I have been purchasing these to upgrade the old whole house system that was installed in the 90's. They are a very easy install with minimal cutting to the sheet rock. The final installation is a speaker that lays literally flush to the ceiling with a amazing sound.

Fantastic speakers. We had a home orewired for additional speakers in two rooms. These have impressed us with their sound quality. Easy to install too!

Was dreading installing these - I am not handy and hate going into the attic. But these went in so easy. Really well thought out tightening mechanism. Once in they sound great and much better than the wall mounted ones they replaced.

Very well designed product by Yamaha. Installation was very easy, and the brackets that hold it are well built. The speakers sound above average for the price range. Really not a true down side to them. And for the price I don't think there is a better choice.

Excellent sound quality for the money. Was easy to mount these in my ceiling though it was pre-wired for speakers so didn't have to run wiring.

These are amazing speakers. The install was easy as well. All you really need is a pencil, stud finder and a drywall saw. Using these as the surround rears on a 5.1 set up. Sound is crisp and clean. Highly recommended.

Purchased a pair of these for the ceiling. Grest sound for what I was looking for. I really like the clamping devices to attach it and the cover is magnetic so no visible screws holding it on.

Installation w the template was a breeze. Installed w fiberglass behind w no problems. Sound is clear... Have a sub hooked up so cannot comment on base output but I don't think you'd rely on these for that output. Using for atmos setup.

Bought these open box and they seem brand new. Well built with great full range sound. I think a backer box with apt volume is essential for good bass response. Before installing I tried out the speakers with and without the plywood boxes I made. Huge difference.

These speakers fit into a wall or ceiling. I mounted ours in the wall, and they look very nice, with the magnetic speaker cover lying flush against the wall. They sound very good, too, and provide a great set of rear speakers for surround sound.

Investing in quality audio doesn't always mean breaking the bank, and the Yamaha 6-1/2" 2-Way In-Ceiling Speakers stand as a testament to this philosophy. Offering reasonable sound quality for the price, these speakers have found a sweet spot both in my ceiling and in the market for budget-conscious audio enthusiasts :).

Remodeling the basement and got these to put in the ceiling for surround sound and they are great. Installation was easy and I like that I can point the sound in the direction I want.

Easy to install and they sound great. Well built and the magnetic screen makes things so much easier. I installed myself in a pre-wired home and it was simple.

Great sound with minimal sound transfer to the floor above. Easy to install if you have a roto zip tool. Watch placement though. If you are too close to a joist you cannot deploy the screw wing.

Have these outside covered patio and the sound great. Nice balance between lows and highs. Good price and quality product.
