A different take on the Yakuza franchise
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not the same as your usual Yakuza game but it ends up working. Who knew mashing up Yakuza and a turn based RPG would work so well. The game has great music and characters. I recommend this game for any newcomers or returning veterans to this series.

Game is great, came undamaged.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Game case and sleeve arrived undamaged. Game is great. I didn't realize it was the steelbook day ichi edition until it arrived, which is really good for the price. It came with a second steelbook (free gift). Well worth the money.

Nice game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first yakuza game. I really enjoyed it. The beginning an be a bit slow but it starts to get more and more interesting. Quite story heavy. And love the turn base combat system. Recommended for gamers who likes JRPGs and turn base battle games

Yakuza the RPG game
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.New game in the series of Yakuza games that adds the turn based gameplay to the series... if you’re into the Yakuza games this is a must for your collection... Great price at $35 and on top of that you receive a free Steelbook to match...

Another great addition to the accuses series!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really fun game in the Yakuza series. If you've played these games before you know what to expect. If you haven't played these games you might be in for a bit of a surprise. Lots of fun in my opinion!

Yakuza: JRPG Edition
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game combines all the things you love about Yakuza but changes the gameplay dramatically. This one is set as a JRPG. At first I was skeptical about the change, they had a winning formula... Why change it? However after playing I am glad they did. I love the series but even I have to admit it can get stale/boring sometimes. I am not saying they should change the entire series to a JRPG but I am happy they are willing to try new things going forward. The RPG mechanics in this game are actually really good too. There is basically a class system and (as you can imagine) it is just as ridiculous as the normal games are known for. Even if you aren't a Yakuza fan but enjoy RPGs I would recommend playing this game! It has a lot of charm, kind of like Persona 5

Best JRPG Of 2020
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really love this game, its story, the mini games, funny scenes and the tear jerker. The Yakuza series has alway been about those things and I cannot wait for Ichiban Kasuga's story to continue.

Best Yakuza game?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Probably the most controversial entry in the Yakuza franchise, Yakuza 7 is an enormous, hundreds-of-hours RPG that will whisk you away to Japan and have you beating down waves of goons with a quirky sense of humor to boot! One second your in battle, performing wrestling moves on thugs, the next you’re in one of the games’ many different mini games strewn about across the huge sprawling world!

A Modern Japanese Story with Classic RPG Mechanics
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yakuza: Like a Dragon is a love letter to the wit and humor of the Yakuza series. With a new protagonist, it is a great entry to start out on as well. Really excited to see where RGG Studios takes this series next.

If you enjoy JRPGs, play this asap
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the best JRPG released since Lost Odyssey. Although Persona 5 may have better combat and dungeons, this game crushes it in the story/characters department. This game is a must play for JRPG fans.

Turn-based JRPG-style combat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yakuza: Like a Dragon’s colorful turn-based combat, engaging lead characters, and detail-rich setting make for a refreshingly different and mostly thrilling installment in the long-running Japanese crime series. However, path-finding annoyances and a number of escalating difficulty spikes in its closing chapters made completing its story feel like much more of a repetitive slog than any of the previous games.

Just short of a perfect game
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice yakuza game but a bit buggy especially on the ps4 version. The free steelbook is nice and the steelbook of the game is well done too. The rpg element was well done, but I was not a fan of the consistent dragon quest references since there were too many for comfort. Ichiban is a nice addition to the yakuza universe and there could be a better game in the future if the gameplay is further refined.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I picked this up having never played a Yakuza game, and I was immediately hooked. The characters are all interesting and have their own sub-stories. The gameplay is fun. The story keeps you hooked. There's a lot of fun side content to keep you playing long after thr credits roll. It made me a fan of the series. Highly recommend it.

Fantastic game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hell yeah. It's good even though there's turn based game play. I recommend playing judgement and lost judgement which comes from the same studio that made this video game.

Great
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game. I know the change to JRPG turn-based combat gave some people pause, but it's still the same great Yakuza we all know and love, with even more of an emphasis on the goofiness.
