I found it hard to set up. I set it up for 2 stations and it wasn’t easy to use. I exchanged it for the 9.2 channel and I am completely satisfied with it.

User interface could be much better but it does produce really good sound once everything is set. There is a definite learning curve so you will have to be patient and do a lot of reading. Once everything is set the surround sound is awesome.

Very solid receiver. I prefer the menu system from my old pioneer elite. Settings are a little harder to navigate but I'm sure I will learn soon enough. As far as power goes it powers my speakers great. I do notice a better sound from my speakers but I still need to tweek some settings still. Definate must have for new gen gaming.

Man o man. This amp blows the doors off the other competitors. I’ve had the Sony for three years and it finally quit working.
This Yamaha nails it. It blew the cobwebs out of my Polks. My Yamaha subwoofers came to life. It’s as if all my speakers were dormant for the past year. I have the 7.2 setup and 8k television. The television itself has changed thanks to the 8k HDMI cable. If you don’t have the 2.1 cable I would advise getting one in order to take advantage of the new technology coming from Yamaha.
I recommend this amplifier to everyone looking for the latest technology.
Go Yamaha!!! Well done!

Good modern update for our home theater system. Was easy to set up and while it now sounds great, there were a few things to work through in the setup:
1. I used the included microphone to automatically configure the audio settings and this didn't work well at all. Sounded terrible frankly- front channel was completely muffled, couldn't hear dialogue and the sides and rear channels had almost zero audio coming through them.
2. So I had to go in and manually adjust all of the audio settings to get the home theater sounding right.

This is a great receiver. It has the power to push all the speakers throughout the House. The sound is also excellent. The remote is user friendly. The receiver has a nice clean look.

The excellent RX-V6A receiver performs very well. I have 5.1 surround sound but will be adding atmos speakers and another subwoofer in the near future. Plenty of power, easy to understand and install.

I've been a fan of Yamaha receivers for many years and the RX-V6A does not disappoint. The only thing I don't like is the manual is digitial, no paper copy. Any problems I've had with this reciever where quicky resolver by Yamahas customer support. Bottom line is, this is a great feature packed receiver.

Excellent receiver with distortion-free output (cleaner than almost any amp I've heard) and easy setup. YPAO works great to customize speaker setup. I know there are some haters for the new design, but I like it. Small gripes: should have a detachable power cord, and still no timeline on when firmware will be ready for the HDMI 2.1 features.

Solid receiver in all aspects...........excellent sound quality with CD's, DVD's, Blu-Ray DVD's & 4K (discs or streaming). Also, has ARC/eARC HDMI. Had several Yamaha receivers and this might be the best I've had.
