Not user friendly
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Seemingly great unit until yiu try to set it up. Many features are buried inside other settings. Unable to to successfully connect via Bluetooth. Excited about the offered features but disappointed with the functionality. I returned it.

Great equipment but no manuals included.

Second worst receiver I've owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This receiver is one of the worst I've owned. Inputs switch all over the place if ARC is on, but you can't control anything if it's off. Some devices will flash 4 or 5 times before the picture is displayed and it does not work well with the Xbox One or Series X at all. Terrible device. Still doesn't work with 60fps 4k on xbox either, despite what the specs say, and Yamaha has no plans on fixing the chip in it

Don't buy me.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are frustrating sound issues with this unit. During initialization the sound takes SEVERAL seconds to come on (the picture comes on normally). Once the sound cuts on, it lasts mere seconds. Generally the sound comes on to stay after the recycle.

not terrible but not good either
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was mostly disappointed with the RX-V6A after direct comparison to Yamaha's own Aventage line, and to a couple of 2019 Denon AVRs. Bland sound and buggy when paired with LG OLED TV.

NOT HDMI 2.1
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this looking for full HDMI 2.1 support. It's capped at 24Gbps even after HDMI board replacement. Will never buy another Yamaha product after they lied repeatedly. Also, this thing constantly cuts out or is mute for the first couple of seconds after switching songs or inputs, super annoying. Came from a Sony STR-DN1080 and had zero complaints with it but needed HDMI 2.1 for RTX 3000, PS5, and Xbox Series X. DO NO BUY THIS JUNK

Not quite ready.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd been waiting anxiously for these to come out as I needed a replacement for an older Yamaha unit. Setup was familiar as I also have an A780. However, in less than 2 weeks, the video pass thru function failed. Seeing as the units main purpose was to work with our new Samsung QLED tv, this was a real problem. I did some research and this model is having LOTS of teething problems. Yamaha is holding back from any software updates until January. The video pass thru issue is a common problem. I returned the unit for a refund and would definitely wait a few months before purchasing again.
