I've had a couple smart locks in the past but one of the main issues I've had with them was how the lock would actually unlock. I've had one that utilized geo-fencing which was really hit or miss. I had one where Bluetooth was the main way to unlock the lock and another where I had to open the app up everytime I wanted to lock/unlock the lock. While they all worked as intended, they weren't very intuitive or just didn't work "properly". With this new lock installed, I was hoping for more but not expecting a whole lot if you know what I mean. Just, meh, new lock...something new to play with. However, after using this for a couple weeks now, it's far better than what I had expected. The biggest pro I saw in this was the fact that it had Apple Homekit compatibility. Being a heavy iOS/Apple user, this was a big plus for me. After getting everything setup, it was quite clear that this was the perfect smart lock for me. Like with any other smart lock, you can setup guest codes within the app for others to use. You also have the ability to add an unlock to your Apple Wallet too. You can open up the Wallet up and use it just like a hotel key or something. But the biggest pro for me was the ability to use my Apple watch to unlock the lock. Now, no more fumbling with my keys or phone to open the lock on my door. I just hold my watch to the lock and, boom, it's unlocked. SOOOOOOO much easier this way and it's just such a huge improvement over my older smart locks.

Overall I’ve been pleased with this product. Does everything it says it does. Only knock is this goes through batteries pretty quickly. It takes 4 AA batteries and I had to change them out after about 3 months of use. I bought this product since it pairs to Apple HomeKit and that feature works well. You can add a “key” to your Apple Wallet, but I end up just using the code 99% of the time.

We switched out our older Yale/nest smart lock for this one and haven’t looked back. It’s a breeze to set up and operate and the mobile wallet key on your phone or watch is really handy. None of the issues that plagued us with our older model have shown up here. It’s also a good bit smaller than our old lock which has been nice.

Easy to install, easy to use. Works well with Apple HomeKit and our family. Love the feature where I can raise my phone to the lock to unlock.

Overall the product is great! Apple Home Key is a huge plus and one of the main reasons I purchased this product. My only complaint is the wifi/bluetooth connection, very delayed in comparison to my other locks that run off of Matter over Thread. I hope Yale comes out with the Matter smart module soon. A great alternative is the Level Lock Plus that can be upgraded to Matter over Thread capability through a firmware update.

My 4th Yale Assure because they are awesome and the app is amazing. I prefer no key for higher security. Easy to instal and for once instructions that are detailed and accurate.

Easy to install. Sensor works with my iPhone and Apple Watch. Can also use code. This is an amazing lock! Life is much easier now.

Bought this for a short term rental so I could set new codes and what not from out of town. Setup was relatively easy. I’m able to set new codes and how long they are valid. I can lock and unlock the door remotely. I also get alerts when the door is open/shut and locked/unlocked.

The Yale Smart lock is fancy and effective. It brings a modern view to my entrance and it's so easy to use.

Works much better than my last lock. Couldn’t ask for anything easier to use. Installation was a little difficult - had to chisel out some wood in the door but it’s been great (inc the battery life)
