Yamaha is well known in the home theater arena for developing high quality products; so it comes as no surprise the YAS-209 continues to deliver high quality sound. The true surround simulation is convincing enough that you have to look behind you sometimes to see where the sound is coming from. It has clearly labelled buttons on the remote, though you can use voice command with the built-in Alexa. I have yet to enable any of the video skills it keeps asking me to do, but it's still quite useful. The subwoofer is plenty powerful and shakes the floor in some instances. This system does a great job at any volume level though, and it's compact size fits unobtrusively just below my screen. I'm enjoying it and I think you will too.

Fantastic Soundbar! I have no issues with it and would highly recommend this product for anyone looking to upgrade their sound experience compared to a Television Speaker. Brought it to multiple apartments over the years in multiple setting/living room layouts and it was perfect in each.

I love this soundbar. It's sleek, looks good and sounds excellent. So it comes in the usual pain packaging that most soundbars do. But once you get past that it's a breeze. Set up is easy, the bar itself is lower profile so will fit under TV's that are on lower legs so no worries there. This thing will connect to anything lol. Bluetooth, wifi connection for use with your phone, Alexa and Spotify. I don't use those things much but it's great to have them available. Now the most important thing is the sound and this doesn't fail to deliver. The kids and Hugh's are clear but you still get a bucket full of bass. The voices come through and you don't struggle to hear them over the action unlike some other setups. The sub has a decent range too so your not stuck with it being stuck 1 foot away from the TV. Overall this is a great option, it's true to Yamaha form and you won't be disappointed at all.

This Yamaha soundbar is sleek, solid built, powerful output, with amazing sound quality. The soundbar comes with wireless subwoofer. There is also Alexa built in for voice control, controlling smart devices, as well as pairing with other Alexa devices. Download the app which is mandatory to update any firmware on the soundbar as well as connect the soundbar to Wi-Fi. The subwoofer connects to the soundbar automatically as soon as you plug it in and turn on the soundbar. I was able to setup this soundbar with my TV fairly easily. You can connect the soundbar with TV or audio devices using the HDMI port, digital optical in, and Bluetooth. It also supports Dolby and DTS sound the HDMI 4K pass-through feature, but if you have multiple devices, you either need to get a HDMI switch or manually connect these devices to HDMI out every time you use the soundbar since there is only one HDMI out. This is kinda not ideal setup. You can use the app or the included remote to change the audio source directly. I really like the surround sound this produces, it is clear and provides good bass. Overall, this is a great mid-range soundbar with good sound quality and features that you would find in other competiting soundbars.

tried this after Sony and Samsung. The sounds are very close to real ones, the bass is deep and of high quality. The clear voice option is truly good for movies, to finally hear the dialogues. Can't go wrong with Yamaha. Others are overpriced for sure.

Very attractive, sleek design and sounds great! Excellent bass from the wireless subwoofer. Has multiple sound selections (movie, voice, music, sports) that make a noticeable difference. Also has surround and 3-D surround settings which sound great!. Works easily with Bluetooth music, too! This was a nice upgrade from my previous soundbar which was smaller and did not provide as much bass.

I have really enjoyed the Sound Bar. It has a lot of nice features and the subwoofer has just the right amount of bass.

I appreciate what Yamaha has done here. This a great sounding bar. Rather than chase the alphabet soup of trendy marketing tricks, they put out a soundbar that nails the most important thing. The sound. After listening to way too many in this price range that claim to support Atmos, I'm convinced it's a meaningless label in this price range. The YAS 209 just sounds great, without all the BS.

Nothing but frustation on this soundbar. Shuts off randomly, doesn't work on 4 or 5g networks and the remote doesn't work. Would never buy again.
