Good starter for small area

It’s been a long time since I’ve had a component system in my home. I miss having a receiver with plug ins for a lot of add on components without huge cost involved.

Yamaha AV Receiver

Right now, I am still trying to figure out the required connections needed to take advantage of the in- wall surround system and my sound bar. That will probably require the purchase of an optical cable to connect the TV's audio out to the receiver. The HDMI connections don't seem to allow the entire system to play in all the available modes.

Like a movie theatre setup with our speakers
