If you're looking for an all in one system to use for photos and videography, the Yuneec Typhoon q500 4k delivers professional quality footage. The included ST10 controller is well built and intuitive. The screen is not especially bright for daytime outdoor use but when used with the included sun shield it is manageable. Overall changing settings and the overall responsiveness of the controller with the drone cannot be beat at this price point. The drone itself is a little on the larger side but I regularly get about 20 min of flight time. Which is still a lot of footage with the high quality CGO3. The punch out in the drone is a little slower that others but for the purpose of videography the speeds this drone goes are just fine. I suspect changing the type of blades used with the typhoon would help improve the overall speed. I am not looking to race with it so for my purposes it works great. The Yuneec has a slew of functions including follow me and some other smart functions like smart orientation. In terms of all it's features it checks all the boxes. I've gotten about 1500ft away with it being controlled just fine. The Yuneec Typhoon 4k is not meant to compete with the range on the DJI Light bridge so don't expect to fly it from miles away. The included 4k camera and 3 axis gyrostabilized gimbal are phenomenal and allow for amazing footage even in windy conditions. I've flown in 16mph winds gusting to 20mph and gotten footage that is extremely still. The last thing I would say is start with a smaller more inexpensive drone before dropping the money on this guy. It will help with your piloting and orientation and if you crash it you're not out $800.00 or more. For everything included with the drone and how it handles I would have no problem buying this again.

This Quadcopter is awesome. Fly's really well even for beginners! 4k Camera takes good shots during the day but lacks quality at night! I would recommend this even for a first!

This is a very good entry level drone for some one who has had some first time drone experience! Camera is very nice and takes great videos the controller is very clear and easy to use it could use some better directions but as a hole great for the price!

I love this, but the frame on the Typhoon it's too bad. Especially around the legs!. Get crack soo easy.

This is my first drone. I was worried I would crash it the first day after I got it, but it is easy to fly. I absolutely love flying for fun and getting some awesome photo and video. Great drone!

Purchased during Christmas for my son. Because we live in Colorado and the weather was snowy and icy, we were unable to fly to aircraft until recently. We following instructions, we charged the battery according to the instructions and flew one time for about 10 min as it was getting late in the day. The next time we took it out the unit would not power back on. We called the manufacture, and they told is the product is under warranty however the battery is on a 30 day warranty and we have exceeded our 30 days window. I tried to plead with the rep that this unit was purchased brand new and never opened unit the weather was warm enough to fly. How can we as a customer be held to 30 day warranty on an items that was never opened and/or used. The warranty was expired prior to us being able to use the product due to Colorado weather. Had we taken it out ti fly in the snow, the warranty would have been void based on bad weather conditions. I requested a replacement battery as was denied y request and was told that I would need to pay full price for a replacement. I would never recommend this product to anyone interested and I can only base that decisions is based only on their horribly rude customer customer service as we've only flow the aircraft for less than 10 min total. -My teenage son begged us to buy this for him for Christmas and now it just sits in a box until we can afford to purchase another battery -in my heart, I they should do the right thing a send a replacement battery at no cost. Every opportunity I get I will do my best to update forms with feed back on the product and their customer support. I was in the store last week and was able to talk someone out of buying this because of the troubles we've experienced with the unit and their support..

This was a good choice for me to start with. It was easy to learn to fly and seems to be very stable in the air. I'm very happy with the choice I made to purchase this item!

This Drone is awesome! I've owned the Solo and Phantom 4. The style, flight, controller and available Yunsim flight sim is amazing. This Drone and controller turns heads, and is a serious conversation piece. The Q500 4K and ST10+ Controller are high quality. On the single battery you get about 25 minutes of flight time. I highly recommend purchasing an additional battery. Like I did. The only thing negative I have to say, is that my kit did not come with a lanyard for the controller. The blue shirt employee who helped me, told me that this drone does not have any follow me modes. He was so wrong! I'm so glad I did my research. The follow me mode and watching mode is amazing, and works very well. I highly recommend this model over all other models. This kit is an exceptional value.

This was a christmas gift for my boyfriend. He absolutely loves it and can't believe the quality of the stills/video even on a windy day! The only downside to this drone from what I can tell is that initially you can not fly it within 4 Mile's of an airport but he said it was easy to get a software update to get around this. He has crashed it a few times but all that needed fixing was some new props and it was off and flying again.

I resent bought this drone and what a great price. It came ready to fly and right away i was able to fly it. Very very easy drone to start up with will be a Yuneec customer for life and thanks Best Buy

This drone works great... Outstanding video quality... Just, follow all instructions. Buy a second battery. I have tried it in some windy conditions and woks perfect.

I had been wanting to get a drone for a long time, and just could not find the right price point to start out with. I really wanted a drone that had a good camera. At first I bought a 3DR Solo around Black Friday 2016 after reading decent reviews so I cashed out my My Best Buy Points and picked it up along with a new tablet and a Go Pro. Once I got my new drone set it up and charged everything that was as far as it got no matter what I did the drone would never take off; I would exchange it for 2 more all with the same results it never would fly. So I gave up on the Solo and returned it and got my points back and just waited for one of the other big names to come down to my price point. So in the summer of 2017 B and H Photo had the Q500 on sale for half price so I cashed out my points again and called BB for a price match which they did and 2 days later I got my drone but this time after charging everything up I was up in the air and hooked. I know that everyone drinks DJI's KoolAid but I must say I love what Yuneec has done. Yuneec doesn't get the attention they deserve. I have always had a problem with one brand getting all the attention and public interest; it is always a sign of a company that knows it is popular and can charge what they want, have poor service, and be slow to innovate; which to me that is DJI. Yuneec is putting together drones that are accessible and require no additional hardware. The all in one controller is great no need to find the right phone or tablet and no need for a Go Pro. The Q500 had it all. It is a great beginner drone and has a lot of features to work with and not be overwhelmed. Now the drone is slow with about 17 mph at max in Angle mode and the screen on the remote can be choppy but despite those flaws I still highly recommend this drone as a starter. So far after 6 months of flying I have not had any crashes caused by user error now I did have one fatal crash not long after I got the drone, but that was due to hardware failure and Yuneec gladly repaired and replaced everything that broke on the drone for free including the camera that was ripped off from the fall in the woods and never retrieved. Customer Service was fair and the service department was fantastic in keeping me informed of all the repair updates. I have enjoyed this drone ever since and as a matter of fact it fueled a new habit and I just recently bought the Typhoon H which is a great drone but I could not have made that leap without the Q500. I still fly the Q500 and love it along with the H. You will not regret this purchase.

I researched multiple drones ranging from the 3dr solo and dji phantom series. Nothing matched the yuneec. It's very easy to use . It has modes to start as a beginner/ intermediate / and pro. The 4K resolution is wonderful. I've only taken it 400 feet up and 1100 feet out and it's work great!!

I purchased this from Yuneec in Ontario CA. Ryan was very informative and even let me test fly a production model in their parking lot. Being a professional photographer I really need something with a more professional camera set up like the DJI Inspire with the Zenmuse X5 camera rig. If you are in the market for a great starter drone with a good 4k camera this is the drone for you

This quadcopter looks amazing, which is why I purchased one in the first place. The camera I think, is best I have used that comes with a quad, and the handheld gimbal is also great. The main issues with the Q500 was short range and lack of speed. It only goes around 17 mph while using the gps and signal dropped constantly before 1000 feet. Aside from those two things, it is a great quad.

This is an excellent quadcopter with HD video camera. It is very stable and easy to fly and takes great video with no vibrations. However unless you have a computer that can play 4K video keep it set to 1080p at 60 FPS. 120FPS and 4K plays back very herky jerky. Also the camera only shoots in 5 minute segments, so if you want a long video you will have to edit them together.

Given as a gift for Christmas. Adult owned and operated. Excellent packaging, easy set up and ready to use for the first flight in about an hour after the batteries charged. Easy to operate and love the screen in the controller. The user interface on the controller, camera and drone itself is very simple to understand with lots of options. Awesome fun to fly and the camera takes amazing photos.

Wow is this drone amazing. Very easy to fly right out of the box. auto stabilization so if you let go of the sticks, the drone just hovers for you. Return to home, and the drone lands right where you took off from. The camera takes great video, and the watch me mode keeps the action on you. Super simple, yet quite advanced. I am impressed. Get an extra battery and a bigger memory card. The video files are quite large since it is 4K quality.

I have flown this one about 10 hrs. now and it's wonderful! It flies very easily and it's not difficult at all. I bought this one so I can make some movies and photos for my work and it does this like no other. I can't get enough of it.
