with built in subwoofer bass is average. Clear voice is an improvement over tv.

Upper frequencies are a bit weak, otherwise performance is good in stereo mode. I was not interested in simulated surround effects. Plenty of volume when needed. Did NOT want a wireless subwoofer, which might interfere with household wireless network. Purchased a separate subwoofer, which is wired to the subwoofer output on the soundbar. Very happy with results.

Great sound bar to recommend if your looking for something to reduce clutter in your household. Just a head up the mounting location is at the bottom of the unit if your seeking to wall mount this item. Great sound an the Alexa functions work perfectly without a remote. Last it does have a Yamaha app (both IOS & Android) not many sound bars do it increase ease of use

Bought this sound bar so I could better hear voices from my television. It has helped a lot, sound is much clearer. Was very easy to set up and start using. Plus I like the idea that It’s all in one piece.

Overall I’m satisfied with sound and quality. One major flaw however is that even after syncing to my tv remote you have to use Yamaha remote to turn on sound. Once sound is on all other functions work off of the tv remote. Spoke with two different Yamaha techs and neither could either fix or answer why.

Sound bar is adequate for most normal music theater room activities. It has a handy remote with settings for Movie, TV, Stereo, Bass Boost, Voice Clear, etc. High end audiophiles might be a little taken aback because it cannot do what normal high end speaker systems did in the past, but this is a digital surround sound quality.

Super easy to set up. Remote has limited range from the side.

Originally setup for the main tv and sounded great. Recently got another system and moved this one to the garage gym. Great sound for regular movie watching and football.

It was cheap and allowed me to add my own sub woofer. Thank God for that because the best part of my setup with this sound bar IS my sub. Unfortunately, the sound of this SB coincides with it's price. You DO get what you paid for here. I was debating on going cheap or going BIG, like the Sonos or Bose. I should've went big, because this is getting put into the bedroom and I'm buying the Bose 900. The sound just isn't there for a main room system. Mids and highs have that "tin" sound and it makes vocals difficult to understand...even after tweaking the settings. Maybe it's my vaulted ceiling? Maybe it's something I missed? I'm not sure, but I've had it for a while and I've never gotten it "right".

Phenomenal sound that exceeds all other sound bars with separate subs. I am using this bar outside and it sounds like I'm in a theater. 100 percent recommended

I was looking for quality on piece unit to go under my bar's tv and this was just perfect. Sound quality is great and love the looks. Easy install too.

Works great with Sony TV. Has HDMI passthrough allowing the TV to control the soundbar. Excellent sound and has options for Bluetooth and other devices.

This sound bar has an amazing sound quality. It also has app support which makes it easier to control volume and setup sound based to what you are watching.

Works well. Makes tv sound so much better and having Alexa built in a great plus as it can control some of the functions.
