Glad to see somebody still makes a simple solid clean and powerful 2 channel stereo amp for audio listening without all the clutter and confusion of a home theater receiver. Plenty of inputs, logical operation, dead-quiet noise floor, basic but responsive remote control. About the only thing it lacks is a built-in phono pre-amp to directly plug-in a turntable here in this era of "vinyl revival." Then again, many newer turntables have a built-in phono pre-amp, or you can buy one to plug into this Yamaha for as little as $25. All told, for less than $150, you get a modern version of the classic stereo receiver that ruled home audio systems from the 60's thru 90's.

This receiver works great I had a older 100×2 receiver and could not handle my two tower speakers. This receiver handles them great and the bletooth works very good. Even at long distances.

I am so glad I purchased this receiver. We built a new house a year ago and we were thinking about getting Control4. If anyone has looked into home automation, it is very expensive. We were only wanting it for music (not lighting, thermostat, etc) so I wanted to check out other options. Went to BestBuy, and the salesman recommended I try this receiver. So glad I did - saved thousands! And it works great! It works on Bluetooth, sync to music source (iPad) and hook up speaker wires (we had hard wire speaker wires that we wired when building the house) and we were listening to music in the house in minutes. Wish we would have purchased a year ago!

Great Quality sound And built in Bluetooth. Need too run speaker level to a subwoofer. Otherwise perfect. It's a lot of power and good looking too. No lfe output… but a fantastic deal.

Great sound quality I have to say. I was surprised at this due to the price being so affordable, but pleasantly surprised the sound is crystal clear and great. I am using 4 speakers with this, two of which are polk. I honestly don't recall what the other two are. But all 4 speakers sound great with this receiver.

This unit was perfect for my needs - 2 zones, easy set up, Bluetooth to my phone. Set up was a breeze. The unit is running 2 inside ceiling speakers and 2 deck speakers. Works great.

Great garage or barn stereo. It still has a coax port for external antenna (the Sony does not!) Decent power and sound. And even a sleep timer to turn off.

This is an amazing receiver especially for the price the Bluetooth works great the sound is great and I’m really surprised on what a great deal this receiver was. It’s a little bit on the low tech side but it does have Bluetooth and it’s probably a good receiver to start out with or put into a garage or shop.

I bought this for our in home sound system. The 100W per channel is more than enough power to run the 5 pair of Martin Logan in-ceiling speakers. Having the Bluetooth connectivity was a huge benefit over the old receiver we used to have. The sound and ease of use for the low price is amazing! Love it!

I needed a new receiver to run my multi room system and this was a perfect replacement. Great sound and easy setup with plenty of power to run my system in 5 rooms and my deck speakers.

This receiver comes with Yamaha's "Natural Sound" technology. You get great mid-range sound - The Harmony that compliments the highs and lows. Add an equalizer and make sure you have a passive or active subwoofer to reach the receiver's full potential. You will get not great sound, but incredible hi-fidelity with crisp voice/ and clear mid-rages. Quality is of High end receiver - PROVEN day in day out. Very Loud that when you put your ears to the speaker it doesn't hurt cause there is very little distortion - pounding clarity that soothes the soul - A BEST BUY for a stereo receiver.

I wanted a receiver to replace my 40 year old Sansui 771 receiver that I had at the office. I have a portable XM Radio that I wanted to hook up and wanted to listen to some talk radio on AM. I was looking for HD radio, but that seemed hard to find in a modestly priced receiver. With some adjustment, I got the AM radio to work pretty well, despite the florescent lighting. The remote control makes it easy to go between AM/FM and my satellite radio. If I am not satisfied with AM reception, the Bluetooth feature is good to connect my smartphone to iHeart Radio or wireless listen to music on my phone.

This is a great receiver that was easy to set up and use. I was looking for something to replace my original receiver I bought back in 1993, so I was looking for something that will last. Hopefully this will. I also wanted a receiver that had AM radio so I can listen to baseball. This is one of the few that has that capability. So far everything is great.

Very happy with this receiver. Fantastic sound quality. Affordable price too.

The receiver allowed me to input sound from my DVD player and TV so that I could use my large speakers to get far better sound output than I could from the speakers built into the TV. Overall we have been quite favorably pleased with this receiver’s combination of price and features. My only complaint is that I am tired of the trend of black equipment cases and fronts on which it is hard to read what each control knob or button regulates because the labeling lacks sufficient contrast and the font used is relatively small. Sometimes it is nice to make an adjustment without using the remote control.

Provides great sound. I paired this with Yamaha outdoor speakers. Very easy to operate. You don't need the remote to set channels. Totally satisfied. Bluetooth is a great feature. Great price for the sound quality.

Very nice receiver, with lots of power and Bluetooth connectivity is excellent. Easy to use with other components line 3 has an output which you could use it as a pre-out to hook up another component or run into an amp. I’ve been up to 80 feet away without losing connection to the Bluetooth even walking outside it goes through walls excellent no interruptions. The only minor drawback is the small spring clips for speaker connections.
