Absolutely terrible! It has all the features you want, but too bad the Bluetooth is so unreliable that it makes every advanced feature impossible to use. The setup is awful! I've never had a smart home device take so much time to install! After nearly 8 hours on the phone with Support AND them mailing me a new August module, they informed me that it's just not compatible with my Android device (Google Pixel 3, running latest Android). I asked them what Android devices they supported, and I they said "all". This is clearly August's problem to figure out. The worst part is that Yale took so long to mail me the replacement August module that I can no longer return the lock to where I purchased it.

The setup and configuration to add PINs and to have HomeKit (and Siri) recognize it correctly is pretty fiddly and the documentation is lacking. The documents don't clearly indicate which features are bluetooth only, iOS only, Android only, WiFi only and so on. It's kind of "generic" for all the different comms modules you can use with the base lock.

Love this product. Never leave your house and forget keys again. Very safe nobody will know your passwords but you. Highly recommend

This door lock took a little effort to install. I had to make the whole in the door where the deadbolt slides out bigger. The features are great, it looks stylish and modern. The reason why i gave it 4 stars is because you will have to buy an additional $50 z-wave module for the door-lock to be z-wave compatible.

Even with BILT there were important steps that were missing. The procedure to reset by removing batteries and holding down reset button till batteries were reinstalled is an essential step not well documented.

Great to use and not have to carry any keys, love it

I love being able to lock and unlock my door from my phone or smart watch. It’s just one component of a smart home. Easy to program too.

Loved this lock but had to return it because I failed to notice it only worked with HomeKit and not zwave hubs. Easy to install.

I rate this good only because the instructions very not clear even though it contained a step by step picture process. However, the people on the help line are extremely polite, patient, and professional. We could not have set up the unlocking codes without the assistance of the support personnel.

Couldn’t be happier with this purchase. It was very easy to install and I love the fact that I can lock/unlock via my phone.

This is a good lock if you are in an automated home or trying to create one. I only rated four stars because the locking mechanism seems longer than average which required additional drilling to get the lock to set perfectly. If you don’t you get any annoying sound and alerts that your lock is jammed.

It was easy to install. Overall I have had it for almost a month and no complains I enter my code and it unlocks perfectly.

Easy smart lock to install and setup. They only reason I do not give it five stars is because I wish it would have NFC compatibility for the price. It is able to use bluetooth to lock/unlock. It is also compatible with my Alexa and Apple HomeKit.

Yale smart home lock is an excellent product if you want to have access to your home without carrying a key.

I previously owned the Yale nest smart lock. But I decided to take the HomeKit route so I sold it and found this one . This one fills all my needs. Being able to command the lock with Siri and also have the option to unlock it via proximity is awesome. Since it comes with August integrated technology it can open up the lock once you get to your house. Or you can just do it manually as well :)
