I love the upgrade to my new Yamaha receiver. I had one prior but as electronics go, older equipment gets dated and doesnt perform as good.
Geek squad installed it for us and did a great job.

Bought an open box was supposed to be excellent condition. When we received it, it was just the product in the box. No packaging to keep it from bouncing around nothing no remote no power cord even no booklet. Excellent condition on open box says that none of the accessories are missing. Everything was missing then when you actually looked at the box that someone just tossed it in with no packaging There were several stickers on there one saying excellent condition one saying good condition, one saying fair condition and one saying, poor condition, not only that the product the sides were bulging like it had been dropped previously there was no care in this product when shipped by Best Buy at all.

Musiccast doesn't link via connect id, there's no way to control the inputs via voice like it says there is, I'll be replacing this with another brand that actually works correctly. Not to mention, the cover is made of plastic and feels extremely cheap, the GUI also hasn't been upgraded in 30 years. Yamatrash won't be in my house in any capacity moving forward.

I am very happy with this product. You can never go wrong with yamaha a4a aventage. Been a yamaha fan for years now and I got it on black Friday deal. Absolutely no regrets.

Sound was great.
However, if you are looking at full HDMI 2.1 functionality, look elsewhere. This would not pass PS5 nor Xbox Series X VRR and 120Hz.
Finding some info online elsewhere has the limitation being 24Gbps, not the full 48.
Sadly, had to return.

I really wanted to love this receiver. I think Yamaha has the best quality sound; however, for some reason I started to experience audio stuttering. It would come and go, but very noticeable. I had no choice but to return it for Denon. I’m sad but glad I did.

After purchasing this unit I realized this is essentially an RX-V6A with an Aventage chassis, slighty better amp and power supply. Not worth the nearly $500 increase. The sound quality, video quality and features are no better. In my opinion this is not an Aventage. I returned this and purchased an A4A and it is far better. I was surprised how much better the A4A sounds.

Nice features and works well with both my TV and streaming options. The geek squad contact did an excellent job in connecting all my various room speakers and home theater.

Great sound. Their is a glitch with the receiver. When you try and change inputs it just goes black and doesnt work. Yamaha should fix this quickly.. will end up taking back.

Came by in short notice, diagnosed the problem, took care of it and took the time to explain to me how and what was done to fix it.
Thank you to Marco and David.

Lots of small issues. 4k, HDR, Atmos you name it. Not prime time Yamaha device. Get at least the A4A or go for another series. The A2A is not worth it.
