not working because my receiver has not been setup to work with the speakers

They didn’t work :( not the right speakers for me.

This purchase was not a disappointment. I was a little reluctant spending just over $100 for speakers that are sitting outside in the elements, but I am very glad that I bought these Yamahas! The sound quality is very very good. Tweeters jump out at you, and the low end hits with a nice degree of tightness. Ive pushed them pretty hard, and no clipping, no distorting. Yamaha has done it once again. My band's PA is all Yamaha Club V speakers, my home entertainment system uses all Yamaha speakers, and now my deck has Yamahas! All of which have impressed year after year after year.

I bought these speakers on a chance since the display amp driving all the outdoor speakers was a cheapo amp. I took these speakers home and put them on my Onkyo Receiver and was really suprised by how great they sounded for a $100.00 pair of speakers!

Had my kids stop and get me a receiver and speakers. They came home with the receiver that I wanted and these speakers, they were not what I wanted but installed them any way and am very excited and happy with them. They are much better than I thought they would be. Great sound for such small speakers. They are installed in my garage and can be heard over 100 years away and are very clear with out any distortion at the higher volume my receiver puts out very happy with these speakers

These speakers pack a good base with clear sound, with quality just under the doubly priced top-of-the-line ones, on a compact outdoor speaker at a great price. I couldn't be happier. I only wish BB had white ones in stock.

Just wanted to have music by the pool; not to reproduce my indoor surround system. Sound is OK, but weak on bass. Some have complained about standing up to the weather. Mine are installed under a 10' overhand so they don't get the sun or rain on them so it is not an issue. Like that there is a safety wire attached just in case the speaker comes loose from the mounting.

I received these speakers as a gift and was skeptical about the size and being able to deliver a decent sound outdoors. Was I ever wrong!! These speakers deliver such good sound with my sattelite radio and cd player that, for the 1st time ever, I have the bass and treble settings at 0 or neutral. I have had them 2months, installed under the eave of my roof about 10 feet apart and 15 feet from my deck. The sound is very well balanced and clean. I would highly recommend these speakers to my friends and family.

I used them to extend jukebox music outside a commercial venue. I didn't have an overhang to place them under to protect from rain. I hope they are fairly water resistant. Since these are placed outdoors, I would like to see mounting bracket unable to be removed without special tools to protect from theft. The sound was good for the price. I think they should work out well.

Use for outdoor deck and they were easy to install & sound great; they replaced another set of 10 year old speakers & I can't believe how much better they sound

Easy to mount and connect. These speakers provide a nice balanced sound. A little light on bass but it's only a 5.5" woofer. Mids and highs sound natural. Overall performance is very good. I received several complements on the look and sound after a recent party. I'm very happy with these Yamaha's!

Great value for $100. Sound great. Solid mounting. No problems. Hope they hold up like the ones I've seen elsewhere that have been outside for years.

Great deal at $59 and I'm definitely very satisfied. I don't play music real loud, so I'm not sure about clarity at high volumes. The volume from them definitely depends on how directly in front of them you are located. The sound is not quite as spacious as I wished it was, but how can I complain at this price?

I was having an outdoor pool party and needed to bring my sound system outside. We had a Yamaha tuner and speakers inside. We really loved our sound system and wanted to enhance it for outside as well. I was able to hook up my i-pod and play the party list outside. It wasn't too long before everyone was dancing and having a great time. Now that the party's over, I am still sitting on my deck by the pool and listening to music. I am so happy we got these speakers!

Love these speakers and would recommend them for outdoor use. Easy to install, look nice and sound terrific.

These are my second set of the same Yamaha speakers. Love them clear crisp sound. If needed I would purchase the same set if available if they too were tarnished by concrete work.

Product is 5 stars. They were ordered because they said they could deliver them by Saturday. They came the next Tuesday. They sound great, just arrived three days after I needed them.

Bought speakers for my patio and they sound great and very clear.. They actually sounded better on my patio than at the store. Buy them, You won't be disappointed. Just don't try to pump too much sound in them, they will clip...
