My wife locked herself out the house while I was working. I found being locked out of our own house to be unacceptable. So I was motivated to get an automated lock. This Yale lock matches our door handle, and it works every time we use. Nothing else I could ask for. The app is a nice feature as well.

The only thing I don't like is the battery life, it doesn't last as long as the Yale nest lock. Other than that it works great.

After trying two different brands of electronic deadbolts, I decided to give Yale a try. I'm very happy with this purchase. It was very easy and set up but most importantly the batteries have remained charged since installed. I highly recommend giving this a try.

We purchased this lock for use on a bedroom door in a rental apartment. it appears to be very well built and works well. I like the feature that allows me to know when the batteries need to be changed (I would recommend that you plan to change the batteries every 12-16 weeks). If the renter cannot remember their password, you can open the door remotely using your cell phone. This model also has a key as a back-up in the event that something goes wrong with the electronics (as of this time that has not happened). I highly recommend this lock for anyone needing remote access.

The lock works very well. The app did have an issue. We have multiple locks. To add users to the 2nd lock, I had to delete them and then recreate the user and add both locks to them. I couldnt just add the lock to them when there was only 1 lock. After recreating the account, everything was fine. I like that if there is any resistance on the bolt, the lock "taps" the bolt to try to force it to close. Other locks I've tried just give up and error if that happens.

I love how you can create different guest profiles with designated codes! Also that you can lock and unlock the door from the app at any point! And see a history of who has unlocked it. Highly recommended!

Easy to install, directions were clear. Best part call support is available 24/7. Had an issue after the install and call support was able to help fix the issues in less than 5 mins. Prefectos works with apple home kit which was a plus for me.

Installed without a problem. I have the wifi version and it seems to be work well. The battery compartment is easily accessible from the inside, so changing batteries will be simple.

Bought this as a replacement/upgrade for an existing deadbolt. It performs as advertised and was very easy to install. So far no issues and no keys to lose…

Simple. Easy to use. Connectivity had no issues. It took a little bit of work to install it in my door, but honestly this is one of the best Yale lock in a long time. I was looking at this one or the one with the fingerprint reader, I work in tech and bypassing a fingerprint reader is extremely (easy no matter the) so I opted for this one.

I truly love it. I recently changed and had to change every lock in the house. So I decided to get this lock. It was easy to install and even easier to use the app. It's worth it

Yale has a really great track record as a lock company. As an actual lock, this thing works. As a smart lock? Absolutely forget about it. Had it for less than a year and the wifi receiver kept going through batteries like no tomorrow. On top of that, one day the smart functionality just stopped working altogether. I think i reset this thing like 5 times in the brief time i had it installed in my door. THANKFULLY i have bestbuy totaltech. Took it over to have them look at it and they just gave me the full price in store credit for it. That is why i gave this a 2 because Bestbuy actually honored the warranty I purchased and I was able to get a different lock.
I had gone through some support steps from their documentation but they apparently need to be within a few feet from a Wireless antenna. Obviously that is not feaseable in all houses so this is pretty irrelevant and a bad design flaw. I would NOT recommend this lock.
