    HDMI is a bit glitchy and software a bit slow. Has a warm sound we do love though. Sounds great for movies and music, not just one or the other like other receivers.

    The sound on this receiver has been great and I've enjoyed hearing my programs and shows with new ears! However, this is not a receiver for the novice, so I recommend getting the Geek Squad to connect and set everything up!

    Installed a custom 7.1 surround system at this Yamaha is the heart. I cannot be more pleased with its sound and function. I have not explored all its capabilities but what an upgrade to my 12 year old Marantz.

    This receiver is AWESOME. Sound performance is what I thought I would get from a Yamaha but then there was even more. App control is great for the additional zone and simple. Nothing beats a Yamaha.

    Love this receiver. Great build quality, and Excellent sound quality. Replace my Pioneer vsx-1124 in my home theater, made for a sizable change in surround separation and clarity.

    Sounds great with the TV and music We had someone hook it up it didn’t take him That long most of the time was spent explaining things. This receiver can do much more that we will probably ever use.

    Was always a Yamaha user and fan, ended up purchasing the Sony str-dn 1080, and returned it for this unit. Aventage is perfect for whatever you use it for
