These speakers are pretty great. I was extremely surprised of the clarity and the bass. I will say though be careful with the clips as they are very sensitive and if you break them you are in for a bumpy ride. The speakers come with nice wire terminals and they are pretty strong. But I am most impressed with the sound. I have the SC-82 Pioneer Elite and that thing is powerful and they handled the power pretty well. I also have the 8 inch ones and those are great too. Give them a shot you wont be disappointed. I was happy that Best buy had them although I did get a second pair cheaper on Amazon. No offense Best Buy!

These are great for a commercial space. Bought these for my sister's salon and the pair alone provide clear sound for 900 sf. Comes with a template to cut out circle from Ceiling Tile.

These Yamaha speakers have a clear, good sound! Installation in a drop ceiling was easy. Would recommend and purchase again!

I bought 2 pairs of these to use as Atmos overhead channels in my 7.2.4 setup. They are crisp, clean and have all the punch needed for a superb Atmos experience. My go-to demo with these has been the bluray of Midway. Lots of active Atmos scenes are present throughout the film, and it's a great movie as well. When I eventually upgrade to a 3rd pair of in-ceiling speakers for Auro 3D, I'll likely grab another pair of these.

I installed these in my bathroom recently and they sound great! Very low profile, they just disappear on the ceiling.

I installed surround sound in my bedroom and needed speakers that would give good sound without having to add huge components. These give great sound for when my wife and I watch a movie in bed or if I'm watching sports in my room.

Replaced some existing speakers and mid measures. These were larger than what I was replacing. It’s ended up being okay as I was able to enlarge it with the template. Easy to install, I like the clips that keep it in place. The speaker grill goes to the edge whereas the original speakers I was replacing had a bezel. That bezel made them appear more flush as it tapered down from the middle to the edge. These are probably 1/4 off the ceiling all the way around. They have a great sound and are much louder than the speakers we replaced. Very happen with the on a whim purchase.

I was building a house the the builder has a AV guy who does the home theater. He wanted me to buy five of the Sonance 6.5 inch speakers that cost 599.99. and was going to charge about $900 for the installation. I bought 6 of these for 149 per pair and had GeekSquad come install them for about $50 with total tech support. I saved a butt load of money and got a system that sounds great. I'm not going to pretend these sound as good as Sonance but for less than $1000 (including the receiver) you get a great system. They aren't noticeable, the sound is still theater level, and they are affordable.

Great sound. Easy install. Hightly recommend. Would buy again

First of all, these are built like tanks (very hefty in the hand, too), the push-in speaker wire terminators grab like none other and make one-handed installation a snap, and they sound amazing. But forget about all of that-- let's talk about the grilles. Anyone who has worked with "normal" in-ceiling speakers know the grilles are generally impossible to remove, impossible to replace, their edges bend up like paper and never quite hit that little slot they're supposed to, and once the grille is out it never goes back in quite the same way. Not so with these Yamahas-- the grilles are MAGNETIC. Put them anywhere near the speaker and they just snap into place. What a joy! I own three pairs of these already and plan to buy many more.

These speakers are designed and built well, they are easy to install, and have great features for the price. I installed them in our master bathroom as part of a whole home system, and they fill the room with clean full sound, they are not as dynamic as some higher priced speakers under these conditions, but are exactly what I was looking for at this price point.

I use these as my surround left and right speakers. They were very easy to install and the sound is amazing. You don't notice they are there until they are needed to produce that sound in a movie. The magnetic grill is a good feature and it's very flush on the ceiling.

Have installed these speakers in an outdoor patio and an indoor great room. In both locations, there is a reasonable amount of bass and the overall sound quality is good (for a ceiling speaker). Installation is very straightforward and similar to most ceiling speakers with swivel post mounts.

I bought the Yamaha in ceiling speakers for my rear surround setup. I’ve had surround speakers before but these are the best by far. Easy to install and look great as they are white and blend in with my ceiling. Great buy and on sale too!

Speakers installed in ceiling easily and looked fantastic. I added 4 to replace some large bookshelf speakers for surround in a 7.1 system. The directional tweeters can be adjusted to the seating locations and add to the surround effect. The covers click in place with magnets.
