I mounted four of the Yamaha ceiling speakers in a basement room with drop ceilings. Yamaha does not make a bracket for these, so if you're mounting in ceiling tile, you'll need to improvise a little to make sure the speaker is properly supported. There are also no back boxes for these, so don't expect to hear bass come rumbling down. These are great for relatively weak ambient sound or maybe for surrounds in a 5.1 system, but you'll need a sub to go with these if you like your music meaty.

I wasn’t sure about going with a flush mount speaker but am pleasantly surprised at the sound quality and rich sound these speakers produce. Looking forward to doing the other 3 rooms

Nothing fancy, but they do the job. Use them in store locations mounted in the ceiling. No issues.

Great set of small speakers for the money. I have then installed outside in my breezeway.

I’m no expert on speakers, but they sound really well. I did turn the rear channels up a little bit. Easy to install.

The speakers look great and are easy to install. The grill is great and easy to install. The sound quality is poor and has lots of static.

Purchased these for master bathroom - excellent sound

I purchased speakers with a warranty about two years ago and after about 18 months there was a noticeable distortion at bass tones. It grew progressively worse so I took them in to Best Buy and got them replaced with little to no hassle because of the warranty. However, the replacement speakers didn't even last as long as the first set. It has been less than 3 months and they blew again. I am not a guy who cranks the volume either. Most of the time I watch news and home shows. A couple times a week I may watch a movie, but rarely ever turn up the volume to 1/2 of volume meter. Best Buy no longer offers warranties, so I am going to have to deal with the Yamaha manufacturers warranty. In the meantime, I purchased a pair of Klipsch in-ceiling speakers which appears to get great reviews. Crossing my fingers those will be better. I would not recommend the Yamaha speakers to anyone since they are extremely unreliable and prone to blowing in my experience.

The sound wasn’t what I thought it would be. I will have to get better ones later .
