This my second yale lock. The first one failed after 2 years. This one is just over a year old and has given nonstop issues since I got it. Batteries die after only one month. Fingerprint reader is extremely finicky. Proximity sensor is very unreliable.

Love the functionality so far. Having a hard time with fingerprint set up and i can't get it to connect to my Xfiniry Home Security. However, it's still nice & works well.

Figerprint works great. This model does not support apple key.

The insulation service was terrible. I ordered this lot a month ago and the night before advised me to get ready because they were coming to install it then the day off they called and told me that they wasn’t coming because they were still waiting on the lock, but I also had other service that I needed done and they refuse to come out to complete that service

This Yale Smart Lock is an overpriced, overhyped piece of junk bought here from Best buy with only a 15 day return, I spent $300 expecting a reliable, secure product and instead got a dysfunctional door ornament. Some of its key features simply do not work, and after five phone calls and nearly a month later talking with Yale customer support, I’m still dealing with the same issues. Their “technical support” is laughable — useless scripts, vague apologies, and the same line over and over: “Our technical team is working on it.” No timelines. No progress updates. No results. Just a whole lot of waiting and frustration. I’ve wasted hours of my time and hundreds of dollars, and Yale can’t even provide a straight answer. For a company that sells “smart” products, their support is anything but. Buyer beware — if something goes wrong (and it will), you’re completely on your own.

I bought two (2) of these locks- one for my elderly mother's front door (so I can manage letting people in when I'm not in town), and one for my front door. My wife and I loved it, until ours died after just changing the batteries about 4 or so weeks into owning the lock (it was brand new). I started a warranty claim from Yale (now Master Lock - go figure), and it has been over a month and they are still making me wait for a replacement. Ironically, today when I was about to write them to see if they shipped the replacement for our door, the lock on my mother's door died in exactly the same way- changed batteries and the lock no longer works. I can't get a refund from Best Buy because it is outside their return window (it was when the lock broke the first time). I just wrote them and asked for a refund in exchange for both locks, instead of a warranty replacement. I no longer want to put unreliable, poorly engineered locks on any of our properties. I don't know if they will give us our money back, but we spent around $500 for both of these and all we are left with are what is equivalent to about $50 in standard locks. Please save yourself from a major headache. Go with a different brand. Ever since Master Lock bought out Yale Home, their quality tanked. I will probably opt for a Schlage Lock instead, which may not have fingerprint, but at least might work with Apple Watch integration, which is just as good for us.

It’s very hard to program to your finger print but once done it works good.

Best lock I have bought yet! I really enjoy the smart sense that unlocks as soon as I walk up to the door whenever I return home.

Works perfectly! I love that I can give my family their own passcode and it tells me who enters!

Auto lock keeps cutting off. Have to go in app & cut it back on all the time.

Installed in August, died in November. Going on 2 weeks without a replacement, with no end in sight, as customer service told one time “the warehouse is backed up”, and then “because of Black Friday deals we don’t have any replacements for you”. So I’m just in limbo with no lock on the front door. Never in a million years would I expect warranty process to be this horrible

Says it works with Wi-Fi, but seems like it always requires bluetooth instead. I see no way to connect it to Wi-Fi or my SmartThings hub. Also, had to redo the fingerprint learning 3 times for that feature to work properly. Likely will go back to my numeric-code-only Schlage soon.

I absolute love it. My Schlage smart lock was intermittently working. I love the features. Worth every penny.

The touch screen fails quite often. It is not very good

The lock works great. We weren’t sure we’d use the finger print but it’s so convenient and is one of the best features.

I upgraded from the august lock and never looked back. This works great in setting up guests and the fingerprint is very responsive, highly recommended!

It really helps when you need to have control of the entrances in your house while saving in copies of keys.
