Great sub $200 receiver. Bought to power some outdoor speakers. Bluetooth connectivity was the selling feature for me and was a very easy set up. Plenty of power and sounds great

Easy to get connected and set up with my turntable. Also really like the bluetooth functionality; connecting is pretty simple and it stays connected well. Sounds great with my 100W speakers. For the price and what I needed it for -- basically just my turntable and bluetooth -- it works great. Hard to beat the price too.

Great throw back receiver with plenty of power for a small to mid sized room. Full function remote control and bass and treble adjustments. I deducted one star for the small speaker connectors and no subwoofer pre-out. This is being picky considering the price but the speaker terminals would only support the thinnest gauge wires.

It’s affordable for an exceptionally great sounding unit in this price range. The sound is clean with enough power to bat, I believe that the speakers you choose to use for any unit you buy will also make the difference of course and I use the Yamaha NS6490s. Awesome for my needs. I’m not even using a sub for this setup in my room and the bass is good enough with clear enough mids and highs. I mean you can always spend hundreds or even thousands more and get better, but this does a really great job for an awesome music listening experience. Again, Yamaha is great. The unit is awesome with all the basic outputs and inputs you need if you’re not looking to get to complex.

Needed new receiver in my shop. Speakers are built into ceiling. Bluetooth works great. Plenty of power and great buy. Thinking about getting a pair of bose 201 I understand there a good match for amp.

Being an audiophile for 25 + years and having spent more than $30k over fancy amp + Pre amp / receiver combos ( NAD, Rotel etc.) which kinda conk off after a few years , i can say that this unit is unbelievably good ! Just wow . Powering my b & w cdm7 speakers with aplomb . I actually feel so stupid now but glad that i bought this receiver .

Works great! Connects to my "antique" dual tape player/recorder and overpowers my neighbors system easily. Heh heh heh. For years I've had a crummy little 50 watt amp and it works great inside the house but the neighbors insist on playing their music in their back yard to "share" with everyone else. I figure they have about a hundred watter or so. This new amp is 200 watts. Now it's on... their hip-hop/rap (which I'm not opposed to, it's the VOLUME) vs my old blues and 60's/70's rock. After all these years my tapes still play like they were recorded yesterday. They're finding that out now.

My 20+ year old stereo system's (Kenwood 900 system) stereo control amplifier started to have problems clicking on. So it was time to replace the system. Chose the Yamaha 200W 2-CH. stereo receiver because of price & was using unit just to listen to am/fm stations. Easy to set up. Used my pioneer B522 speakers & all works fine. Did have to turn volume up to mid 40's to hear music from speakers. Intend to install either a 1 or 5 cd player with this.
