Bought this as an entry for next-gen consoles ( HDMI 2.1 support and EARC support saves so many headaches. ) Recievers often have so many small "handshake" issues where things just don't turn on, but this thing is so little maintenance. I've only had to reboot the thing a couple times ( aside from daily turning on / off ) Works wonderfully inside my home. EARC support is great. If you need it, get it.

Did I get a lemon?

Everything was ok for awhile but now it constantly gets hung up when switching inputs and won’t display anything. U have to unplug the hdmi and plug it back in to fix it. Also now will show video but no sound. U have to unplug the power cord & plug it back in then magically has you have sound again. Settings wont keep so almost every week I have to calibrate it with the mic and then slowly the volume gets less prominent over the next few days (Level -50 is super loud, 3 days later u can barely hear it on Level -25). Could be I got a lemon but $600 for only 2 years just doesn’t seem worth it. Buyer Beware.

The receiver has exceeded all expections.

HDMI 2.1 issue not resolved yet

I purchased this because of the promise of 8k resolution. Then the HDMI 2.1 issue was affected by this... Yamaha said it was running a hardware upgrade program but still nothing. They should refund us or give us the new model they just released in exchange for these.. I Hope they follow through
