakuza series represents one of Sega’s best ips.

This is by far the best and smoothest running release. They used the Yakuza 6 engine and went all out for Kiwami 2. Great story and a ton of gameplay makes this a must play.
