I originally purchased the Sony receiver and realized it didn't have AM radio or an RG connector for the FM radio. I purchased this Yamaha radio and it had what I required, but actually I feel the Soni sounded a little bit better. Not saying the Yamaha doesn't sound good. It does. All in all I feel , for what I paid for it, it's a very nice choice. Just wish I was able to get a stereo unit with wifi capabilities. Don't think that exists. Very happy with this unit.

Put this Yamaha receiver in my workshed, and it WOWS! Excellent power delivery, easily drives two channels with a pure and clear sound. If you are looking for an entry level receiver to drive up to two channels (4 speakers), this is an absolute slam dunk for the price tag!

Bought this receiver to replace one we had in our garage. It has A&B, connects via Bluetooth to your phone. Works perfect for what we needed and at an awesome price. We also have the Yamaha outdoor speakers we use with the receiver.

Needed to replace my old amp and radio - two big pieces of furniture with one. Downsizing was a plus to begin with, but the Bluetooth capability was even better. Use it to stream music from my iPad and/or phone. All in all, basic receiver with bluetooth, just what I needed.

This replaced my 40 year old Yamaha: I should have done it years ago. Sound is great, easy to set up. Cost just a bit more than it would have cost to fix the old one. Good reception for radio, even in NYC apartment, runs CD player and cassette. I don’t know about it running a whole media center, but for the basic stereo system, even with two sets of speakers, this is great

I purchased this receiver to replace an over 10 year old Denon. This is a basic receiver with bluetooth audio and an integrated AM and FM tuner. Some of the receivers in this price range did not include an AM tuner such as the Sony STRDH190. It was not as loud as my previous Denon receiver so I have to have the volume at a higher setting though the sound is crisp and clear. This was used to drive an in-home in-ceiling speaker system. The remote is simple to use and has good range.

I use the receiver with my Yamaha 6-1/2 2-way outdoor speakers and it sounds great! i love the fact that I can use blue tooth to listen to my music. So far i feel like I made a great purchase. The only Improvement that I recommend is that the speaker wire terminals could be a little larger to except a heavy gauge speaker wire.

Great Stereo receiver for the $$. Powering my Niles 7.2's for the pool area, plenty of power for my entire 60x100 back yard area. I would have given it 5 stars, but the Bluetooth doesn't work past about 30 feet, so I have to leave the phone inside in order to connect. Also connected a second set of speakers in my work room along with my old CD changer and cassette deck. Very satisfied.

One of the very few remaining simple AV recievers left out there. Extremely straightforward- plug in components, plug in speaker wires and go. The two zone option works well when you have an indoor and outdoor set up. Very nice looking, solid piece. Sound is great coming out of the speakers. Bluetooth option is nice, and was easy to set up and connect.

Was looking for a receiver to play music to our pool area. The make and price of this one caught my attention. Owned many Yamaha products. Glad I bought it, fits the bill. Pluses… A/B speaker selection and Bluetooth capability. It was be nice if it had an optical port for a tv. The sound is good so far. The display is a little small. Remote does everything I need.
