I wanted a soundbar to use for a desktop 27 inch monitor and this works very well. Sound is amazing with deep base and surround sound effects. Clear voice makes it seem like there is a center channel. Gets pretty loud. Would be great for TV's up to 50".
I have a Bose solo 5 and this is much better in sound quality and bass.

Great sound in a small package. I’m no audiophile but this sound bar greatly enhanced our TV experience. Greatly improves the quality of dialogue and provides a rich sound, including bass (despite not having a standalone woofer). Easy to operate. Exceptional quality for the price.

This sound bar gets plenty loud for its size, and the built in subwoofer is amazing. I never expected it to get as deep as it does, and the overall volume is great. My only real complaint is if I have the volume up, it would be nice for it to stay that way, but I get why it turns down when it was left at max volume. The fact that there is an analog jack on this sound bar is a nice addition when more and more devices are removing it. I currently have this sound bar connected to my desktop through a TC-Helicon GoXLR, and that jack is needed. It is incredibly simple to mount it using the included template and the built in keyholes, so no additional mounting hardware is needed at all. Just a couple of screws and mollies if you don't mount it into a stud. Overall, I am very impressed with it.

Bought this to go with a 43 inch screen going in a bedroom. Big upgrade to the poor built in screen speakers. Goes reasonable loud with OK amount of bass for a bedroom and listening to streaming content and music.

Even though I had dropped multiple hints about wanting this, our first soundbar, for Christmas I was still surprised when I got it from my wife. Initially, she had reservations about it being too loud but we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound coming from this Yamaha SR-C20A. Don't let it's small form factor fool you, it delivers! Loud or soft, this soundbar has the depth and clarity you might be looking for. So far, we have watched a wide variety of programming from sitcoms to romcoms to Marvel movies, and compared to the built-in sound of our Samsung UN55HU6830F TV it is like rediscovering things, what's old is new again. The voice clarity feature is terrific but it didn't seem to work with the low-volume dialog sequences in "The Last Waltz" (although the music was great), and I have a feeling that it's just the way the film was made.
Yes, the remote is kind of old-school looking but since the bar worked great right out of the box with our Xfinity remote we have barely touched it. I used the HDMI arc connections, running that and the A/C wire up in the wall for a neater appearance. Their smartphone app works pretty well too.

A smaller soundbar with great sound that's easy to wall mount under your TV to hide wires. The sound was surprisingly good with solid bass for a smaller unit. The remote allows you to pick several variations of sound for music and movies with voice enhancement for quiet movie dialog and you can also download an app to put the remote controls on your phone. There's also a mounting templet for easy wall mounting. Great value for the money as well. Very happy with this soundbar!

This was a gift for my Mom that was paired with a Hisense U6G tv that had the normal lacking audio quality TVs are known for. The Yamaha soundbar was exactly what the doctor ordered. Nice punchy bass and clean mids/highs all in a small single unit that comfortably fits on the credenza underneath the tv. This connected via the ARC HDMI flawlessly, so my Mom is able to use only a single remote when watching tv. Overalls, could not be more satisfied.

This has good clear treble and a solid bass. The subwoofer is solid. The voice enhancement is very good. The compact size is very nice for a regular size tv room, den, office, condo, apartment, dorm, or office. The Bluetooth feature works well. It is a good produce,

Awesome soundbar at a great price.
We got this to connect with our new LG A1 ThinQ and the combo of these two is exceptional. This soundbar adds a depth of clarity and quality to any movie, show, music, etc. The subwoofer in it is not going to rattle your house if that is what you are looking for, but, for a well rounded movie night, gaming, or music quality sound set up, this is it and provides capable audio. I have had zero issues thus far with any crackling, popping, or poor sound issues. Connection set up is very easy and the remote is intuitive with all the buttons you need and none that you don’t. The only thing I have noticed is the “stereo” and the “game” modes sound identical. It’s not a bad thing per se, but there is no audible difference to me in the two but either sound just fine for game or movie uses. The Bluetooth function works wonderful and connects to our other devices seamlessly and we often use this as a Bluetooth speaker for the home whenever we are relaxing around the home.
If you are familiar with Yamaha quality then this will be as you expect. If you aren’t familiar with it, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Great little soundbar. Purchased it for our bedroom to have a little more volume & bass than the tv speakers could provide.
NOTE: You must have ARC-capable HDMI input on your television in order to have only one cable going between the soundbar & tv. If you do not have an ARC HDMI I put you’ll need to also have an optical audio input and use the included optical cable as well.

I purchased this sound bar as a gift, and my gifting resume is still fantastic, The person that received this Yamaha sound bar loves the sound and size of the bar. The built in subwoofer means there's less stuff on the floor to trip over. If your looking for an upgrade from the TV sound for a: bedroom, dorm, or a small apartment with sensitive neighbors, this might be the sound bar for you.

I selected this Soundbar because of its smaller footprint, its reasonable price, and because I know that Yamaha products are high quality. It has proved to be exactly what I was looking for - not theatre quality sound, but bringing the sonic experience of my hi-res TV up to the video experience. I am very pleased with this unit; sure there much more expensive, bigger, and impressive units, but this one exactly satisfied my wishes.

Great value! Can't beat it for the price. Replaced a much more expensive Bose soundbar 300. While the Bose was nice and had more features, this one has a fuller, richer sound I prefer. Nice compact size fits nicely with a smaller tv. This Yamaha also a nice faux surround effect. Bass from the built in sub is adjustable, at high level is strong but not overpowering. It also has ann nice app to control it from your phone. Great buy!

Despite being labeled compact, the sound of this product (especially the subwoofer) is booming without taking away from the clarity. There are a variety of ways to connect audio equipment. I found the availability of options convenient and the performance pleasing. The different modes enhanced my entertainment experience by allowing me to select suitable options tailored towards the programming I'm watching. However, there seems to be a misleading claim (from manual) of this device being able to be controlled via the Yamaha Sound Bar app. Unfortunately, this would not work on Android or iOS devices given that the soundbar does not have network capabilities. Overall, this is a great product.

The Yamaha 2.1 channel sound bar did not disappoint. It packs a lot of punch for a small speaker. For the price, it is a great introduction to anyone who has not used an alternate speaker for streaming movies and shows. It has been a month, and I have not experienced a delay in the sound. It does not take up a lot of room. It came with the fiber optic wire I needed, so I did not need to purchase an HDMI cable. The sound is great and loud enough. The speaker can isolate dialogue, so it is easier for my wife to hear the dialog in the movie or show without having to crank the volume.

Overall I'd give it 4 stars. It's better than the speakers on our Sony X series 65" TV from a few years back, but not quite as good as I was hoping. Dialogue is good but there's not a lot of depth in the mid and low range.
There is one very frequent bug that drives us nuts: when you power on the TV, connected to the soundbar via bluetooth, it plays any sound at full volume (very loud) until you turn the volume up or down, then it resets to the volume it's supposed to be at. I haven't found a way around this other than switch to a wired connection. Other soundbars haven't done this with the same TV.
For the price paid, the value is very high.

The sound quality is really good. I had bought 2 other kinds of sound bars (different brands) & they were terrible. Im glad I bought this sound bar! It was on sale, too. I’m in a small apartment & I use it in the living room. There is not a volume limit that I can tell which I’m glad because some bars can only go so loud. This can get very loud but still clear & not muffled.

Great sound. What a difference. Can hear so many more sound effects and background music. Easy to install. I did not need any additional parts. I read the reviews of the sound bars available in my local store. Made the right choice. I also chose this because it does not require the large ugly Subwoofer. The subwoofer is apparently built in to the sound bar.

Compact size is really a plus for a home office setting. Design is really smart, including a subwoofer and HDMI-ARC usually not found in comparable designs at this price point. At significant discount off list, a really good deal. Sound is much more than good enough for home office or bedroom. Much better performance than comparable LG and Vizio models.
