Love this receiver! Tons of power (more than I really need) producing excellent sound quality.

Can't beat it for the price. So far so good. The Yamaha RX-V3858 was a good buy.

For the price, this stereo works pretty well! The unit doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, but it does sound great. I have Polk, and Klipsch speakers, and we all enjoy the movies with the surround sound. Music also sounds great from streaming, CD’s, and my record player. Gaming is pretty good, but I prefer it for music, and movies, and TV shows.

I bought this to replace a Yamaha 5.1 channel receiver that quit working. This one was easy to set up and has some nice features. If it lasts longer than the old one did I will give it an excellent rating.

This is my second Yamaha Receiver and it has all the features I need. The previous model was still going strong after 11 years but didn't have ARC HDMI or Bluetooth

This Yamaha receiver is quite a find. Sound is crisp and noise free. So many options to adjust the sound & configuration. Remote is user friendly & intuitive. So thrilled to have such a high quality receiver at such a decent price. It really feels like a steal. Thank you Best Buy.

It’s extremely smart. Adjusts the sweet spot automatically with a mic that comes with it. Lots of power and produces great sound. Nice remote.

Pretty good receiver. It does what it needs and it’s easy to use. All of the features worked great out of the box and the sound is amazing.

This Yamaha has lots of good features. I think it is more expensive than it should be, but you pay more for Yamaha brand. Easy to setup and sounds great.

Excellent budget receiver. I purchased this product primarily for the virtual cinema front capabilities. Due to space restrictions speakers cannot be placed optimally. Using the virtual front setting along with ypao adjustments provide an immersive soundstage. This setup absolutely spanks any sound bar. Five channel stereo setting unleashes a full wall of balanced sound phenomenal for music playback. Only four stars due to lack of support for the MusicCast app and crossover settings cannot be individually adjusted for each channel.

Has Bluetooth input for connecting a phone or other Bluetooth media. Love this option. Easy to use and sounds great paired with Polk Audio speakers

We bought the predecessor to this system about 20 years ago at Radio Shack. Yamaha made this system at the time for RS. It worked fine for all these years … and it never died … we replaced it for 2 reasons … 1. the remote died and we couldn’t source a new one, and … 2. We needed more modern features that didn’t exist 20 years ago … the old system is in a box in the garage … I can’t throw it away since it still runs fine !…

Ive bought a few of these for clients. Installing them for their home theaters. Works great, amazing sound, easy setup. I suggest making sure it gets hooked to the internet and update the firmware!
