I purchased this because it appeared to be a healthy alternative for dessert for my kids. My kids enjoy the process of making it more than the taste of the food itself. It's not bad but not great either. We have not gotten as much use as I hoped out of it. One negative is the need to freeze the fruit before it can be used. This totally eliminates the ability to spontaneously use it.

I've only made this a couple of times but I love it. I'm an ice cream lover so this is perfect. I'm also a member of Weight Watchers and fruit is a free food. I like the little suggestion/recipe book that comes with it. I talked a friend into buying one. She suggested if you didn't like the flavor of bananas use a little bit of vanilla. You can buy frozen fruit a lot cheaper than fresh and can get a variety all year long.

I love my Yonanas!! It's a great replacement for ice cream and it's super easy to use and clean. Make sure your fruit is thawed for longer than it's advertised in order to get it to come out creamy if your fridge is on high. I followed the instructions, but I guess it depends on how cold the freezer is.

The Yonanas machine gives you a frozen treat with no additives. It is something that can be prepared quickly. The directions say to let the fruit sit out & thaw some before putting in the machine, but I sometimes put the fruit in the microwave for a few seconds in order to speed the process up a bit. My only complaint is that a good amount of the frozen fruit stays in the machine, so you need to open the machine up right then & scrape it out.

It's a great little gadget. I find we use it a four times a week for dessert. The only thing I don't like is that it's mostly plastic but we haven't had any problems with it so far. Honestly I would buy another one if this one did break. Overall it's a good value and a great product.

First off, there's another review out there where is someone is upset that this machine doesn't make vanilla soft serve ice cream. That's true, it doesn't make soft serve vanilla ice cream. It does however make something like soft serve consistency but flavored with bananas and other fruit. It does it well. The kids love it, it's simple and easy as long as you remember to freeze your fruit first.

I bought this for my wife to add to her juicing / blending collection and we were both pleasantly surprised at the texture and taste of the fruity ice cream produced. I must warn you that the blades are not the strongest and the fruit cannot be solid frozen for use. You have to some what thaw them out or freeze them at the right blend to get the best product. You also have to experiment with different fruit combinations and other ingredients to get better tasting ice cream.

The only con about this product is having to put the fruit through the yonana several times to be smooth

This is a great product. What an ingenious idea to take frozen fruit, blend it up into a product that looks and feels like soft serve ice cream but is from healthy fruit. It cleans up like a dream and we are nowhere through the different flavors that you can make with this. Going into summer, this will get used several times each week.

I highly recommend the Yonana's machine. It makes great soft ice cream from natural, frozen fruit, eliminating the chemicals and fat in regular ice cream. You can put it in the freezer for a few minutes if you prefer your ice cream harder.

I've only used it once and it pureed the fruit pretty well except for one piece that wouldn't go through no matter what I did. I had to run the fruit through 3 times, the last time, to get that soft serve consistency that was promised. Again, I've only used it once so far and will probably find a method that works best for my specific taste.

It's amazing how this thing can make a banana look and taste like ice cream. Just keep a few bananas in the freezer, take one out and let it thaw for 10 minutes, and then run it through the machine. You can mix it with all kinds on extra stuff, from frozen fruit to cookies or peanut butter.
